2007 Chevrolet Silverado K-3500 Regular Cab Single Rear Wheel Utility Bed Pickup on 2040-cars

Hello. You are checking out a good, heavy duty work truck. It is equipped with a few good additions to make you some money. It is a well taken care of, 2007 Silverado HD-3500 4x4 1 ton single rear wheel, regular cab utility bed pickup truck. It has 139,000 miles on it and I drive it everyday. It is a (2) owner. It has an excellent Stahl utility bed on it with good clean compartments all around. The doors all operate as they should. It has a fully operational Stahl 2,000 pound capacity crane on board. The Crane will turn 360 degrees on it's gear driven base and motor. It will extend out 5 feet as well. The crane winch is also in excellent condition. Both of these are operated by a remote control hand held control which is pictured. This crane will pin into place in three positions and it will fold down and out of the way when not in use. I have it at it's middle work position for these pictures. The truck also features a fully operational Meyers snow plow which is controlled with a hand held pad inside the truck. It is a power angle plow and the plow is in good condition. It could use some paint in a couple of places as pictured. The truck will come with all of it's operational manuals to include the truck, itself, as well as the crane and the snow plow. The truck drives just as good as new with no complaints. It runs well out on the highway and cruising at interstate speeds are effortless. It starts and runs well. It shifts good and stops great. The body on the truck is dent free. The utility bed, itself, has some dings, but is solid. The paint finish is nice as well. The truck is comfortable to drive and I hardly ever get weary in it on long trips. I just recently drove it over 950 miles in a day and 1/2 and it went just great. I just, this week, had (4) new Wild Country XTR semi-lug, 10 ply radial tires installed on it. They boast 55,000 miles of use. They sing slightly, just a bit, but this is a work truck and it will be going off road and in snow, I would assume, so I wanted the best tires that I could locate for it for that purpose. It is important to note that this truck was never, and has never, been used for commercial snow plowing. It was owned by a large company and they used it only for themselves, plowing out entrances to their work stations on a limited basis and it never spread salt of any kind. It was lightly used for this purpose and it shows. Everything on this truck works. All of it's security lights, take down lighting, side lighting and strobe work very well. This truck came from the factory with the snow plow prep package. The 4x4 system works like new. All in all, I think that this truck should be just the ticket, as equipped, for just about any company that needs a heavy duty 4x4 for not a whole lot of cash outlay. The reserve is very reasonable, I feel. I know that I may have missed something along the line, but I have attempted to show you just what you will be getting. If you have a specific question or concern, by all means, just let me know and you will be answered quickly, honestly and most importantly, with the utmost respect. I treat folk's very well......just like they should be. If you need this truck, here it is. It is further important for you to note that while it is fairly nice, and in good, overall condition, it is and has been a work truck and it is not new by any means. Please consider this in your bids. There is no pressure here. If you come to get it and it doesn't appear that I have described it correctly, all you will have to do is walk away with my apology. Take care, thank you for looking and God bless all :)
On Jul-29-14 at 09:34:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi again. It slipped my mind, but I forgot to mention that I am retired. If you need the truck shipped, I will be here all the time to assist you in any way that you might need to help in getting it loaded or transported. Further, I do not mind driving it to you within reason, say 1,000 miles or so, for the cost of fuel and a rental car home. All options to see that you are satisfied with getting the truck to you are on the table for consideration. Thank you. On Jul-31-14 at 16:00:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Thank you to all of the interested bidders and the folk's who have written or called. I appreciate all of your questions and comments concerning this truck. Due to a lot of questions about the reserve price and if it could be purchased before the auctions end, I have decided to offer it as a quick purchase if the interest is there, in an effort to fair and honest to all who have inquired about it. Good luck and thank all you again. |

Chevy Spark EV could be coming to Midwest later this year
Tue, Jun 10 2014Ohio is not known as a hotbed of EV sales – if anything, the state is a bit anti-EV, thanks to a legislative fight against Tesla's direct sales model – but it might be on Chevrolet's short list to expand the market for the Spark EV in the near future. The latest official GM press release on the battery-powered Spark still says the car is "available exclusively in California and Oregon," but Hybrid Cars found four Ohio dealerships that list a Spark EV on their websites, with hints the the car will be coming to the Midwest state by the end of the summer. See, for example, here, here, here and here. But that's probably not going to happen, according to Randy Fox, GM communication's manager for passenger cars. Fox told AutoblogGreen that, "At this point in time, we don't have any official plans to expand the Spark EV beyond California and Oregon." The reason is that California and Oregon have the infrastructure to support EVs, Fox said, and GM wants to be able to support its EV customers. "We are continuing to look at other options," he said. "The selling point for electric cars today is not advertising, it's eyeballs, it's peer exposure" – John O'Dell John O'Dell, a senior editor at Edmunds.com, told AutoblogGreen that, "It makes sense for [GM] to expand sales and it makes sense to do it in a quiet manner, to get these vehicles on the road. The selling point for electric cars today is not advertising, it's eyeballs, it's peer exposure. If someone in my neighborhood has one and he likes it, then maybe I can trust him. So it's important to get these vehicles on the road." Chevy sold 182 Spark EVs last month, a significant increase over the 98 sold in April. That's still small potatoes compared to the 3,000+ Nissan Leaf EVs sold last month, but making the electric Spark available in Ohio, say, or GM's home state of Michigan could boost those numbers. AutoblogGreen called a few dealerships in Michigan to see what they had heard. One salesman said he didn't think GM had started production yet but the inventory manager for another dealership said the Spark EV is scheduled to arrive in the Midwest in "roughly the fourth quarter." What would GM's incentive be to offer the car in markets outside of California where it can gain ZEV credits with each sale?
