2007 Chevy Express Box Truck with a 10 foot fiberglass box.

Truck was retired due to a bad 4L80E Transmission.

Truck has been sitting for a year but will start and run. It will not move forward or reverse at all.

I bought this truck for the motor. I had a Chevy 4500 wrecker that was a duramax and wanted it as back up. I traded that wrecker in and don't need this truck or motor.

It has decent tires both front and rear. These are not new. But would pass inspection here in VT. Truck body in is good condition with no accident damage or paint issues. The box itself has been been painted white recently. It was made to look like a present for a toy drive I did for hurricane sandy. You can still see the outline of the bow and stripes. No color bleeds through, but its still noticable up close if you look real hard.

The motor and reason I ever bought it, runs decent. It has 150,000+miles. These motors sell for thousands of dollars. I am going to list this auction starting at $2000. It is a no reserve auction, which means once its bid on, it will sell. I am putting a buy it now that is more then the starting bid, knowing that if someone wanted to put a transmission in this and clean it up a little, it would be worth paying a little more to secure the truck. These vans sell locally anywhere from $8-$12000 in working order.

Box Truck must be towed. The transmission does not move this truck at all. The transmission is the 4L80E, not the allison. It will take an allison from what I am told. But do your research.

This would make a great work truck if repaired, or a great parts truck for the motor. If you only want the motor, it can be pulled for a fee. But the auction runs the same. You buy the truck for the motor.

I have the original title from the original owner when bought new. He was the first and last person to ever drive the truck. It was maintained properly.

I expect a deposit at auctions end. This is to cover ebay fees and relisting if needed. I hate to relist when there were multiple bidders the first time.

Corvette + fireworks = so much glory

Fri, Jul 3 2015

You might think that those of us making our living by reviewing cars, think critically about the cars we're driving most of the time. It could be that I'm an underachiever, but that's not the case with me. In fact, unless I'm set to the review task, I typically think about the cars in front of and around me more frequently. That's because a) you never know what you're going to see out there, and b) all of them could be out to bump/scratch/tailgate/crash me out. You can never be too careful. Such was the case when I was driving a 2015 Chevy Corvette earlier this week. I'd already had my fun finding the edges of grip on a river road in the car, the night before; on the morning in question I was just trying to get to work. But while scanning the suburban streets for potential dangers to the 'Vette's neat-o Daytona Sunrise orange paint, I spied a XXL-sized fireworks tent in an empty parking lot. Oh right, I remembered, 4th of July weekend. That obvious bit of observation lead to a chain of thought along these lines: "We should do something with this car for the 4th" ... "Too bad I have to give it back tomorrow." ... "Wonder if I could do a quick video?" ... "Wonder if I can set off a bunch of fireworks in slow-mo for a video?" The result, well, I won't call it genius, but I will say that I remember why every kid loves fireworks. And I will call it glorious. Happy 4th, y'all.

2016 Lamborghini Huracan at the Horse Thief Mile | AutoblogVR

Tue, Sep 13 2016

AutoblogVR returns to the Horse Thief Mile in the Mojave Desert to put the Lamborghini Huracan to the test. It's everything we want a modern supercar to be: Powerful, striking in appearance, and a riot to drive. But does it live up to Lamborghini's unique performance heritage? Senior Editor Greg Migliore reviews the Huracan on Horse Thief's unyielding curves and elevation changes to find out. Meanwhile, Autoblog Editor-in-Chief Mike Austin reviews a different kind of performance car – the Chevy SS at the IndyCar circuit on Detroit's Belle Isle. He's ably assisted by ace driver Simon Pagenaud. You must watch his hot lap! The SS is old-school V8 American muscle wrapped in Australian design and engineering. This AutoblogVR segment also launches on the app Sept. 13, and the teaser follows the Huracan preview above. Each week, new episodes will launch on the AutoblogVR App. We'll preview them here on Autoblog, but for the full immersive experience, head over to the app, which you can download for free from the App store and Google Play. Be sure to try it with a cardboard viewer, too!
