1965 Chevrolet K-10 4x4 Long bed Stepside Truck
61,592 ORIGINAL MILES ON TRUCK
Rare opportunity to own a piece of tough 4wd original all American steel. This unique Chevy pick up was originally built in 1965 at the Fremont, CA Chevrolet plant and was owned by the original owner for 40 years. I am the 3rd owner. Since purchasing this vehicle, it has undergone several upgrades and modifications. This truck features all original body panels, bumpers, engine, drivetrain, axles and other parts including interior and exterior.
The body of the truck is original steel with few rust spots as seen in photos. The original paint is light blue and under one coat of black primer as seen. There are very few dents or dings. The bed and tailgate are straight with no waves and undented. This longbed is cooler than any Fleet! The original wood is present but could be replaced if you decide to. The steel trim in the bed holding the wood down is straight and in good condition. The hood and doors open and close smoothly, the body lines match up. The door locks are fully functional. Wing windows open and close. All glass is intact but the windshield has two very small chips, no cracks or bulleyes. There appears to be a scratch on the passenger side from the wiper arm with a worn out blade.
The interior is all original except for the radio which was installed without cutting the dashboard. Everything works inside the truck, this includes all gauges, radio, horn, hazard lights, switches, all interior lights, brake lights, turn signals, headlights, tail lights and vents. The original steering wheel has no cracks and the turn signals still cancel. This truck still has the original seat and upholstery. It has never been reupholstered with very few blemishes and no tears. The original 4wd operation instruction stickers are in great shape and still attached to the roof between the sun visors. There is nothing missing. The windows roll up and down down very smoothly and completely. The gun rack was installed by the original owner. Upon purchase, you will also receive the original keys.
This original 230ci straight 6 cylinder engine with 61,592 original miles runs AMAZING. It always starts instantly on the first crank every day at any time. There is no smoke, no lifter noise or any other noises. It just simply runs phenomenal. This truck starts more smoothly and quickly than my personal Honda car. The engine is mated to the original 4 speed manual transmission and transfer case. Every gear shifts amazingly smooth. The clutch and throw out bear are in very great shape. There are NO issues with the engine or drive train. This truck has been driven at all altitudes from sea level to mountain peaks, up and down trails and fire roads. My family and I have never been left stranded with this truck. It simply runs awesome. All fluids have been replaced and maintained. This truck is a daily driver and regularly driven.
After I purchased the truck, these are the things I have done to the truck:
- 3" lift professionally installed.
- Custom fabricated front and back bumpers for strength and receive new winch. Customized bumpers are based off the original bumpers and have been powder coated black.
- Installed new Smittybilt wench to front bumper.
- Installed ultra bright front HID off road lighting and rear LED back up/off road lighting to bumpers. These are controls from within the cab with switches.
- Headlight and turn signal trim have been powder coated to match bumpers.
- Original steel grill is in excellent shape and powder coated army green.
- Original GM steel 15x8" wheels have also been powder coated army green.
- 2- 5 gallon Jerry cans and lockable mounts have been powder coated army green.
- New 33x12.5R15LT Cooper SST tires (less than 2500 miles on tires with even wear)
- Functional and authentic MX-6707 US Military antenna base with matching AS-1729 Antenna whip set and stow top. Stands approximately 13' 6" tall from ground. Installed for aesthetics, does not include radio. It is a highly noticeable great conversation starter.
Lastly, take a peek at the custom monsterous 1-3/4" lug nuts. (That can still be removed with regular sized sockets)
WILL SELL TO INTERNATIONAL BUYERS. We can assist with shipping arrangements but buyer is completely responsible for shipping.
This truck includes ORIGINAL PROTECTO PLATE AND KEYS!

Trophy truck chases Sasquatch driving a side-by-side for Recoil 3
Fri, Nov 13 2015Last year's Recoil 2 video of BJ Baldwin blasting through the outskirts of Ensenada, Mexico, in his trophy truck was already a fantastic improvement over the original clip. For the third installment in the series, he and his amazing camera team somehow turn up the excitement even higher. Rather than going back to the desert, Baldwin heads into the woods of the Pacific Northwest for some Sasquatch hunting in Recoil 3. Not only is the mythical beast quite real in this video, but it's apparently quite good at piloting a side-by-side too. The result is a high-speed chase through the forest that eventually moves to the urban jungle. Like in the previous Recoil clips, Baldwin showcases his amazing control over the 800-horsepower truck, and the suspension soaks up serious punishment from some huge jumps. The cinematography makes the stunts look even more exhilarating by always showing the perfect angle of the action. How easy is it to rebuild a Chevy small block V8?
Sat, Mar 21 2015Chevrolet's famous small block V8 stands as one of the workhorse engines in American auto history, with its variants going into vehicles from hot rods to pickup trucks. But do you know that you can fully disassemble and completely restore one of these mills in just under four minutes? Well, as long as there's some assistance from time-lapse photography, that is. Hagerty created this short clip showing a dirt-covered small block turning from a frog into a prince. Thankfully, the time-lapse doesn't speed the process up too much, and it's still easy to see how all of the principal parts fit together. With all sorts of sensors and software helping to drive the modern automobile, viewing the internal combustion engine in its purely mechanical form is still fascinating. Related Video:
Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra could get independent rear suspension
Fri, Jan 3 2020The Chevrolet Silverado and the GMC Sierra could reportedly receive a variant of the four-link independent rear suspension found under the new Tahoe and Suburban. While that's not a surprise, a recent report suggests electrification, not comfort, convinced General Motors to make the change. Replacing the time-tested solid rear axle with an independent suspension will improve comfort, handling and off-road prowess, while adding weight, and likely making the trucks a little bit more expensive. It's a fair trade-off, but GM Authority learned the real reason for the swap is that at least one of the pickups will spawn an electric model, and it's more difficult to package a bulky battery pack around a solid rear axle. The independent rear suspension takes up far less space, even if it has more moving parts. General Motors will build its first regular-production electric pickup on an evolution of the Silverado's T1 platform named BT1, according to the same source. The b stands for -- you guessed it -- batteries. The firm reportedly doesn't want to make two suspensions for cost reasons, so the independent setup will come standard regardless of whether the truck runs on gasoline, diesel, or electricity. As a bonus, Chevrolet and GMC could choose to offer their T1-based trucks with Magnetic Ride Control or an air suspension, options available on the 2021 Suburban and Tahoe. The independent rear suspension will also find its way to the next-generation GMC Yukon due to be revealed January 14, and to the 2021 Cadillac Escalade scheduled to make its debut February 4. The long-rumored, born-again Hummer will get it, too, because it will arrive as an electric model built on the BT1 platform. It's worth noting none of this is official, and General Motors has remained quiet about what's next for its new suspension design, and what will be under its electric truck's sheet metal. If the GM Authority report is accurate, the Silverado (pictured) and the Sierra could ditch their solid rear axle for the 2021 model year. The change will likely be accompanied by other tweaks inside and out. Featured Gallery 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 View 16 Photos Chevrolet GMC Truck
