Selling my grandfathers 1987 chevy silverado R/V20 Custom Deluxe / Scottsdale / Silverado    3/4 ton. 350 hp 5.7 L. showing 66,500mi on dash, but is 166,500 actual. Vehicle runs great! Just serviced,
Brand new fuel pumps (both tanks) and wiring and fuel filter
Brand new oil pan gasket
Brand new tranny pan gasket
Brand new Alternator
Brand new Radiator
Brand new water pump
New tires...98% tread left (heavy duty tires)

Everything is original!

Nothing wrong with truck mechanically except a slow oil leak...I have been told its a pretty easy fix. Does not affect anything on truck whatsoever. Other cosmetic issues, but nothing of any major work..just like door handles need replaced (common on this truck) Couple of speakers need replaced. (radio works good)
My grandfather bought it back in 92 or so and used it for a few cross country trips with his 5th wheel...and that was decomissioned back in 2002 or so.
Truck has such a smooth ride..and makes you feel good when cruising it. It will go just about anywhere you want it to, and I personally know it will last you many years of solid use!

Vehicle just passed emissions in Arizona for another years tags on it.

Please call 619 739 0269 for questions.

The accident shown on CARFAX was due to a city bus pulling out from its pick-up area, into the lane, and hit the right front fender only.  There was no other damage to the vehicle other than the fender damaged.  It was replaced.  Nothing else needed repaired or replaced from the incident and it was fully covered by the city (their fault.)

On Aug-31-13 at 02:49:42 PDT, seller added the following information:

The A/C also does not work on the truck.  I am unsure of what needs to be repaired, but I will assume that 90 percent of most A/C problems are caused by a faulty A/C compressor...

On Sep-03-13 at 17:51:04 PDT, seller added the following information:

Just lowered the reserve quite a bit...bring the bids!

Take a close look at the guts of the Chevy Volt battery, powertrain

Sat, Aug 9 2014

Just how intimate would you like to get with the powertrain in a Chevy Volt? If you're anything like YouTube user d55guy, then spending a half hour filming yourself taking apart the battery pack, motor, inverter and more for a look inside sounds like your idea of fun. After all, this way you get to see the cooling system, the heavy safety kill switch and count up the individual cells in the battery modules. Fun! Turns out, we also enjoy languidly paced Volt dissection video goodness, and we think you might want to see it as well. So, we've embedded two videos below and if you don't have a better understanding of how the Volt is put together after watching them, well, at least you can't say we never tried to show you anything. Given that what's really happening here is the organized 'destruction' of an expensive and potentially dangerous object, let's talk safety. There's a serious disclaimer at the beginning of the videos and on the YouTube description page, but we feel the need to repeat the gist of it here: do not try this at home. The creator of the video says he is a trained engineer and has been doing things like this "for the better part of a decade," so he apparently knows what he's doing. With that in mind, watch it all below. When you're done seeing the insides of a Volt powertrain up close, if you need more filmed EV dissection/destruction, check out this video designed for first responders approaching a damaged Tesla Model S. Sunday Drive: Tracking Tokyo's top performers

Sun, Oct 29 2017

The big news of the week mostly came from Tokyo. All of Japan's biggest automakers made waves at the Motor Show, but the winner of the event has to be Mazda. The big Vision Coupe and little Kai Concept stole the show, won our hearts, and earned a ton of attention for the automaker. We can't wait to see how these two concepts impact the design, engineering, and technology of future production models. Take a look at our mega image gallery post below to see everything in high-resolution glory. Interestingly, the single biggest click-magnet of the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show was the BMW X2. We shouldn't be surprised. Crossovers of all shapes and sizes dominate the American marketplace, and the X2 is clearly the most attractive of BMW's even-numbered, coupe-influenced X models. Plus, it's headed for production, with sales starting in the spring of 2018. Moving past the Tokyo Motor Show, Autoblog readers are apparently very interested in the 2019 Chevy Camaro. Spy shots of just about every iteration of Chevy's muscle car lit up the 'net last week, leaving us very interested in seeing what's hiding behind all that camouflage. As always, tune in to Autoblog next week for a front-row seat to all the happenings worth following in the automotive industry. 2017 Tokyo Motor Show | Mega Gallery Mazda Vision Coupe | Tokyo Motor Show's big, sensuous 4-door Mazda Kai concept hints at a more muscular, refined Mazda3 2018 BMW X2 crossover revealed, adorned in gold and silver 2019 Chevrolet Camaro: 1LT, SS, ZL1 all spied with updated styling

GM learning from current Chevy Volt owners as it works on next-gen model

Tue, Sep 16 2014

Details of the second-generation Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in hybrid are coming in at a trickle, and the latest is that the 2016 model-year Volt will be improved in all meaningful areas, including performance and all-electric range, says General Motors powertrain director Larry Nitz. 60 percent of Volt customers only charge using a standard 110 outlet. Nitz was speaking to Autoline After Hours about the current and future Volt. He said that GM has been tracking Volt driving habits and found that about two-thirds of the Volts' collective miles are driven in electric mode, and that 81 percent of all Volt trips were done in pure EV mode. Additionally, Volt drivers plug the car in 10 times each week, on average. Nitz also said 82 percent of the Volt's commuting miles are coming from the plug instead of the gas tank. Oh, and 60 percent of Volt customers only charge using a standard 110 outlet. Last month, GM released a teaser shot of the 2016 Volt (above) and said the car would make its worldwide debut at the 2015 North American International Auto Show next January. Earlier this year, the Volt was reported to be getting a new chassis for the upcoming version. The Volt could use a bit of new life. Through August, Volt sales were down 12 percent from a year earlier to 13,146 units, and sales plunged 25 percent alone. That compares unfavorably to the Nissan Leaf battery-electric vehicle, whose 2014 sales have jumped 34 percent to almost 19,000 units. You can see Nitz dish the goods in the video below (Volt comments start at around minute 15). You will also notice AutoblogGreen contributor Gary Witzenburg talk about his history with the EV1 and share his take on the Volt. This content is hosted by a third party.
