We do not charge any documentation fees. What you bid is what you pay, so bid to win! Airport or Train Station pickup fees may apply. Due to rising fuel costs, wear and tear on my personal vehicle and the time involved I am forced to now charge $50 for airport pickups or $100 for train/bus station. See Below for more details. Please remember that your bid is a contract to purchase, you are not bidding for the opportunity to come see the vehicle and kick the tires. If you are local and would like to see the vehicle prior to bidding, please contact me before placing a bid. Bid to own. Vehicle must be paid for within 7 days of auction end and must be picked up within 14 days of auction end. Due to the agreement with our landlord vehicles left over a 14 day period may be subject to a storage charge of $35 per day starting on the 15th day. If this storage charge will apply to you, you will be given notice prior to storage charges beginning to accrue. I’m usually pretty lenient with this rule, however there are certain instances when it must be must be enforced (i.e. vehicle still here 2 months after you won). I understand sometimes shipping companies give people the runaround and I’m not looking to hurt anyone. If you are actively working to get your vehicle shipped, you will most likely not be charged. All buyers MUST make a non-refundable deposit of $500 within 24 hours of auction end via Paypal. This is now a requirement on all my vehicle auctions due to the increased amount of NON-PAYING bidders. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this requirement due to prior bad experiences. If we do not have a deposit or contact from the buyer within 24 hours, we reserve the right to sell the vehicle to a back up buyer. Remaining payment must be cash (in person), wire transfer or cashier’s check. We do not accept Paypal for payment in full due to the high fees. In addition, eBay will only allow us to accept Paypal for the deposit and requires we select another method of payment for the balance. Vehicle is sold AS-IS WHERE-IS with no warranties expressed or implied. Local bidders are encouraged to make an appointment to view the vehicle. Vehicles may be seen by appointment only! This vehicle is being advertised heavily for local sale. Auction may end at anytime due to vehicle being sold locally, or if an interested party wants to buy it at the locally advertised price. Bid early and often!! eBay Seller DOWLSET is acting as a listing agent in selling this vehicle on consignment for the owner, a FL Dealer. All information listed here is either supplied by the owner, obtained from maintenance records left in the vehicle if any and/or is based on visual (walk-around) observation of the item and a test drive. I am not a mechanic nor do I claim to be, if you ask a mechanical question about this item, and there are no maintenance records available, your question will be answered to the best of my ability. We announce any service lights that may be on at the time of inspection for the buyer's information and research only. We do not troubleshoot or offer any guarantees. They are not intended to be a complete diagnosis or any guarantee as to any mechanical condition or repairs needed. Factory installed options are listed in the description. We make every effort to test them and make sure they are working but there are no guarantees on any options. Occasionally we may miss a window that doesn’t go up or down or an AC that needs a charge. I don’t always test A/C when it’s ten degrees here or test heat when its ninety out. If we know an option is not functioning properly we will list it in the item description, this disclaimer is only to cover me in the rare instance I miss something. These are used wholesale vehicles and most are obtained from new car dealers as trade-ins, please expect the normal wear and tear for a used car, brakes, front end, tires etc. They are sold as used at low prices and are not certified pre-owned. We do not put them through any mechanical inspection. Certified pre-owned car equals certified pre-owned price. We offer our vehicles at no reserve, you as the buyer pick the price. Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why
Sun, 27 Jan 2013Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.
If you have about five minutes and you can't get enough information about the new 'Vette, then check out the videos posted below.
Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee teases return with a Countach
Fri, May 29 2015Unless you have an intense aversion to Jerry Seinfeld, it's hard not to find something to like about his show Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. After all, the series combines funny people telling often hilarious stories while riding in ridiculously cool vehicles. The trailer for the sixth season is now online, and based on this tease, this definitely looks worth watching no matter what part of the videos interest you. Of course, it's the automotive portion that really grabs us, and Seinfeld has quite a fleet to showcase for season six. The trailer shows off a Lamborghini Countach, a '57 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible, a classic Volkswagen Beetle in the green and white German Polizei livery, a Morgan, an Aston Martin DB5, and a Ferrari 308. On the more humorous side of things, the guest list at least includes Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jim Carrey, Steve Harvey, Stephen Colbert, Bill Maher and upcoming host of The Daily Show Trevor Noah. Season six of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee premieres on Crackle on Wednesday, June 3, at 11:30 PM ET.
GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect
Tue, 17 Aug 20102010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.
