I will be describing this truck in three simple paragraphs.  First I will start with the exterior, then I will go into the interior, and last but not least I will go through the drive train.  This truck has a title but has been registered  In Georgia with a tag receipt and bill of sale.  I have tag receipt and bill of sale in my name.  Title comes with the truck too, but it is old I don't think that it is good anymore.  Truck can still be registered easily.

First of all the exterior:
It has a recent paint job Painted about 3 months ago with Base/ clear.  The color of the truck is a GM color  ( Victory Red ).  I added new exterior door handles when the truck was painted, new hot rod style mirror's.  Also I installed a new gas tank rubber and gas tank lid, when the truck was painted.
This truck is strait and very little rust  I have owned the truck for a little over a year.  It was a very solid truck before I decided to paint it.  I have before and after pictures of this truck.  About the only thing not stock on the truck is the bumper on the backIt has a brand new set of aluminum Coy wheels.  The front are 15x7s and the rear are 15x8s.  The truck looks great and turns heads everywhere.  There are a few minor dings in the truck.  This is not a $30,000 dollar show truck.  Just a good looking truck to get out in on the weekends

The Interior:
The glass in the truck is all in good shape.  The seat has been covered sometime in the past, ( It was the way it is when I bought the truck)  The dash in the truck is in very good shape.  It has dark red carpet in the floor that is in good shape.  The interior is pretty much all original.  It is missing the radio, but still has the stock holes in the dash for it.  The headliner is in good shape and its dark gray.  I have installed new Window rollers and door handles for opening the door.  They are a exact replica of the original ones.

Now for the drive train:
This truck is 283 V-8 Chevy engine with a 2 speed automatic transmission (Power glide).  Truck came stock with a 6 cylinder and a three speed.  It was like it is now when I bought it.  The 283 Has a set of headers and 2 chamber flow master exhaust.  A Edelbrock carburetor 650.  It also has a small cam.  Not sure the specs of the cam.  The engine runs very strong and solid.  The transmission shifts out like it is suppose to.  It leaks a little transmission fluid when the truck sits.  I think it is coming from the speed o cable.  The speed o does not work on this truck.  The breaks are still the Drums and shoes.  I have added a new power break booster.  and a couple of new break lines.  The truck stops good.  The rear end is out of late 80's early 90's model s-10.  Not sure what gear ratio it is.  Its about perfect for the truck.  The lug pattern is that of an old chevy car, or an s-10  it's 5 on 4 3-4 rather then the original 6 lug.  It is showing 72,051 miles.  It has not worked the whole time that I have owned the truck.  I have put at least 1000 trouble free miles on this truck.

In conclusion this truck is a great weekend truck to get out of the garage and play with.  Its sounds great, it makes good power for an old heavy truck.  It is very drivable.  It truns a lot of heads.  Me and my wife love getting it out, and riding around in it.  I have it tagged and Insured and get it out on most pretty days even if it's just a trip to the store.  The tires on the front are brand new, the ones on the rear have plenty of life left in them.
Payment on the truck will be a $250 deposit through pay pal.  The rest of the money can be wired to me through the bank or cash in hand on pick up.
My phone number is 423-667-7235  My name is Matt.  If you have any questions about the truck please give me a call or text.  If I can not get to the phone, I am at work please leave me a message and I will call you back as soon as I get a chance.  Thanks  God Bless!

Travis Kvapil tells Twitter his Sprint Cup car was stolen

Fri, Feb 27 2015

There's a bizarre story coming out of Atlanta today, as NASCAR racer Travis Kvapil is reporting that his Sprint Cup Car was stolen from a lot at the Drury Inn in Morrow, GA. Kvapil announced the theft, which included the black pickup that was hauling the trailer and the #44 Chevrolet SS Sprint Cup Car – shown above, with driver JJ Yeley at the wheel – on Twitter. According to Kvapil, the car wasn't going to be ready for the Thursday test session at Atlanta Motor Speedway, although forecasts of snow forced the team to dispatch their main trailer and tools to the track ahead of the car, which left for Atlanta later yesterday. According to ESPN, police in Morrow have video of the "incident," which happened at 5:34 AM Friday, with police investigating it as as criminal in nature. "Sometimes what happens when thieves see trailers, they might just assume there's something in the trailer they can go off and sell," Sgt. Larry Oglesby, of the Morrow PD, told USA Today. "Sometimes when things like this occur, they will drop off the items in a parking lot somewhere – like a Walmart parking lot – once they realize what they have." "All we know is it was a silver jeep," team owner John Cohen told USA Today. "One guy got out and they pulled off together." Earlier, Cohen told ESPN that the theft will force the team out of this weekend's race at the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500, at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Kvapil, meanwhile, has taken to Twitter to appeal to his followers to be on the lookout for the truck, trailer and race car. Here's hoping it turns up all together. Check out the driver's tweets, below. Wow. Anyone near Atlanta find my stolen Cup car let me know! Unreal - Travis Kvapil (@TravisKvapil) February 27, 2015 I bet when whoever has it, opens the trailer and is going to be like 'oh snap' - Travis Kvapil (@TravisKvapil) February 27, 2015 Ok, to clarify. @Teamxtreme44 transporter is @amsupdates. The guys stayed and worked on the car Thursday at the shop in NC. They drove.... - Travis Kvapil (@TravisKvapil) February 27, 2015 down last night in a Ford dually and enclosed trailer with racecar inside. That was stolen out of hotel parking lot this am in Morrow, GA - Travis Kvapil (@TravisKvapil) February 27, 2015 Black Ford dually, white enclosed tag behind trailer. The future's electric — but the present is peak gasoline. Burn some rubber! Do donuts!

