Up for auction we have a 1996 Chevy Monte Carlo. This is a really nice car that just needs some TLC, or just drive it as it is. It is powered by Chevy's indestructable 3.1 v6 engine. This car runs and drives great, the only mechanical issue is the brakes are a little iffy (should be towed just to be safe but it is up to you.) I think they just need to be bled but I'm not a mechanic so I have no idea. Other than that the car is good to go. Like new brake pads, great tires, etc. The car is very clean aside of a slight cigarrette odor inside and some odds and ends stupid stuff here and there as with any used car. The driver's quarter panel and door are dented but they are repairable. The door should just pop out with a rubber mallet once you take the panel off but I didn't have time to play with it. The quarter can probably be hammered out too. I do have the quarter moulding and it is included. Anyways, check out the pictures and you be the judge. The car does have a few blemishes here and there but they should buff out. This car is pretty well loaded, power windows, a/c, power mirrors, cassette player, etc. Unfortunatly the speakers were removed but they can be found at any junkyard for next to nothing. Also, the previous owner damaged the rear deck (the carpeted shelf below the rear window) to remove those speakers but it really isn't noticeable. With a little TLC this could be a great car. As with any used car, it is sold as-is. If I didn't have so many I would keep this one to save gas, it definatly lives up to the Monte Carlo name of being comfortable! Clean PA title in my name ready to transfer. There are multiple notaries within a few miles of my home. Cash only upon pickup. Car must be picked up within 7 days of the auction's end unless other arrangements are made prior to bidding. Any questions please ask, additional pictures available upon request. Thanks and happy bidding!
IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 10 + FEEDBACK you must contact me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled. Non paying bidders will not only be reported to ebay, but to the appropriate authorities as well. A bid is a legal binding contract, auctions aren't games. If you bid at an auction house and don't pay not only are you banned from there but you get put on a list that is sent to every auctioneer in the state. Sorry to sound so harsh but I've sold local pickup items before as many as 6 times until a serious buyer actually bought it. Serious buyers only please.

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage
Thu, 24 Jan 2013Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
GM won't really kill off the Chevy Volt and Cadillac CT6, will it?
Fri, Jul 21 2017General Motors is apparently considering killing off six slow-selling models by 2020, according to Reuters. But is that really likely? The news is mentioned in a story where UAW president Dennis Williams notes that slumping US car sales could threaten jobs at low-volume factories. Still, we're skeptical that GM is really serious about killing those cars. Reuters specifically calls out the Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac CT6, Cadillac XTS, Chevrolet Impala, Chevrolet Sonic, and the Chevrolet Volt. Most of these have been redesigned or refreshed within the past few model years. Four - the LaCrosse, Impala, CT6, and Volt - are built in the Hamtramck factory in Detroit. That plant has made only 35,000 cars this year - down 32 percent from 2016. A typical GM plant builds 200,000-300,000 vehicles a year. Of all the cars Williams listed, killing the XTS, Impala, and Sonic make the most sense. They're older and don't sell particularly well. On the other hand, axing the other three seems like an odd move. It would leave Buick and Cadillac without flagship sedans, at least until the rumored Cadillac CT8 arrives. The CT6 was a big investment for GM and backing out after just a few years would be a huge loss. It also uses GM's latest and best materials and technology, making us even more skeptical. The Volt is a hugely important car for Chevrolet, and supplementing it with a crossover makes more sense than replacing it with one. Offering one model with a range of powertrain variants like the Hyundai Ioniq and Toyota Prius might be another route GM could take. All six of these vehicles are sedans, Yes, crossover sales are booming, but there's still a huge market for cars. Backing away from these would be essentially giving up sales to competitors from around the globe. The UAW might simply be publicly pushing GM to move crossover production to Hamtramck to avoid closing the plant and laying off workers. Sales of passenger cars are down across both GM and the industry. Consolidating production in other plants and closing Hamtramck rather than having a single facility focus on sedans might make more sense from a business perspective. GM is also trying to reduce its unsold inventory, meaning current production may be slowed or halted while current cars move into customer hands. There's a lot of politics that goes into building a car. GM wants to do what makes the most sense from a business perspective, while the UAW doesn't workers to lose their jobs when a factory closes.
Jay Leno gets pulled over while roaring in a Corvette Z06 convertible
Tue, Jan 6 2015No one is above the law, even if that person is a certain silver-haired auto enthusiast with a popular weekly video series about the cars in his garage. This week, Jay Leno experiences the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z06, but he also gets to have a meeting with some of California's Finest immediately after a high-speed blast. As opposed to the full-bore Z06 coupe with the seven-speed manual, Leno gets behind the wheel of the slightly heavier convertible version with the eight-speed auto. Being a droptop doesn't bother him too much, but Leno makes it obvious he wishes that he could be shifting for himself. Even if the auto is technically quicker, Leno says that swapping gears gives him something to do while driving. Of course, one of the major advantages of the convertible is the ability to listen to the Z06's thumping V8 unimpeded. With 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque from 6.2-liters of supercharged muscle, it already puts down impressive numbers, but the sound might just be the best part of all. Around town, the 'Vette is quiet enough to easily blend in with the rest of traffic. However, tip the throttle down and the valves in the exhaust open up to turn the engine into roaring monster. Be careful where you make this thing howl, though, because it's pretty easy for the police to take notice. The host finds that out the hard way in this week's episode of Jay Leno's Garage.
