Driver front seat has a tear, A/C has a leak but does indeed blow cold when re-charged. Fog lights need some adjustment to operate again, air-horn is non-functioning although all the parts are still intact."

This rare "Vanbulance" is a classic type III Chevrolet chassis and cab, dually rear wheels, with a "Modular Ambulance Corporation" insulated fiberglass/metal unit on the back. The company was in business for about four years back in the late 70's from what I can tell. I have yet to see another one like it!

It has the ORIGINAL (gasoline) 5.7 liter V-8 350 automatic Chevrolet engine with 98,128 miles. The ambulance starts, drives, and shifts smooth and strong. It has two batteries, power-steering and brakes, A/C (needs leak repaired and re-charged), clean California registration and title--registered/smogged thru June 2014.

Approximate dimensions are: Rear double-door opening, height is 52.5 inches, 50 3/4 inches wide. Ambulance clearence is 7 ft 6 inches, length is 17 ft 8 inches, width of ambulance is 9 ft (with side mirrors.)

This beauty has been well maintained as it was originally from the small mountain lake town of Spirit Lake, Idaho. The last owner was The American Red Cross, hence the newer red/white paint.

I've driven it for the past 3.5 years for work and have kept it well maintained. Upgrades include: newer tires (all 6), new throaty glass-pack muffler, new alternator, new 4-barrel carburetor, new fuel-pump, recent tune-up and spark plug cables replaced...All lights (except fog) function and flash, including side and rear "scene" lights. You can light up the neighborhood with these. All back cab windows professionally limo-tinted for privacy. Tons of storage inside, cabinets are all intact with see-thru acrylic sliding doors. Three illuminated locking outside compartments come in handy, one of them contains the spare tire and jack.

All service records from the last 3 years are available upon request.

Excellent use for a tool truck, surfer's van, hunting/camping, motorcycle transportation...use your imagination! Every day I get compliments on this rig.

Do you guys like trucks?

Wed, Jan 17 2018

Do you guys like trucks? If the answer is yes, boy do we have the show for you! The 2018 North American International Auto Show is lousy with 'em. Yeah, we saw the new Ram 1500, Chevy Silverado and Ford Ranger, but that's just scratching the surface. There are big trucks, little trucks, clean trucks, dirty trucks, old trucks, new trucks, red trucks, blue trucks. It's like a Dr. Seuss book. Anyway, we made a little video for you truck nuts (see what I did there?). Check it out above, and if you're looking for more serious coverage of the Detroit Auto Show, we've got it, along with a ton of images and other videos from the show floor. Enjoy! 2016 Chevy Camaro leaked on CNBC

Fri, May 15 2015

It seemed inevitable. Eventually some outlet would get access to fully uncovered pictures of the sixth-generation 2016 Chevrolet Camaro and let them loose early. Embargoes break. All. The. Time. And for this round, credit goes to CNBC's Squawk Box. The program, according to the GM Inside News forums, had been talking about the new Camaro "all morning," when it dropped a trio of images of the new muscle car. Consider this, then, our first full look at the 2016 Camaro, a car we detailed extensively earlier this morning. In general, the leaked images confirm much of what we discussed in that post regarding the car's looks – an evolved style, with a slim grille up front, a rounded tail, and a very short rear deck. Check out the leaked images, give our Camaro round-up a read, and strap in for tomorrow's big Camaro reveal.

2020 Chevy Tahoe High Country spied along with next-gen Escalade

Fri, Jun 7 2019

Have no fear, the big grilles are here. Or, at least we think they're coming. One of our spy shooters caught the next-gen Chevrolet Tahoe and Cadillac Escalade out testing with more of their fronts ends exposed than before. Starting with the Tahoe, we can see what amounts to a blinding amount of chrome under the wrappings. We're guessing this would be a new Tahoe High Country trim level, mirroring the range-topping trim level currently offered on the Silverado and Traverse. The Tahoe's current range topper is the Premier. Although the rather ornate details in the grille are not found on the current High Country trims, they also seem like something that would be available on the priciest Tahoe available. The same could be said of the LED lighting details visible under the camo as the Silverado High Country, shown below, does indeed have unique LED elements. The next-generation Cadillac Escalade only shows up in two of the photos. As we can't see shiny chrome reflecting through the camo, we're guessing the Escalade will adopt a blacked out grille similar those found on the XT6 and other Cadillacs. We can also see horizontal lighting elements similar to those on other recent Cadillacs. As this is an Escalade, however, we'd imagine everything will be supersized. GM will be ushering these trucks out soon, with the independent rear suspension being the big story. Besides the improved ride and handling, it should result in substantially improved cargo space and third-row legroom. Doing so would at least close the gap with the biggest Lincoln and Ford SUVs.
