1953? Chevy 1/2 ton pickup which is definitely a rebuildable project.  I lost the Oregon title and not completely sure of the year….could be a ’51 or ’52.  (I had to list "Clear" because ebay wouldn't allow "Lost Title")  I bought this as a daily driver 35 years ago.  I drove it for a few years and then broke the windshield.  It was running when I parked it with the intentions for fixing it but obviously never got around to it.  I’ve got numerous other “project vehicles” and getting older so know I’ll never get around to fixing this up.  It would be nice to see it go to a good “rebuild” home instead of the scrap yard.

There seems to be very little deep rust.  The only rust through I could find was on the floorboard at the passenger door post area.  I didn’t poke around with a screwdriver to be sure though.  The typical cab bottom rear appears to be solid as well as the fenders.  Three of the 4 fenders are in pretty good shape, one have some dents.  The bed wood floor is bad but all the metal trim is there. There is a small dent on the roof right above the rear window.  It’s about as original/complete as possible excluding the missing engine parts, original radio and couple of knobs.  I removed those years ago for another truck.   The motor appears to be frozen (tried to turn with the fan blades only).  It’s missing the carb and some firewall stuff.  I will be including the 2 extra grille pieces & front bumper splash guard with the truck.

I do have an extra hood, 2 tailgates and a couple of sets of doors and windows I’d be willing to discuss letting go as well.  I’m also listing a ’54 Chevy 3/4 ton pickup (later version bed) and making the same parts offer so if you want them, you’ll have to let me know before end of auction.  Selling both in a pack deal is also an option.

I live in the country and willing to help load the vehicle on a transport or trailer.  I’d be willing to haul it to you within a 500 miles radius of Southern Oregon for the cost of gas round trip.  If you are interested and have any further questions or want more pictures, please email me.  I want to be a honest and straight forward with the sale as possible so please do the same for me.  I will provide a bill of sale for the truck and shouldn’t be much of a problem to retitle since it’s been out of the system for so long.  Both truck are also listed locally so make me an offer I can’t refuse……I’m always into the barter system.

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.

Six-week production shutdown planned for 2016 Chevy Volt

Thu, Apr 9 2015

It's no surprise that GM is winding down production of the first-gen Chevy Volt as it prepares to start building the second-gen for a launch in the second half of this year, but for now, things are proceeding as planned, according to Chevrolet spokesperson Michelle Malcho. Malcho told AutoblogGreen that GM "is still making first generation Volt" and that there has been no announcement about when that will change. The only details she would divulge is that, "It will be this summer." "Halting Chevrolet Volt production in anticipation of the all-new 2016 model year is a smart move for GM," Akshay Anand, an analyst at Kelley Blue Book's KBB.com, said in a statement. "[The move] allows for less inventory and incentives on the outgoing model. Hybrid and alternative fuel vehicle sales have been declining for some time now, with gas prices well below the summer prices of 2014." Volt production will cease in the weeks before the traditional two-week auto plant shutdown over the July 4 holiday. A high inventory of Volts is a factor in the production cuts, but not the only one, Malcho said. The plant construction, engineering changes and pre-production plans for the new Volt and CT6 all were part of the decision, she said. Nationwide, there is about a 200-day supply of Volts on dealer lots (roughly 100 days in California, the car's biggest market), according to the Detroit Free Press, which says there will be a six-week retooling period (twice as long as normal, but other sources say the shutdown will be four weeks long) at GM's Hamtramck plant this summer to get ready for the second-gen model. The 2016 Volt will get an increase in all-electric range to 50 miles and will then get 41 miles per gallon when the battery runs out. It also has a fifth seat that straddles the battery tunnel and a larger li-ion battery. Related Video: The AP contributed to this report. Mary Barra reportedly confirms GM's electric pickup truck plans

Tue, Apr 30 2019

According to Motor Authority, CEO Mary Barra confirmed General Motors' intentions to build an electric pickup truck this week. Whether or not it would be an all-new vehicle is unknown. The news comes not even a week after Ford announced a $500 million investment in electric-vehicle startup Rivian. First, electric powertrains were integrated into cars. Then came the crossovers and the SUVs. Naturally, then, the next wave will be pickup trucks. Ford is set to produce an electric F-150, Rivian has the R1T, and now General Motors has reportedly confirmed its plans to introduce a competitor into the field. The article says the topic was brought up in a recent investor call as part of a brief overview of the automaker's electrification strategy. That's where the details end, however, as there is no indication of a timeline, what GM brand would carry the truck, or whether it would be an entirely new product or an adaptation of a current model. The latter seems most likely, which points to the Chevrolet Silverado or the GMC Sierra as possibilities. Chevrolet has been GM's electrification leader this decade with the Bolt and Volt, so an electric Silverado would align well with that messaging and branding. However, an electric pickup would likely be a pricier premium product, which could align it better with GMC. Autoblog has reached out to GM for comment and will update this space when we get a response. Green Rumormill Chevrolet GMC Truck Electric Future Vehicles Mary Barra electric truck chevrolet silverado
