Here is a great condition, low mile , Classic car ! This car was a one family car most of it's life until recently. Garage kept & meticulously maintained. Within the last few years it's had a correct, panel removal paint job & a new vinyl roof installed. The Factory GM rally wheels were also restored and covered with brand new BF Goodrich Tires. The spare is a matching full size Rally wheel. Has a new Flowmaster, true dual exhaust (front to back). Sounds great , not to loud with just enough growl. New brakes, new starter & alt, Tune up. This cars original AC Still blows Ice cold ! Heat works also. There is no rust or rot anywhere. The paint & interior are Flawless ! I think this car looks better than the day it left the showroom. Runs & drives down the road smooth and tight. (has front & rear sway bars)The only think to mention about the interior is a small crack (slit) in the top of the dash pad. Not that bad really. It is a very nice car that needs nothing to be enjoyed. I have the original purchase & sales agreement . It was sold in Lynn ,MA @ Beacon Chevrolet on the Lynnway. THIS CAR IS BEING OFFERED WITH NO - RESERVE & A BUY IT NOW THAT INCLUDES FREE SHIPPING ! THAT'S RIGHT , FREE SHIPPING WITH BUY IT NOW.....Car is also being sold locally & I reserve the right to end the auction early. THANKS & GOOD LUCK ! |

GM won't pay owners of recalled cars for lost value
Thu, 12 Jun 2014Kenneth Feinberg, the man in charge of the General Motors compensation fund dealing with the its widespread ignition switch woes, has issued an informal, two-letter response to the plaintiffs in more than 70 lawsuits seeking redress for lost resale value of their Cobalts: "No." The cases were recently combined into one, but Feinberg told The Detroit News that the fund will deal "only with death and physical injury claims," and that "perceived diminished value" will get no consideration.
ALG, the firm specializing in establishing residual values, determined that Cobalt owners had lost $300 compared to the segment competition and doesn't envision any long-term effects from the recall situation. Feinberg's statement comes in advance of public details on how the compensation fund will work and adheres to GM's long-held position on the matter. The company has already asked a judge to throw out such suits using the pre-bankruptcy defense, even as it stopped using that defense in cases of injury and death.
With plenty of potential gain from the GM suit, however, don't expect the plaintiffs to give up yet. When Toyota was sued for the same reason during the unintended acceleration debacle, it eventually settled the case for between $1 billion and $1.4 billion just to get it over with. Since the 85 law firms involved in the Toyota litigation took home more than $250 million of that total, we shouldn't expect the attorneys to give up on a GM payout, either.
Was the C7 Corvette cut from Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show?
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Someone was bound to receive a free 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray during the Super Bowl XLVII festivities; it just wasn't who we thought it was going to be. Despite a report back in December that superstar Beyoncé Knowles would be getting an all-new Corvette during her halftime performance, that turned out not to be the case. Joe Flacco, starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, did in fact win a Corvette for his MVP performance.
So what transpired that prevented Beyoncé from rolling on stage in the new Chevrolet? Anyone who knows isn't telling, but according to Yahoo! Autos, General Motors said that for one reason or another a deal "did not work out," and it appears to have been an eleventh-hour change. Regardless of who's to blame or what prevented this from happening, we're sure Chevy has had no problems getting attention for the C7 Corvette since it was introduced last month.
Pushing Back: GM expanding Chevrolet into Korea, Daewoo out
Thu, 29 Apr 2010Chevrolet Camaro goes to South Korea - Click above for high-res image
General Motors decided several years ago to begin heavily promoting Chevrolet as its global mainstream brand even in markets where its existing brands like Opel and Daewoo were a dominant force. Today, at the Busan Motor Show in South Korea, GM Daewoo president Mike Arcamone announced that the Camaro would lead the way in GM's efforts to market Chevrolet in South Korea.
For now at least Chevrolet and Daewoo-branded vehicles will coexist in the Korean market. However, while we were in China last week GM officials told us that the Daewoo brand, which has been somewhat tainted by past quality issues, would eventually be phased out in favor of Chevrolet. When the new Aveo launches next year it will likely be badged as a Chevrolet even though GM Daewoo is in charge of engineering the car.