GM’s move to Woodward is the right one — for the company and for Detroit
Wed, May 1 2024Back in 2018, Chevy invited me to attend the Detroit Auto Show on the company dime to get an early preview of the then-newly redesigned Silverado. The trip involved a stay at the Renaissance Center — just a quick People Mover ride from the show. IÂ’d been visiting Detroit in January for nearly a decade, and not once had I set foot inside General MotorsÂ’ glass-sided headquarters. I was intrigued, to say the least. Thinking back on my time in the buildings that GM will leave behind when it departs for the new Hudson's site on Woodward Avenue, two things struck me. For one, its hotel rooms are cold in January. Sure, itÂ’s glass towers designed in the 1960s and '70s; I calibrated my expectations accordingly. But when I could only barely see out of the place for all the ice forming on the inside of the glass, it drove home just how flawed this iconic structure is. My second and more pertinent observation was that the RenCen doesnÂ’t really feel like itÂ’s in a city at all, much less one as populous as Detroit. The complex is effectively severed from its surroundings by swirling ribbons of both river and asphalt. To the west sits the Windsor tunnel entrance; to the east, parking lots for nearly as far as the eye can see. To its north is the massive Jefferson Avenue and to its south, the Detroit River. You get the sense that if Henry Ford II and his team of investors had gotten their way, the whole thing would have been built offshore with the swirling channel doubling as a moat. This isnÂ’t a building the draws the city in; itÂ’s one designed to keep it out. Frost on the inside of the RenCen hotel glass. Contrasted with the new Hudson's project GM intends to move into, a mixed-use anchor with residential, office, retail and entertainment offerings smack-dab in Detroit's most vibrant district, the RenCen is a symbol of an era when each office in DetroitÂ’s downtown was an island in a rising sea of dilapidation. Back then, those who fortified against the rapid erosion of DetroitÂ’s urban bedrock stood the best chance of surviving. This was the era that brought us ugly skyways and eventually the People Mover — anything to help suburban commuters keep their metaphorical feet dry. The RenCen offered — and still offers — virtually any necessity and plenty of nice-to-haves, all accessible without ever venturing outside, especially in the winter, but those enticements are geared to those who trek in from suburbia to toil in its hallways.
Recharge Wrap-up: BYD electric buses at Special Olympics, hybrids perform better than rated
Mon, Aug 3 2015A new study finds that real-world fuel economy of hybrids could be significantly higher than EPA ratings. Researchers at the University of Vermont, with the help of their own "total on-board tailpipe emissions measurement system," found the fuel savings of Toyota Camry Hybrid over a standard Camry to exceed its sticker values by 18 percent on the highway and 33 percent in the city. The results of this study suggest that the projections of the fuel and emissions benefits of hybrids could be adjusted to reflect more these more positive real world values. The study's authors, Britt A. Holmen and Karen M. Sentoff, say more research is warranted based on these findings, and that "similar studies can be used to develop robust models of all types of HEV platforms under actual driving conditions and improve quantitative estimates of the future fleet contributions to the US CO2 emissions inventory and petroleum consumption." BYD electric buses provided transportation at the Special Olympics 2015 World Games in Long Beach, CA. Shuttling 6,500 athletes required the help of multiple charter companies, including local buses from the Chinese automaker. "BYD stepped up majorly as one of our key supporters and their tremendous efforts made our athletes feel welcomed," says Long Beach Community Foundation President and CEO, and 2015 Host Town Transportation Coordinator Marcelle Epley. "We depended on them, and they came through 100 percent." Both Los Angeles and Long Beach have recently decided to purchase electric buses from BYD. Read more in the press release below.
