President Obama will be on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee
Tue, Dec 22 2015The seventh season of Jerry Seinfeld's excellent Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee will debut on Wednesday, December 30, and if this first trailer is any indication, the guest lineup is damn impressive. But rather than building up to one big guest over the course of the season, the show is starting with one of the biggest guests possible – the president of the United States. President Barack Obama will join Seinfeld behind the wheel of what looks like a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray for a trip around the South Lawn of the White House. According to CBS, the pair will enjoy their coffee in the staff dining room, which is probably a better idea than crippling Washington, D.C., with a Stingray-led motorcade. Aside from the president, Seinfeld has recruited a couple comedy icons, including first-timers Will Ferrell and Steve Martin. Also appearing are Garry Shandling, Sebastian Maniscalco, and Kathleen Madigan. The four-wheeled stars will include the Corvette, a Plymouth Superbird, a Chevy Camaro, a classic Porsche 911, a BMW 2002, and what we think is a (rather troublesome) 1952 Siata 208 8V Coupe Balbo. Crash victim found still inside car 6 hours after it was towed away [w/video]
Wed, Jan 7 2015Police near Dayton, OH, have quite a confusing case on their hands after the victim of a crash early on New Year's Day couldn't initially be found. Six hours later, the man was discovered lying on the vehicle's floorboard at the tow yard. The unidentified person was admitted to a local hospital in critical condition with possible leg injuries. The police first responded to the scene of the crash around 3:00 am on New Year's Day when a Chevrolet Impala hit a utility pole and drove through a fence, according to WHIO News. The authorities claim that they searched for the man for an hour and a half and came up with nothing. The car was then hauled away to the yard, which was only about 500 feet away. The tow yard worker found the man around 9:00 am and called 911. However, he was clearly dubious about the injured man's predicament and suggested to the operator that he might have returned to the Impala. Police are still investigating the incident. According to WHIO, authorities might have somehow missed the man in the sedan during the search. Alternatively, he could have left the scene of the accident and later returned. 2013 Chevy COPO Camaro announced with two new engines and manual option
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Chevrolet is following up the 2012 COPO Camaro with another limited run of the drag-strip-ready production car for 2013. Ditching the superchargers, the 2013 COPO Camaro can only be equipped with one of three naturally aspirated V8 engines, and other new features include the option of a manual transmission, new front springs, some minor styling changes and a lower starting price of $86,000. All cars are designed to abide by the rules of the NHRA's Stock Eliminator or Super Stock classifications, depending on in which series buyers wish to enter their Chevrolet Camaro.
Returning for 2013 is the 427-cubic-inch V8 producing 425 horsepower, but the new engines include a 325-hp 350-CID V8 and a 375-hp 396-CID V8. Buyers can select to purchase all three engines, and each will be matched with the sequence number of that car; the track-only COPO cars will not have vehicle identification numbers and can't be registered for street use.
Chevrolet is also offering unique enthusiast-specific options such as a COPO Build Book and the opportunity for owners to help assemble their car's engine at the Chevrolet Performance Build Center in Wixom, MI.
