I have up for sale a recently purchased garage kept since new 1995 Impala SS.
It is Cherry Mettalic original paint no fadding on bumpers /hood/trunk or roof.. NON SMOKER car, non modified period.
SUPER ORIGINAL ones are getting hard to find and with low miles good luck.
These continue to go in value every year if it is clean and low mileage.
This car was purchased new in Batavia Ohio and has been babied its whole life. Never seen winters and was brought to Florida a few months back.
It has the Upgrade package for the SS that did not come on all of them.
6 way power passenger seat, AM/FM CD player, Auto headlight on feature , dimming rear view mirror, side mirror defrost, remote for trunk release.
I have the original window sticker ($25,400 when new), this car has the Digital Speedometer and digital odometer/tripometer.
It shifts and drives fine, AC is super cold, all of the power options work I have only driven the car about 300 miles to local cruises. My plan was to keep it for a long time as I have wanted one for since 95 but couldnt afford it when new. Its nice but I have decided to get back into a classic car, me and the wife love the car but we prefer the classic cars better so that is the reason for selling it. If it does not sell I will keep it for awhile and enjoy it.

The car was original no adds period, since purchasing about a month ago I have performed an oil change Royal Purple Syntheitc oil and Filter, K&N drop in air filter, full detail of interior including leather clean and treat, carpets and interior is super nice no tears, rips stains even the original snap floor mats are nice. I have clay bared the paint, cleaned the paint and put two coats of carnuba wax on it.

New additions to the car over a $1300 spent on parts & labor just last week.
New four wheel slotted brake Rotors SSBC Stainless Steel Brake Company and new front wheel bearings and races, HAWK performance pads, high end Bilstien GAS Shocks, Energy Suspension front sway bar bushings centers and end links.
The original DeCarbon GAS shocks are good and could be re-sold as they were exclusive to the SS car, the rotors, pads were only about 6 months old they go with the car.
I have a set of NGK high dollar plugs and a custom set of Taylor 8MM spark plug wires brand new power antennae module not installed yet,
Optima Yellow Top deep cell battery.

Things that still need attention these were items I was aware of when I purchased the car from the owner.
- passenger front door needs new lock actuator for the power lock,
- Passenger rear driver side door window appears to go down at an angle I beleive it is one of the plastic gears a common thing with these cars.
- The fuel pump was replaced a few months before I purchased it and they moved the fuel level float so it is off by about a qtr tank.
- Passenger side rear door the tint window is scratched.
Tires should be replaced soon Correct BFG's on it now.

The car is adult owned and I have a clear Forida Title in my hand, No joy riders, dreamers, tire kickers, or test pilots. Serious bidders only It will not last.

I have one set of keys and one key fob that is what was given to me when I purchased it.

I will not ship, transport, the car must be picked up upon purchase I will not store it. You must purchase the vehicle in person and hand me CASH in US Currency no checks period.

