"Let It Snow"

Tonight I am listing a Vey nice and well cared for 1995 Chevy 3500 4WD Plow/Salt Spreader Dual rear wheel Pickup Truck. This truck is in outstanding condition with only 94,307 original miles on it. I purchased this truck from a local business that only used it to plow their own parking lot. I had intended to push for my local municipality and added the brand new spreader you see in the bed of this truck. I am no longer able to man the truck properly so I am passing it on to someone that can work it to its full money making potential This spreader has only ever had one load of salt run through it. That's right one load. It is an Air Flow spreader with power flow drive serial# PSV025044. I paid approx $4,300 just for the spreader alone last fall. It is also equipped with a Meyer Plow with a full eight foot blade. The alternator on the truck has been upgraded as well to a 140 amp version for extra power. It is also equipped the Meyer Touch Pad plow control. Heat and AC work in the truck. Truck is powered by the very reliable 350 cubic inch chevy gas motor which should burn quite a bit less fuel than the big blocks normally found in this model truck. It also has the convenience of an automatic transmission. This truck is amazingly clean for a 1995. It does have a bit of rust on the bottom of each door but nothing significant. Truck is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end auction early. I also welcome and encourage on site inspection of the vehicle. It is an 18 year old truck so it is being sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied. I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to email me via ebay or I may be reached on my cell at (301) 399-0807 (Willy)

Trophy truck chases Sasquatch driving a side-by-side for Recoil 3

Fri, Nov 13 2015

Last year's Recoil 2 video of BJ Baldwin blasting through the outskirts of Ensenada, Mexico, in his trophy truck was already a fantastic improvement over the original clip. For the third installment in the series, he and his amazing camera team somehow turn up the excitement even higher. Rather than going back to the desert, Baldwin heads into the woods of the Pacific Northwest for some Sasquatch hunting in Recoil 3. Not only is the mythical beast quite real in this video, but it's apparently quite good at piloting a side-by-side too. The result is a high-speed chase through the forest that eventually moves to the urban jungle. Like in the previous Recoil clips, Baldwin showcases his amazing control over the 800-horsepower truck, and the suspension soaks up serious punishment from some huge jumps. The cinematography makes the stunts look even more exhilarating by always showing the perfect angle of the action. GM reintroduces Tripower name in the worst way possible

Wed, Aug 1 2018

The story of General Motors' use of the Tripower moniker begins way back in 1957, when Semon E. "Bunkie" Knudsen, then General Manager of GM's Pontiac division, directed his engineers to inject more performance into his brand's line of V8-powered automobiles. Fuel injection was an option, but hot rodders flocked instead to Tri-Power (marketed way back when with a hyphen), which grafted a trio of two-barrel Rochester carburetors onto a single intake manifold. A legend was born. And that legend was born of performance. At idle and when full power wasn't required, Pontiac's Tri-Power system used just the middle carburetor, which helped make the setup easier to tune. Depending on the year and model, either a vacuum system or a mechanical linkage opened up the two outer carbs, thereby switching from two barrels to six, and allowing the engine to take in more fuel and air. And it was an easy marketing win – six barrels is better than four barrels, right? Because performance! So, when news filtered in that GM has resurrected the Tripower name, those of us who grew up attending classic car shows and wrenching on old Pontiacs did a double-take. And then we all collectively sighed. Turns out that today's Tripower refers to a trio of fuel-saving measures that include cylinder deactivation, active thermal management, and intake valve lift control, according to Automotive News. And, at least for now, it applies to GM's line of fullsize trucks powered by a 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. We're all for saving fuel whenever possible. And we have zero say in how any automaker chooses to market its products and technologies. But, we'll offer our two cents anyway: Relaunching a storied name from the past is fine. Relaunching a storied name from the past while completely overlooking the reasons the name got famous in the first place is only going to irritate the people who remember the name in the first place. Couldn't they just call this new technology package something else?
