You are looking at a 1968 L79 Nova with the 327 325HP engine known as the L79. This car is 1 of 1274 cars ordered with the rare L79 motor option in the 1968 Chevrolet Nova. This is a factory floor shift 3 speed car with factory air condition. Only 317 cars didn't get upgraded from a three speed to a four speed. This Borg Warner M13 3 speed was the factory default transmission for the L79 and the L48 Super sport.

The car is fully documented back to the original owner. Documentation includes the GM warranty protecto plate, original broadcast sheet, a copy of the original tittle and original registration. This car had a 2 year full rotisserie restoration. Everything is either rebuilt, re-plated, or replaced. A huge list of NOS parts were used. No expense was spared. The car was just featured in the March issue of Hemming's Muscle Machine magazine a 6 page restoration profile article.

To clear up a little information on the driveline that is in the car. The day the original owner picked up the car the motor failed 2 miles from the dealership. A replacement L79 short block was installed under warranty. The L79 block casting is 3914678 a large journal block and the casting date is I-22-7 The transmission is original to the car and matches the GM protecto plate. The rear is original and matches the GM protecto plate. The L79 is built to factory specs 11:1 30 over. I have 100's of pictures of the restoration which was done by me. GM recalls 64k 2011-2013 Volts over carbon monoxide fears, stop sale on Trax and Encore

General Motors is recalling 50,249 Chevrolet Volts from the 2011-2013 model years in the US and an additional 13,937 exported examples because of fears over carbon monoxide buildup. According to a statement, if a Volt is accidentally left on while running on electric power, its internal combustion engine would eventually kick on to charge on the battery. If this happens in an enclosed space, then carbon monoxide can fill the area, leading to a potential exposure to the dangerous gas. According to GM, there have been two injuries reported due to this issue. To fix the problem, there's a software update to limit the time the vehicle can idle. According to Automotive News, GM is also issuing a stop sale on about 2,300 examples of the 2015 Chevrolet Trax and Buick Encore. In these compact crossovers, it's possible that the steering column assembly could touch the power steering circuit board and cause damage over time. This could potentially cause the system to stop working. Automotive News indicates that the automaker is still working with the supplier to get the necessary parts to repair this problem. General Motors is recalling 50,249 Chevrolet Volts in the U.S. from the 2011-2013 model years to implement a software update that will limit the amount of time a vehicle can be left idling in the "on" or "run" position. If a driver exits the vehicle and inadvertently leaves the vehicle "on" by failing to react to cues and warning chimes emitted by the vehicle, the vehicle's high-voltage battery will drain after a period of time and the gasoline engine will begin to run. If the gas engine runs for a long period of time within an enclosed space, such as a garage, carbon monoxide could build up. GM is aware of two injuries, both related to carbon monoxide build up. GM to trim Russian output, raise prices amid currency woes

General Motors is shutting down its factory in Russia's second largest city, St. Petersburg, from the middle of March until the middle of May as the country's currency, the ruble, continues to give economists fits. The ruble's value has plunged due not only to western sanctions, but a precipitous fall in oil prices. We knew these factors were already impacting the auto industry there, as Ford reported in its 2014 earnings statement, and now they're forcing GM to cut production at the factory, shown above, that is responsible for production of the Chevrolet Cruze and Opel Astra. Meanwhile, Automotive News is citing Russian outlet Kommersant as saying that GM has hiked its prices in the country by an average of 20 percent over the past two months. While a GM spokesman confirmed the St. Petersburg plant would be shut down for the two-month span reported by Kommersant and AN, he would not confirm the price increase.
