Description:
Look! Up for sale is this 2004 Chevy Express 3500 in really good condition. The body is in excellent shape, minor scratches and few dents. The interior is also near flawless, except for a minor rip in the driver's side seat, not a biggie. The AC works great. The 6.0 engine runs smooth with no problems and starts right up. The transmission is great and feels smooth. The brakes have recently been replaced. The tires are good with about 90-80 percent thread. There is a divider between the cargo area and the driver area that locks up, the key is included. There are shelves in the cargo area. Do not miss this great van! The pictures pretty much say it all. GM recalling 70k Chevy Malibus, Pontiac G6s over steering issue
Sun, Feb 15 2015A problem with the power steering system in the Chevy Malibu and Pontiac G6 has prompted General Motors and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to issue a recall for an estimated 69,633 vehicles. The issue revolves around the electric power steering assist, which could suddenly fail and increase the risk of a crash, especially at low speeds where the power steering is most helpful. The recall affects 2006-2007 Chevy Malibu sedans and Malibu Maxx wagons (specifically those manufactured between April 1, 2006, and June 30, 2006), as well as the Pontiac G6 (which was offered as a sedan, coupe or convertible) from the same model years and manufactured from April 18, 2006, to June 30, 2006. Owners of the affected units can expect to hear from the manufacturer with instructions to bring in their vehicles to their local dealers to have the torque sensors in the power steering system replaced. RECALL Subject : Sudden Loss of Electric Power Steering , 1 INVESTIGATION(S) Report Receipt Date: FEB 04, 2015 NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V064000 Component(s): STEERING Potential Number of Units Affected: 69,633 Manufacturer: General Motors LLC SUMMARY: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2006-2007 Chevrolet Malibu and Malibu Maxx vehicles manufactured April 1, 2006, to June 30, 2006, and 2006-2007 Pontiac G6 vehicles manufactured April 18, 2006, to June 30, 2006. In the affected vehicles, there may be a sudden loss of electric power steering (EPS) assist that could occur at any time while driving. CONSEQUENCE: If power steering assist is lost, greater driver effort would be required to steer the vehicle at low speeds, increasing the risk of a crash. REMEDY: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the torque sensor assembly, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Chevy Bolt will go into production in Michigan in 2016 [UPDATE]
Fri, Feb 6 2015While nothing official has been announced, it appears that General Motors may actually put the all-electric Chevy Bolt into production next year. That's the rumor that Reuters is reporting, citing two sources at suppliers for the upcoming $30,000 EV (although that $30,000 number bears some scrutiny). This rumor does fit in with earlier comments that the Bolt would arrive on the market in 2017. If it gets built, the Bolt will share more than a similar-sounding name with the Chevy Volt: the EV will be put together in metro Detroit. Reuters says the 200-mile electric car (and an Opel version) will be made in "an underused small-car plant north of Detroit," which means the Orion Township plant. GM could make between 25,000 and 30,000 Bolts a year there, if what the suppliers are saying is true. We have asked GM for a statement on this story and will update it if we hear back. UPDATE: General Motors manager of electrification technology communications, Kevin Kelly, told AutoblogGreen that, "Bolt EV Concept is just that – a concept. We're currently evaluating the vehicle program, but do not have any production announcements to make at this time."
Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4
Wed, 29 May 2013Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!
