THIS SSR IS A VERY TIGHT SMOOTH DRIVING TRUCK THAT I PURCHASED LAST YEAR. IT HAD HAIL DAMAGE WHEN I BOUGHT AND STILL HAS IT. THE PICS I TOOK YESTERDAY AND YOU CAN SEE IT IS STILL A GOOD LOOKING VEHICLE. LOOK AT A CAR FAX AND YOU WILL SEE THAT THIS SSR WAS WELL MAINTAINED AND SERVICED.IT ALSO HAS NEVER BEEN TURNED IN FOR THE HAIL DAMAGE SO IT DOES NOT SHOW ON CAR FAX. I TRIED TO TAKE A PICS OF HAIL DAMAGE TO BED COVER BUT DID NOT SHOW WELL. THIS TRUCK HAS MADE SEVERAL TRIPS TO THE SOUTH TO VISIT MY SONS AND I JUST RETURNED LAST WEEK. THE MOTOR RUNS NICE, TRANS SHIFTS GOOD AND TIGHT. EVERY THING ON THIS TRUCK IS AS SHOULD BE. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED. INTERIOR IS VERY GOOG NO RIPS TEARS OR CRACKS IN DASH. 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra show all their sides in Detroit
Tue, 15 Jan 2013There could hardly be more riding on the next-generation General Motors full-size pickup trucks, so the automaker has wisely made sure to have a selection of different models on hand at the Detroit Auto Show to show off. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra were both officially introduced last month at a stand-alone reveal, and now they'll be on display for the public to see in various body configurations and trim levels.
The Silverado LTZ Crew Cab and Sierra SLE Extended Cab are aimed at providing more of a high-end pickup experience, while the Silverado LT Z71 Extended Cab and Sierra SLT Z71 Crew Cab should have off-road fans scouting out their favorite trails. The crew cab trucks won't go into production until sometime during the second quarter of this year - with other bodystyles coming later in the year - but we have plenty of live images from Detroit for you to enjoy.
GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics
Mon, 20 Aug 2012After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.

Pushing Back: GM expanding Chevrolet into Korea, Daewoo out

General Motors decided several years ago to begin heavily promoting Chevrolet as its global mainstream brand even in markets where its existing brands like Opel and Daewoo were a dominant force. Today, at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea, GM Daewoo president Mike Arcamone announced that the Camaro would lead the way in GM's efforts to market Chevrolet in South Korea.
For now at least Chevrolet and Daewoo-branded vehicles will coexist in the Korean market. However, while we were in China last week GM officials told us that the Daewoo brand, which has been somewhat tainted by past quality issues, would eventually be phased out in favor of Chevrolet. When the new Aveo launches next year it will likely be badged as a Chevrolet even though GM Daewoo is in charge of engineering the car.
