This 2001 Chevy Suburban 4x4 has done it's job and has taken good care of my family. I'm the 2nd owner and I've performed all the required maintenance on this grocery getter myself. My wife is the one who drives it and all she does is pick up groceries and drop kids off at soccer practice. I made a deal with my wife that I would get her a new car after college, now I have to keep my end of the deal. Shouldn't of open my big mouth! We just drove this suburban from Columbus GA to Killeen Tx and I can still get 509 miles per gas tank which breaks down to 16.9 mpg. I'm confident this SUV can make it anywhere in the country without any problems, last year I drove it from Utah to Georgia as comfortable as it's meant to be with 3 kids in the back screaming they need to pee every 20 miles or so :). I'm in the military so I have access to the mechanics shop on post, I regularly take my cars there to do routine maintenance, the car currently has 174,000 miles but runs great and transmission shifts smoothly, both engine and tranny have had all the maintenance done to go for another 100k miles without a major problem. Within the last year I've -

-Maintenance the rear end ($200)
-changed the original spark plugs and wires ($60)
-Added 22" wheels and tires ($1,700)
-New water pump and thermostat (this spring) ($140)
-tinted windows (maybe to dark in some states) ($200)
-recharge air conditioner (professionally of course, blows ice cold) ($100)
-installed a new stereo ($250)

I really don't want to sell it, I know it's a great running car and since we don't owe anything on it it's just savings us more money each month. The car doesn't leak anything at all, come to think of it I think it's been the only vehicle that hasn't left a oil stain in my garage. Anyone who buys it can be confident they can drive this home without any issues. The next oil change it due in 2,000 miles. All the windows work as well as the rear A/C unit. I don't want to sell it but my wife deserves a new ride she's been patient. My reserve is about $1,700 below market value, since I'm not a dealer I'm not trying to squeeze every cent out of this car for a profit, all I'm looking for is a fair price so I can put it down on another car for her. If you have any question please feel free to contact me directly on my cell at 801-390-3030. If you're interested text me and I'll send a video of the engine running and one of a test drive.

$500 deposit due 24hours after auction ends and full payment made no later than 7 days after that. Thanks for viewing and Happy Bidding!!!

On Jul-24-14 at 21:30:27 PDT, seller added the following information:

Updated 7/24- Reserve reduced!!!  My wife conveniently came home with her new car today and so this Suburban has got to go.  I'm not holding this back it's going to the highest bidder... Thank you for looking!

Fri, Nov 22 2019

In this week's Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder and Associate Editor Zac Palmer. This week, the main topic of discussion is the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show. Of course, they've gotta talk about the Ford Mustang Mach-E — and its questionable naming scheme. They also run down some other L.A. show highlights including the Toyota RAV4 Prime, Kia Seltos, Lexus LC 500 Convertible and Audi RS Q8. Then they talk about the cars they've been driving: the 2020 Chevy Silverado with the Duramax diesel engine and the 2020 Subaru Legacy Touring XT. Nissan Leaf sells 1,553 in April, Volt climbs to 905

Fri, May 1 2015

After three months in the 500 and 600 range, sales of the Chevy Volt climbed to 905 in April. That's up for the year so far – likely due to increasing discounts – but still down 41.5 percent from April 2014. As we've been saying every time the Volt turns in less-than-exciting monthly sales numbers, we suspect a large number of potential Volt buyers are waiting for the next-gen model to arrive in the second half of 2015. While the price for that car has not yet been announced, the updated tech specs show that it will probably be worth the wait for drivers who want the latest and greatest. Over on the Nissan Leaf side of things, April sales were 1,553 units this year. That's the second-best month of the year but down from the 2,088 units sold last April. After the Leaf finally climbed to the top of the cumulative best sellers list for plug-in vehicles last month, the difference between these two leaders is now 1,824 in favor of the Leaf. Nissan says that sales were influenced by the launch of its No Charge To Charge promotion in Indianapolis and Fresno, CA. This deal gives new Leaf buyers and lessees two years of no-cost quick charging in these markets. No Charge To Charge is not available in 15 US markets for (San Francisco, Sacramento, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Nashville, Phoenix, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Houston, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Chicago and Atlanta) and will expand to 10 more by the middle of this year. As we do every month, our full wrap-up of US green car sales is coming soon. For now, enjoy discussing these sales figures in the Comments below.
