1984 Chevy Monte Carlo SS

Easy project car!!!!

I bought this car to restore because the body was so straight and rust free. But with too many projects going on right now I just don't have the time for this car.

The motor is a 1969 327 with aluminum intake with edelbrock carb. Very strong motor. The transmission shifts smoothly. The body appears to have been undercoated from the factory and almost everything is included in with this car to make a really nice car. The previous owner removed the AC box on the firewall because he wanted to race it, but never did and it sat in warehouse for 10 years until I bought it. I do have the AC condenser box with it along with other parts. Windows, tach, radio all work. With a small amount of body work and paint the car will look nice. Needs carpet and headliner, but new headliner come with the car. New Weld wheels with new tires. The interior is blue and white with the SS on the headrests. The seats have some minor stain spots and needs cleaning but no rips or tears. I have the original engine block to go with it too.

GM 6.2L V8 claims most powerful light-duty truck engine title

General Motors has officially captured the horsepower crown for mainstream pickup trucks with its 6.2-liter V8. The big mill, available in both the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, comes to market with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, handily outdoing its two cross-town competitors, Ram (5.7-liter V8, 395 ponies and 407 lb-ft) and Ford (6.2-liter V8, 411 hp and 434 lb-ft).
The new GM 6.2 will take a bit of an investment, though. Those that want the extra thrust will need to go with either the LTZ or High Country trims from the Chevy, or the SLT and Denali trims from GMC, which are the two highest trim levels for the respective vehicles. Trim levels aside, if you're in the business of towing, GM has you covered. Optioned with the 6.2-liter V8 and the Max Trailering Package, owners will be able to pull 12,000 pounds, a hugely impressive figure.
We still aren't certain as to what sort of economy the new engine will get, but it'll probably be a bad bet for the fuel conscious. As for availability, expect to see the 6.2-liter trucks in showrooms later in the fall.

Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future

The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
