Very clean Suburban for sale. I am the second owner, the first was a woman that was a traveling sales person, so most of the miles are highway. The oil has been changed every 6000 miles since it was purchased. I am meticulous about the care of this truck. The tires are Bridgestone Duelers and are two years old with about 18000 miles on them, The transmission, lines and boxes, were replaced completely new a year ago by my Chevrolet dealer. The motor is very strong, and the oil pressure does not falter at 80 miles an hour when the air conditioning is turned on high. The A/C blows ice cold, the heated seats work great as does the radio, cd, satellite, and dvd player. It has the Bose speaker system and it rocks. There have never been any kids, dogs, or smokers in this truck, it also has never been on a beach nor off-road. The miles are up there but a well taken care of Suburban can go 300,000 miles easily, and this one has been babied. There are signs of age and minor wear and tear but all in all it is in excellent condition. Most truck with this many miles are beat to shit and look tired, this is not at all. There is hardly, if any, rust on the truck. The only "dent" to report is in the rear passenger side next to a scratch(in photo). A non-refundable $1000 deposit via paypal is required within 24 hours to complete the sale. LG Chem's troubled Chevy Volt battery plant hiring once again
Thu, Sep 25 2014The Michigan battery plant known for paying its workers to do nothing has turned things around and is now hiring more workers, specifically to do something. South Korea-based LG Chem, which runs the factory to supply the Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in vehicle with its lithium-ion batteries, held a job fair recently to bring on 40 new employees in order to meet higher battery demand, according to WZZM, the ABC affiliate for Grand Rapids, MI. The LG Chem factory is in Holland, MI, about 30 miles west of Grand Rapids, and it made its first batteries last year. Prior to that, though, the factory gained notoriety after a US Department of Energy (DOE) probe found that workers there were getting paid to do, well, nothing. That's because demand for the battery packs was so low that it cost less for the plant to sit idle. The DOE was conducting the probe because of its financial grant to LG Chem. But that was then and today is today. LG Chem is looking to ramp up production in advance of the second-generation Volt. That 2016 model-year version is said to have a longer all-electric range and better performance and will ride on a new chassis, but few official details have surfaced. We will know more when we get our first look at the car at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood.
