Item Description

Up for auction is a 2000 Chevy S10 that was recently donated to a national charitable foundation and is being sold with NO RESERVE.

The vehicle is equipped with a 4cyl engine and automatic transmission. The odometer shows 318,381 miles. It’s fairly well equipped with most of the options. The seats are gray and appear to be in decent condition, although a good detail will make a huge difference. The exterior of the car is blue and is showing signs of wear and is faded. It has a few door dings and scratches. The tires appear to HAVE ROUGHLY 40% road life left. Please refer to the photos included in this auction for more description details.

This vehicle comes with a clear California Title and its Registration was valid through 00/00. All taxes, fees, and penalties due to the DMV, are the responsibility of the buyer.

Smog (California Buyers)

If you are a California resident intending on registering this vehicle in the State of California, AND not a Dealer, then we will provide you with either a “certificate of compliance” or a “certificate of non-compliance” along with the sale. This will allow buyers to pay the registration fees and tax then transfer the car into their name at the DMV and provides them with 90 days of temporary registration from the time the certificate of non-compliance was issued for the vehicle, thus allowing the buyer time to repair the vehicle and bring it into smog conformity. There will be a 50.00 fee added to your total amount.

o $100.00 for vehicles over $1,000 and $50.00 for every $1,000 thereafter

· Vehicles not paid for in full within three (3) days of end of auction will be subject to a penalty of $50.00 plus $20.00 PER DAY in storage fees (storage fees are not negotiable and must be paid prior to release of vehicle).

· Vehicles not paid for within one week of end of auction will result in buyer’s privileges revoked and vehicle to be relisted on ebay.

Next Chevy Silverado could get this built-in tailgate step

General Motors just received patent approval for a tailgate step in a pickup bed. And given the timing, don't be surprised if you see this on the upcoming 2019 Silverado pickup (not the mention its GMC Sierra twin), expected to arrive in late 2018. According to the patent, granted in December of last year, the whole mechanism is housed in the tailgate assemble. The magic happens when a portion of the top half of the tailgate swings down and a step folds out. There's also a handle that locks into position to help climb up into the bed. As trucks get bigger and taller over the years, it gets harder and harder to access the cargo bed. Ford's solution with the 2009 F-150 was a step that slides out from the end of the tailgate. Back then, Chevy made an ill-advised ad highlighting the feature for Ford. And while Howie Long mocked the F-150's "man step" Ford saw almost a third of its trucks with the option in the first year. The GM design seems to improve on Ford's idea as it appears to be wider and has a back to the lower step. That is, you don't have to worry about stepping through the ladder-rung design as on the F-150. Ford's tailgate step later spread to the F Super Duty, and other cargo access assists have proliferated through the truck world. On the most recent redesign, the Chevrolet Silverado took a trick from the Avalanche and added cutouts to the corners of the rear bumper that act as a foothold. Ford also offers a deployable side step, Chevrolet has running boards that scoot rearward with a kick of the boot, and Ram offers fixed wheel-to-wheel side rails. Nissan is in on the game too, with an optional folding step that tucks under the rear bumper. We don't expect Chevrolet to comment on when or if we'll see this feature in the showrooms. But given that engineers are already hard at work on the next Silverado and the timing of this patent lines right up with the new truck's development cycle, we'll be disappointed if this patent stays in the file cabinet. UPDATE: A previous version of this story indicated that Orion Assembly would be idled for seven weeks, from February 16 through April 6. This was incorrect. The factory will instead only be idled for the weeks of February 16 and April 6. The story has been edited to reflect this. General Motors has announced that the factory responsible for the Buick Verano and Chevrolet Sonic will be idled for the weeks of February 16 and April 6, with blame being placed on excess supply. The Orion Assembly plant, about 45 minutes north of GM's Renaissance Center headquarters, employs about 1,800 people, but they'll be given a pair of furloughs as inventories of the sub-compact Sonic and premium compact Verano reach 127 days and 84 days, respectively. That works out to 26,600 Chevys and 9,800 Buicks waiting for buyers. According to Automotive News, the compact Chevy sales bested the industry average in 2014, jumping up nine percent versus the the overall segment's eight-percent gain, while the Buick sedan's sales were down four percent. When asked about the shutdown, a GM spokesman told AN that it will "build to market demand," while also pointing out that the company did not comment on production plans. GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups

General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.
