This is vehicle that I purchased about five years ago at 44,000 miles, and with that came a hefty GM warranty, which was further extended by me at the time of purchase. I have many extras on this vehicle that are more related to function than form! SSR trucks, are not really geared to be driven a great deal as they are, most people have these cars in the garage, seldom driving it, I drove mine, shortly after purchase I had an issue with my engine, having had the GM warranty the GM dealer changed my engine with brand new one, how ever I was not satisfied with the newly installed engine, as it did not sound right to my ears, after many a battle I was able to get a new replacement, which has been perfect, and has around 28,000 miles on it. this car has never been in an accident, the carfax is clean, all the service records are on the carfax, including the engine replacement, I have a dealer invoice for each service, I have changed many components on this vehicle before my warranty expired! don't be fooled by the miles, the engine has only 28,000 miles, it looks and runs almost as good as new, the following extras are on this car, spare tire kit, with a GM winch, brand new, size 17 tire and rim, the battery is moved behind the right rear wheel, housed in a Chrome battery box, SSRs do not come with spare tire, this job would cost you $1500.00, Magna flow aluminum muffler, with 5" tips, customed around the spare tire, replaced factory front suspension brace, and rear suspension brace, so when you have the top down your windshield would not shake. brand new windshield, pigment free, a joy to drive at night, an extra cooling fan that goes out side of the radiator , made by mike at simple engineering, also replaced the main factory cooling fan, with a more efficient and powerful one, also a fuel unit made by company called "fitch" fitch catalyst, which is a fuel stabilizer unit, maintains your fuel as if it was refined today, pulstar spark plugs, in January I did a $2700 dollar service, yes I do have the bill, it included the slave cylinder, brand new clutch (LS7 clutch that goes into the Corvett Z06, water pump and belt. rear main seal, and of course all the expensive fluids, the rear tires are brand new, front are fine. if you want a real nice SSR this is the one! no other car turns more heads than the SSR. GM recalling 1.4 million older vehicles for oil leak fire risk

General Motors is recalling 1,411,332 older vehicles with its 3.8-liter V6 yet again due to a fire risk. Specifically, there are 1,283,340 of them in the US, and the affected models are the: 1997-2004 Pontiac Grand Prix 2000-2004 Chevrolet Impala 1998-1999 Chevrolet Lumina 1998-2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo 1998-1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue 1997- 2004 Buick Regal The fault with these vehicles is that oil can drip onto the hot exhaust manifold during hard braking, which can potentially cause of fire. In the last six years, there have 19 reported minor injuries from this problem but no crashes or fatalities, according to the company. Spokesperson Alan Adler also told Autoblog: "GM has reports of 1,345 fires in vehicles that were repaired under two previous recalls for this issue." At this time, GM is still developing a remedy for the problem. According to Adler, the company advised owners to park these vehicles outside for the previous recalls. "The cars can be safely driven. In cases where a customer reported an engine fire while driving, smoke was reported, which would be an indication of a malfunction," he said. This is GM's fourth recall for this problem since 2008, according to The Detroit News. At one point it was believed that aging valve cover gaskets allowed the oil to leak out and drip onto the manifold. A campaign in 2009 covered nearly 1.5 million of these models through the 2003 model year for the same issue. At the time, dealers installed new spark plug wire retainers as a fix. GMC's new uber-expensive 2022 Sierra Denali Ultimate is the latest luxury truck to nudge toward six-figure territory. With demand for upmarket half-tons surging, GMC's otherwise-solid pickup found itself in desperate need of an interior remodel. For 2022, we're getting just that, and it appears ready to take the fight to the segment's best, including the 2022 Ram 1500 Limited and 2022 Ford F-150 Limited. Here's the new Denali Ultimate interior in all of its full-grain, open-pore glory. 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate vs. 2021 GMC DenaliÂ Not only did the material quality and styling both improve greatly, but the new truck also gets a completely different shifter setup (truck buyers don't like column shifters anymore, apparently). It would actually be difficult to overstate the quality of the upgrade here; the photos really speak for themselves. It's also worth noting that in addition to looking significantly more upscale than the model it's succeeding, the new Denali interior also differs a bit more from its Chevy counterpart than its predecessor did. Here's the new Silverado High Country for reference: While some elements do carry over, the entire dash design is different, down to the positioning of the heating and cooling vents. While the main HVAC controls are essentially carried over, note that they're pretty much the only ones. Even the horizontal bar of switches running along the center stack is positioned differently between the two. Yep. This is a pretty big upgrade over the 2021 cabin, and clearly the range-topper in GM's truck hierarchy. But what of the competition? 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate vs.Â 2022 Ram Limited Longhorn Southfork This one's tough. We're going to have to spend time in them back to back, but the Ram Limited, with its various anniversary editions and other special permutations, is certainly the interior to beat. To our eyes, the Sierra's more horizontal layout is a bit more modern and perhaps luxurious-looking than the more upright cabin treatment of the Ram, but it's tough to say for certain from photos. Both the Denali Ultimate and Ram Limited carry their upscale feel into their back benches too, which is something we can't say quite as confidently about our next contestant.Â 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate vs.Â 2021 Ford F-150 Limited The Ford F-150 Limited holds its own, but it's probably the least photogenic of the models we've looked at here, at least apart from the outgoing Denali.