Wed, Jun 23 2021

I vividly remember the year 1993 as a teenager looking forward to getting my driver’s license, longingly staring into Pontiac dealerships at every opportunity for a chance to see the brand-new fourth-generation Firebird and Trans Am. Back then, 275 horsepower, courtesy of GMÂ’s LT1 5.7-liter V8 engine, was breathtaking. A few years later, when Ram Air induction systems freed up enough fresh air to boost power over 300 ponies, I figured we were right back where my fatherÂ’s generation left off when the seminal muscle car era ended around the year 1974. It couldn't get any better than that. I was wrong. Horsepower continued climbing, prices remained within reach of the average new-car buyer looking for cheap performance, and a whole new level of muscular magnitude continued widening eyes of automotive enthusiasts all across the United States. It was all ushered in by cheap gasoline prices. And as much as petrolheads bemoan the coming wave of electric vehicles, perhaps instead now would be a good time for critics to sit back and enjoy the current and likely final wave of internal combustion. Today, itÂ’s easier than ever to park an overpowered rear-wheel-drive super coupe or sedan in your driveway. Your nearest Chevy dealership will happily sell you a Camaro with as much as 650 horsepower. Not enough? Take a gander at the Ford showroom and youÂ’ll find a herd of Mustangs up to 760 ponies. Or if nothing but the most powerful will do, waltz on over to the truly combustion-obsessed sales team of a Dodge dealer and relish in the glory of a 797-hp Charger or 807-hp Challenger. Want some more luxury to go with your overgrown stable of horses? Try Cadillac, where you'll find a 668-horsepower CT5-V Blackwing. You could instead choose to wrap that huffin' and chuggin' V8 in an SUV. Or go really off the rails and buy a Ram TRX or Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 and hit the dunes after a quick stop at the drag strip. Go pump some gas. Burn a little rubber. Do donuts! There is nothing but your pocketbook keeping you from buying the V8-powered car of your dreams. Yes, just about every major automaker in the world has halted development of future internal combustion engines in favor of gaining expertise in batteries and electric motors. No, that doesnÂ’t mean that gasoline is going extinct. There are going to be gas stations dotting American cities and highways for the rest of our lifetimes.

Auto Show Notebook: Legendary Continental name inspired Lincoln's designers

Thu, Apr 2 2015

What's in a name? A lot for the Continental concept, and it gave Lincoln designers a sense of purpose as they styled the brand's upcoming flagship sedan. "The moment that we told them, it was amazing," Lincoln president Kumar Galhotra said. "They totally got it." "It" is cutting-edge technology wrapped in stately, large-sedan design. It's a nod to Lincoln's storied past, but a signpost for where the brand is heading. Though the Continental name dates to the late 1930s, Lincoln designers avoided making the concept overtly retro. "You can't let it pull yourself back too far in history, but you've got to design a car that lives up to the name," Galhotra said. Speaking to Autoblog on the floor of the New York Auto Show where the Continental formally debuted Wednesday, the Lincoln president reiterated that the car is on track to launch in 2016. It will compete against the Audi A6, Lexus GS, BMW 5 Series and other large luxury sedans. After its debut, the concept in New York will fly to China – another critical market for Lincoln – for display there. It will be replaced in New York by a prototype without an interior. The Continental is the latest high profile play by Lincoln to raise its image with consumers, who have either ignored or forgotten about it amid steep competition in the luxury sector from German and Japanese brands and a potentially resilient Cadillac. Lincoln sales are essentially flat compared with 2014 through the first quarter of this year, with total volume of 21,478 units. The middling start to 2015 comes on the heels of nearly 16-percent sales growth last year spurred by the launch of the MKC and the prominent signing of Matthew McConaughey to star in Lincoln advertisements. Other News, Notes & Quotes Speaking of names, Chevrolet did its homework before deciding to proceed with "Malibu" for its new generation of midsize cars. "We went out and researched it," said Alan Batey, president of General Motors North America. "People actually like the name 'Malibu,'" he said. Admittedly, the current Malibu has struggled in the marketplace against entrenched competitors, Batey said, but he's optimistic its awareness and historical value are assets to the dramatically redesigned sedan."The name's strong," he said. Meanwhile, in other Chevy news, the brand kicked off a new marketing campaign, "Real People, Not Actors" Wednesday. It will show consumers interacting with Chevys and their spontaneous reactions to the vehicles.
