Here in this listing I have a 1967 Chevelle SS clone. It came out beautiful. I don't have the time to enjoy and I am moving soon so something has to go as I don't have storage for all my cars. This car was a good foundation when I started. It has a great chassis with no repairs ever. It has it's original floors still intact and not rotted out. No holes or rust. All it's original panels are still in place. The trunk looks great with no rust or holes. No signs of previous repair. The body on this car was very straight and no major rust anywhere. Almost everything on this car was restored or is brand new. Starting with the inside out. The interior is completely brand new. The seats were all redone. All the interior panels are brand new. The dash is all new. Carpet is new. All trim and handles are brand new. The only thing not new is the headliner which is original. It is ok but should be done at some point. It's not hanging just has a few nicks and small tears here and there but is all there and clean. Sun-visors were replaced and are new. There is a new glove box liner also installed. The original radio is still there and in place. No aftermarket radio or holes cut. I am not too sure and will check but I think the radio is not working. All the window are in perfect shape with no cracks or chips. They all rolls up and down as they should. The window laces (felts)were all replaced. The interior light works as it should. The wipers work the way they should. All the lights, brake lights, blinkers etc.... Work the way they should. The horn works. So now for the outside. The car has a brand new paint job. It was done with a two stage system by PPG. Base coat, clear coat. It has 4 layers of white and 4 coats of clear. It looks and shines beautiful. No imperfections no rust, no dents. All the body lines line up and look great. The doors all close good with no dropping or sagging. The outside door handles and locks are all new. The trunk lid lines up perfect and closes great. The trunk has a new rubber seal installed. The hood is the only panel not original it was replaced with an SS hood and trim. It's looks great and is a great addition to the car. Both bumpers are brand new. The parking lights are new and the rear tail lights lens and trim are all new. All trim and molding on the outside of the car are brand new. Everything is new!! The front grille and headlight grilles are all new. There wasn't a penny spared on this resto. All the emblems are new and look great. The only ones I didn't put on are the SS emblems on the front and back. I didn't put them on because they all say 396 below and I don't want to represent the car as a big block because its NOT. The motor is an older rebuilt 327 motor rebuilt by the previous owner. I dressed the motor and it looks great. I installed a new Edelbrock 4bbl manifold and a good Holley carb. I installed a new MSD HEI distributor and got rid of the points. It has a new alternator. New battery. New plugs and wires. Fresh oil and filters. Runs great. My honest plan for this car was to replace this motor and put in a 396 Big Block and a 4 speed trans. That would make this car perfect and make it worth a lot of money. The car has 4 new shocks installed. The brakes are all new from front to back. New brake hardware and new wheel cylinders, new drums. Also has a new master cylinder. There is a brand new exhaust from front to back. Basically everything is brand new on the car. I am sure the new owner will put there own little touches on it to make it there own. The car runs and drives with no issues. Temp runs cool and no overheating issues ever. Radiator and system were flushed. New thermostat was installed as well as all new hoses.
I am trying to describe the car the best I can. I am sure I missed something so please ask questions. I will answer all questions ASAP. Also please come check the car out in person. If you can't come yourself there are companies out there that will do an inspection for you. USE THEM!! This way there are no problems or issues later.( My word is good but your opinion of something might be different.)!!!!  This isn't a game so be serious so both parties are happy! The car is being sold in as is Condition with no warranties implied or given. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. The car can not leave until full payment is cleared. I will help in any way I can with loading the car. If you request any specific pics I will try and send them to you but don't wait for the last minute. The car is also listed for sale locally so I have the right to end the auction early. If you also want to make me an offer I am open to all just no low ballers. Don't waste my time or yours. Thanks

Good Luck and Happy bidding!

Chevrolet donates 300 vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

Super Storm Sandy took out a lot of automobiles in its path of destruction through the Northeast last October. The number surpassed 250,000 at last count, and a few of those were owned by Chevrolet - cars either sitting on dealership lots or waiting at port to be shipped off. Rendered unsellable by the water damage inflicted by Sandy, these vehicles were facing the crusher. But Chevy didn't send them there.
Instead, Chevy had a better idea: It will be donating 300 of these vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders at Guardian Centers in Perry, GA. Chevy is the official automotive partner of Guardian Centers, which is an 830-acre facility that trains first responders in disaster preparedness. Junked cars are practically a consumable commodity there, where a full-size cityscape simulator gives trainees an entire urban center in which to train for all sorts of rescue operations and disaster scenarios.
Chevy says its particular vehicles will be used "in conjunction with role players for wide area searches, traffic congestion in emergency situations, counter terrorism, public order and mass casualty exercises." While grim scenarios all, we're certainly glad there are people out there preparing for the unexpected. While a zombie apocalypse isn't officially on the list of potential disasters to prepare for, when the virus hits, we'll be hot-footing it to Perry, GA to hang with these guys and gals.

Use this PowerPoint when convincing your spouse to let you buy a Corvette

When you are not the one in charge of the purse strings, creativity is a must when trying to get the string-holder to bankroll that next shiny object you just can't live without.
When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.
