Up for sale is a 2002 Chevrolet 2002 Silverado 2500 HD Duramax Diesel 4x4 Long bed Extended Cab.
Exterior:
There are no major dents and body flaws in this truck whatsoever. It is very clean and only is showing signs of age on the top of front passenger fender flare where the paint is slightly oxidized due to the sun. 2 of 4 stockk alloy wheels have minor oxidation, but still look very presentable. The tires have 60-70 percent tread and are E rated.
The windshield has an approximate 4-6 inch crack in the upper right corner (figures you park it and something will hit it). It has been equipped with spray in bedliner, rubber bed mat, and 7 way electrical connector inside of bed. It also has the happy jack truck campe tie down system (I have the attachments for the rear bumper, they were never installed).
It has a Carryboy Truck Camper that is built for this model truck and is painted to match from there factory. It is in excellent shape and it only showing signs of age due to the clear coat peeling on top because of the sun. I have 2 sets of keys and the locks work. All windows are in perfect condition. A very nice camper shell (If you don't need it, its worth $500 so you can sell it)
Interior: This is the LS model, however the original owner ordered it with dual power seats. The seats are in excellent condition. The only flaw in the interior is the leather padding on the center flip down console is wearing (cracking) and the plastic handle to push and open the console is missing. The console function 100 percent correctly, you just have to push on the mechanism with your hand instead of the handle (You can find this console on ebay for $200 bucks if it really bugs you, honestly I thought it was going to drive me nuts, but I don't even notice it anymore). Steering wheel is in very condition, not all chewed up and peeling. Minus the console, the interior is a 10 out of a 10...very well cared for.
Mechanical:
The previous owner had the injectors replaced at 170,000 miles. I do not have the reciept for this work, however if you do your research LB7 injectors do not last past 150,000 to the very rare end of 180,000 miles before needing to be replaced. I have no doubt they were replaced (I would have never bought this truck)! I just replaced the following:
Steering box ($700)
Intake Heater Relay Circuit ($300)
Fresh Oil Change
Truck runs fantastic. All stock, never been chipped, no lift...clean original truck.
I am only selling this truck because I bought a crew cab for the family
Serious only...please call 925-323-5747 if you have any questions.

CES 2022 was huge for EVs | Autoblog Podcast #711
Fri, Jan 7 2022In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder. CES took place this week, and there were some nice electric surprises from automakers, especially General Motors. John has been driving the Ram 1500 Power Wagon, as well as what seems to be its polar opposite, the electric Mini Cooper SE. Greg talks about the differences between the Acura TLX A-Spec long-termer (which is back in the shop) and the Type S loaner that's filling in for it. John's also got some interesting thoughts on leather interiors. Finally, the editors reach into the mailbag and help a repeat customer decide on a suitable replacement for a 2008 Lexus GX 470 in this week's Spend My Money segment. Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com. 2017 Chevrolet Trax brings its fresher face to Chicago
Thu, Feb 11 2016The 2017 Chevrolet Trax's facelift does wonders for the compact crossover's looks. There's nothing overly offensive about the model's current design, but it's rather drab, especially at the front. As you can see from these live photos from the Chicago Auto Show, the revised Trax simply looks more modern than the current model. It now wears narrower wraparound headlights that integrate nicely with the upper level of the grille. The lower portion of the front end gets a more angular shape, and there are big crevices for the foglights. The rear also has small revisions, including new taillights and tiny changes to the bumper. With this refresh, Chevy has brought its little CUV's looks closer in style to the brand's stalwart sedans, the Cruze, Malibu and Impala. Inside, the Trax now features analog instruments for the speedometer and tachometer, but there's still a big screen on the right side to display vehicle information. The CUV also gets Chevy's seven-inch MyLink infotainment system that buyers can option with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and 4G LTE support. Active safety tech like side blind zone alert, rear cross traffic alert, forward collision alert, and lane departure warning are available on the 2017 model, too. While the 2017 Trax looks a lot better, it's the same vehicle mechanically. It won't arrive at dealers until this fall, but you can check one out now in our gallery above. GM Ultium tech can scavenge heat from everywhere, even you
Mon, Apr 25 2022GM likes to give us tidbits about its Ultium platform from time to time, and today it’s telling us about the platformÂ’s ability to capture waste heat from the propulsion system. In addition to capturing from the propulsion system, it can also capture humidity from both inside and outside the vehicle and even from passengersÂ’ body heat. Yes, you, your family and/or your friends are a usable heat source as far as GM EVs are concerned. It then deploys the heat in an advantageous way. If at this point, youÂ’re screaming, "Heat pump!" youÂ’d be right. WeÂ’re talking about an elaborate heat pump system that GM is using for its Ultium-based vehicles. Every Ultium-based GM vehicle gets this system that is covered by 11 patents and four publications. The waste heat it collects is used in a number of ways, but its primary use is to heat the cabin quickly and efficiently. GM claims it can heat the cabin of its Ultium-based vehicles quicker than vehicles with traditional internal combustion engines. Plus, when put to use, GM claims that using the heat pump provides its EVs with up to 10% more range than theyÂ’d have without. Beyond heating the cabin, the heat pump is capable of putting waste heat to use by preheating the battery prior to charging so that you can charge quicker. The system can even cool the propulsion system in preparation for Watts to Freedom (WTF) launch control starts. GM says this was vital in helping the Hummer EV achieve its bonkers 0-60 mph time of about 3 seconds. “Having a ground-up EV architecture gives us the freedom to build in standard features like UltiumÂ’s energy recovery capabilities,” said Doug Parks, GM executive VP of global product development, purchasing and supply chain. “This helps us squeeze more efficiency, performance and overall customer benefit out of our EVs.” GM says itÂ’s been developing heat pump technology since the EV1 and its heat pump. This is the modern evolution of that technology, and GM says itÂ’s going to be implemented in every Ultium-based vehicle as a standard feature.
