Well kept 2003 CHEVY IMPALA LS, 3.8L auto, 171k miles, fully loaded, looks and drives great. looks like it does in the pictures, Its hard to find one in this nice of condition. clean title....this is a loaded model and comes with most options, leather, power seats, pdl,pw,cd,dual ab,ect. Drives nicer than my new 40k Fj. Smogged and tested very clean. I am a small volume dealer that focuses on heavy truck sales. I only purchased this car a couple of months ago due to it great shape and have personally placed about 2k mile as well as repaired any notable issues I found important. Recent work includes new autozone battery, new front brakes, new fan,new catalytic converter, new tran filter. I encourage all bidders to ask questions and I will make the car available to have bidders have their own mechanics inspect the car before the end of the auction. The car is a turn key driver with good tires and is ready to drive. Although, please keep in mind that is a used vehicle and is not sold in new condition. Please look at all pictures and ask questions. The goal of this transaction should be for all parties to be happy.

As before the car is in great shape for it age but please note: Body has small scratches, dings inherent with age of car but is still in great shape(most likely kept in garage) with no rust(California car). There is a small dent on left front of hood about 1 1/2 inch...see pict and a scratch on rear bumper. Interior is in great shape with exception of wear on front driver seat and some on passenger side(see picts), tear on center armrest and worn leather on steering wheel. Steering wheel buttons are worn(hard to read labels but seem functional). Driver side heated seat(passenger side fine)and rear defroster are not working. I have not investigated issue any further than looking at fuse but in order to keep cost down I will leave this to to new owner. Good luck

Hot Wheels' Twitter-enabled vending machine coughs up free Camaro diecasts

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

There are still plenty of companies that haven't gotten the whole social media thing down pat yet, but Hot Wheels isn't one of them. During the recent Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Hot Wheels created a lot of buzz for itself by using a vending machine filled with Chevrolet Camaro models, but instead of money to get the cars, show attendees just had to use Twitter.
To get the free car, people were asked to send a tweet to Hot Wheels Canada saying what they liked about the new Hot Wheels Edition Camaro, and including the #ChevyCIAS hashtag. This seemed to be a popular marketing tool, too, as AdWeek reports that the @HotWheelsCanada account more than tripled in followers during the course of the 10-day show. Looking ahead, this could open up even more innovative marketing possibilities using social media.
Check out the video posted below to watch how it works, and while the auto show has ended and the free-car giveaway has too, we're almost certain that some of the 1,500 freebies will make their way onto eBay.

Car Club USA: Corvette Homecoming

Tue, Mar 17 2015

Car Club USA travels to Bowling Green, KY to document the annual Corvette Homecoming, where owners travel from around the country to reconnect with the manufacturing birthplace of their vehicles. We follow two contestants in the "Show and Shine" competition, for whom the human connection at the event is just as important as showing off their wheels. "That's probably the biggest thing about this weekend," says one attendee, "there's a connection with Corvette people." Of course, the grandeur seeing stunners like a 1959 Corvette convertible, 1966 Big Block and 2002 Z06 is worth the price of admission. Get a firsthand look at the Homecoming experience, and the folks that make it so special. Each Car Club USA episode features a different car club or event from across the US, where passionate owner communities gather to share automotive experiences and embark on incredible adventures. From Main Street cruises to off-road trails, catch all the latest car club activity on Autoblog. It won't be long now before Nissan Leaf finally overtakes Chevy Volt

Thu, Dec 25 2014

The two best-selling plug-in vehicles ever are the Chevy Volt and the Nissan Leaf. When the two vehicles launched in late 2010, the plug-in hybrid Volt quickly outpaced the all-electric Leaf and, despite lots of ups and downs since then, continues to hold on to a cumulative sales lead. This will change in 2015. Cumulatively, from November 2010 through November 2014, the Volt sold 71,867 units while the Leaf trails with 69,220. That's a difference of just 2,647. Based on current trends (with the Leaf selling around 2,500-2,700 a month and the Volt at 1,500-1,700) we expect the Leaf to take over either in January or, more likely, February when the Leaf takes over as the most popular plug-in car in America. Perhaps even March, depending on how low the numbers are for January and February, which are always slow sales months in the US. Of course, once it takes the crown, the Leaf can't expect to easily hold on for long. A new Volt is coming in the second half of 2015, likely beating a new Leaf to market. The question is, then, how well the Chevy sells with all of its new bells and whistles. Do you think the Volt will be the comeback kid once the 2016 model becomes available?