Ram 1500 bests new F-150 in MT pickup shootout

Tue, Nov 25 2014

Ford's 2015 Ford F-150 is a technological tour-de-force, what with its aluminum-intensive construction and its powerful and efficient new 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine option. But now that it's hit the market, it's time to get down to brass tacks and find out how just the latest F-150 actually stands up to its rivals in the hyper-competitive fullsize segment. Motor Trend is among the first to round up the Ford (in Lariat 2.7-liter 4X4 guise here) and put it up against the Ram 1500 Outdoorsman EcoDiesel 4x4 and 5.3-liter-equipped Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 to find out how Dearborn's new-think truck measures up. The test put the trio through over 1,000 miles of tough driving in California and Arizona in a variety of conditions from just cruising around unladen to hauling a trailer. MT found all three trucks to be competent, but the most praise got heaped on the Ram and the Ford, with the Chevrolet falling a step behind its competitors in many tests. Among the Ford's most-liked features was its 2.7-liter, twin-turbo V6 that helped make the F-150 easily the quickest of the group, with some editors saying the engine felt about the same whether driving around with cargo in the bed or not. There was some minor turbo lag during acceleration while trailering, but that issue affected the Ram, too. The Ram's powertrain was lauded, as well. The EcoDiesel was torquey around town, and the 1500's combination of an eight-speed automatic and air suspension was judged to be the best of the lot. It was the most difficult to get into the bed, though. The Ram also won the fuel economy award by netting 20-miles-per-gallon city and 28-mpg highway in the test to beat its Environmental Protection Agency ratings of 19/27. The Ford's EcoBoost managed 17/22, one mpg off each from the EPA numbers, and using a lot of throttle really depleted its efficiency. As MT notes, however, it would take time for the diesel's mileage savings to pay off at the pump for these two trucks. In the end, the Ram just barely eked out the win, with the title partially earned because of "the Ford's unknown maintenance and aluminum repair costs," according to MT. Read This: Auto Extremist advocates for Corvette as brand with multiple models [w/poll]

Fri, 25 Jan 2013

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette really grinds Peter De Lorenzo's gears. Or, more accurately, the self-anointed Auto Extremist has an issue with what he sees as mismanagement of the legendary sports car by General Motors executives. In a new editorial on his website, De Lorenzo argues it's time to split Corvette off from Chevrolet to create an all-new brand, complete with a model range with at least three new takes on the sports car. Capable of fully leveraging the successes of the Corvette Racing program and brandishing the full might of GM's technical prowess, the Corvette brand would theoretically give Porsche something to sweat over.
Sure, that sounds like a party, but given GM's troubled track record when it comes to launching (let alone managing) brands, we say that's slippery slope that could just as easily end with the whole Corvette franchise in the scrap bin. Either way, the notion is certainly an interesting one. Head over to Auto Extremist to take in the full editorial, and then let us know what you think in Comments. Should GM split off its most storied nameplate?

2016 Chevy Malibu exhaustively tested with four decades of data

Fri, Mar 13 2015

Chevy is preparing to unveil its new Malibu sedan at the upcoming New York Auto Show next month. But when it does, it's not like it will have appeared overnight. The development of any new vehicle – especially one as widely produced by a major automaker as the Malibu – involves rigorous and relentlessly punishing tests. In the Malibu's case, that meant 1.5 million miles of driving from the scorching heat of Arizona in July to the frigid cold of northern Canada in January and everything in between. The Bowtie brand also says it incorporated four decades' worth of data taken from vehicles driving in locations around the world since 1972 in order to make the Malibu the best it could be. We'll have to wait to find out the results of all that exhaustive testing, but you can catch a sneak peek at the new sedan in the video above. Four Decades of Data Used to Test 2016 Chevrolet Malibu Recorded customer use drives durability testing for next-generation midsize sedan 2015-03-11 DETROIT – Data collected over decades from across the globe is helping ensure the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu can handle the world's worst roads even if the all-new midsize sedan never drives on them. Data collection boxes are placed in cars in real-world driving conditions around the world. Since 1972, these devices have accurately recorded the harshness and frequency of every jounce, bump and shudder inflicted on the car on roads in the U.S., Russia, Saudi Arabia and developing markets. "Although most Malibu owners will never put their car through similar abuse, we test all new vehicles in extreme climates, inclement weather and on punishing road surfaces," said Dan Devine, Malibu validation engineer. "The 2016 Malibu is definitely up to these challenges." Tests like these ensured the current generation Malibu was dependable and durable, two qualities that in turn helped Malibu stand out from its rivals in important quality surveys, such as J.D. Power's Initial Quality Study and Vehicle Dependability Study. General Motors engineers analyze the data to calculate the precise amount of damage potholes and other hazards create over 150,000 miles. Then the conditions are replicated at GM's Milford Proving Ground in Michigan on three unique road courses, each riddled with simulated potholes of increasing severity. Engineers run preproduction cars through the course up to hundreds of times.
