2003 Chevrolet s-10 4x4. This was a fleet owned truck that has every service record since day one, even has window sticker. This truck has many new parts and would take a state inspection sticker no problem. The truck has 148xxx miles on it, but don't let that scare you, as this truck was extremely well maintained. It has a vinyl floor and crank windows. This has a 4.3l V6 with air conditioning and automatic transmission. The tires are in great shape with more than half tread. It was recently oil undercoated. It has had somebody work done including a left rear extended cab patch panel and some minor patches on the right side. Tool box would go with the truck. Please email with any questions or offers. It will only take 42 seconds of your life so don't expect an Arctic challenge, but if you in the snow regions had any doubts about how it will handle the frozen goods, this should help assuage them. The bigger and better, more powerful and faster Volt - able to run regular fuel - will get out from under its camo at the North American International Auto Show next month. PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]
Wed, 19 Jun 2013PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Question of the Day: Worst year of the Malaise Era?
Thu, Jun 23 2016The Malaise Era for cars in the United States spanned the 1973 through 1983 model years, and featured such abominations as a Corvette with just 205 horsepower (from the optional engine!) and MGBs with suspensions jacked way up to meet new headlight-height requirements. There were many low points throughout this gloomy period, of course. The horrifyingly low power and fuel-economy numbers for big V8s during the middle years of the Malaise Era make a strong case for 1974 or 1975— the years of Nixon's resignation and the Fall of Saigon, respectively— as the most Malaisey years. But then the GM-pummeling debacles of the Chevy Citation and Cadillac Cimarron could make an early-1980s year the low point. 1979, the year of the ignominious Chrysler bailout? You choose!
