1957 Chevrolet Pickup in excellant shape, the truck was painted in 1998 The paint on the outside looks fantastic other than the clear coat pealing in sections, inside the cab is pealing from the primer. The entire underneath was stripped, painted and new springs and shocks. The engine compartment was painted black. It has a 350 Cid engine that was rebuilt in 1999 it has an accel coil, torker intake, carter carburetor, headers, etc. Turbo 400 transmission was rebuilt with a shift kit and star floor shifter. The rear end is solid, the truck RUNS really, really good.
The body and chassis on this truck is in excellant shape, the lower rockers had been repaired, the cab and cab floors, steps, bed and bed steps, tailgate, hood, grill, bumper are all original and in excellant shape. the entire bed is almost mint, tail gate is like new. No rear bumper but I have the original brackets and flat bar hitch. I think the rear tail lights are aftermarket? All the other lights are original. The bed wood will need a few pieces shown in picture, a piece of plywood and new bed mat was put in to preserve the floor. The original owner had put fiberglass front fenders, he was going to tilt the front end and never did anything else; I didnt even know they were fiberglass untill he pointed it out. I think they are nicer than the original steel fenders. The glass looks original, no chips or cracks. The seat was completely redone and still in great shape.
All the factory gages, dash tach all work and look great, The front lights work and rears dont, I will look at the wiring or bulbs. The wiring should be cleaned up a bit.
I have tried to describe the truck as accurately as I can. I was going to just drive the truck and work on it in my spare time, my body guy was going to repaint the engine compartment and inside the cab and re-clear the truck and it would really be a nice ride. I just dont have the room to park all my projects and decided to sell a few.
The rims and tires are in good shape and i have four extra steel rims that go with the truck, the rears are extra wide and skinnier fronts, they looked really good on the truck but the tires were shot.
Feel free to call me with any questions or e-mail through e-bay; NO TEXT....

Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica
Fri, 03 Aug 2012If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.
Here’s how 20 popular EVs fared in cold-weather testing in Norway
Sat, Mar 21 2020Electric vehicles are known to suffer diminished performance in cold weather, but some do a better job than others hanging onto their range capacity while cabin heaters and frigid outdoor temperatures sap power from their batteries. Recently, the Norwegian Automobile Federation put the 20 of the best-selling battery-electric vehicles in the country to the test, to see not only how winter weather affected their range but also their charging times. The major findings: On average, electric vehicles lost 18.5% of their official driving range as determined by the European WLTP cycle. Electric vehicles also charge more slowly in cold temperatures. And interestingly, the researchers learned that EVs don’t simply shut down when they lose power but instead deliver a series of warnings to the driver, with driving comfort and speed levels maintained until the very last few miles. Because itÂ’s Norway, the worldÂ’s top market for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles by market share, the test included many EVs that arenÂ’t available here in the U.S. But there are many familiar faces, among them the Nissan Leaf, Tesla Models S, 3 and X, Hyundai Kona (known here as the Kona Electric) and Ioniq, and Audi E-Tron. In terms of range, the top-performing EV was the Hyundai Kona, which lost only 9% of its official range, which the WTLP rated at 449 kilometers, or 279 miles, compared to its EPA-rated range of 258 miles on a full charge. It delivered 405 km, just enough to nudge it ahead of the Tesla Model 3, which returned 404 km. Other top performers included the Audi E-Tron, in both its 50 Quattro (13% lower range) and higher-powered 55 Quattro (14% lower) guises; the Hyundai Ioniq (10% lower); and Volkswagen e-Golf (11% lower). At 610 km (379 miles) the Tesla Model S has the longest WLTP range of all models tested and went the furthest, but still lost 23% of its range, though it also encountered energy-sapping heavy snow at the end of its test, when many cars had dropped out. The Model 3 lost 28% of its range. The worst performer? That goes to the Opel Ampera-e, better known stateside as the Chevrolet Bolt. It traveled 297 km (about 184 miles) in the test, which was nearly 30% lower than its stated WLTP range. We should also note that Opel, now owned by Groupe PSA, is phasing the car out in Europe and that Chevy recently upgraded the Bolt here in the U.S.
Hagerty kicks back with Ringbrothers for a look at the Recoil
Sat, May 2 2015Over the years, Ringbrothers has shown the ability to mix a meticulous eye for style and serious amounts of horsepower with customs like the Pantera-based Adrnln. The company's recent project, a tuned 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle called Recoil, is some of its best work yet and already has Jay Leno's denim-clad stamp of approval. Now, Hagerty is taking a look, while digging into the history of the actual Ring brothers: Mike and Jim. The two guys grew up in a small town where owning a car was practically a necessity, and the brothers were already wrenching before they could even legally drive. Eventually, that passion grew into a business, which led to wonderfully customized performance vehicles like the Recoil. Hagerty gets a fascinating look into Ringbrothers tuning philosophy in its interview. Of course, the real interest lies in this custom Chevelle, and there's a chance to hear the absolutely ferocious sound from the Recoil's supercharged V8 in this clip.
