Up for sale is a 1976 Chevrolet Elcamino. This is a running, driving, shifting, stopping car. It has been on the road everyday and has a current WV state inspection sticker. You can buy this, drive it everyday and fix it up to what ever extent you want as time and cash is available. I owner this car about about 4 or 5 years ago and did some body work on it and its just now starting to show some minor places where its coming through so that tells you it wasn't serious if it took that long for it to resurface. It does have a few new spots that will need some attention soon but overall its pretty good. The doors are fairly solid inside but the pics show some repair on the inside of them, nothing major. Inside the bed is very solid with only one dent worth mentioning. The bumpers are everyday driver quality, not real nice but useable. The front one has a slight twist on one corner but it can be straightened, think theres a pic of it. The chrome is fair on it. The body shows some orange paint under some parts etc, think it was kind of being cut in for a complete orange paint job. The passenger front floorpan is bad and the others are soft but still there intact, RF is the only one needing repaired soon as it has large holes in it. The frame is good. The interior has a very nice bench seat, door panels are driver quality, passenger side is better than drivers. Dash pad has a hard cover on it which fits great. The carpet is worn and faded but all there. There is a Sony CD player and some aftermarket gauges also. The windows are manual but it has power locks. All the lights work but for some reason the heater does not blow, not sure why. This is a AC car but someone removes the compressor and lines from under the hood. Don't think any lines were cut. The engine in this Elcamino is a 350 and a 350 turbo trans. The engine runs great with no noise whatsoever and the trans shifts great. The wheels are pretty sharp and look great on this car, they are in great condition. The front tires have some small dry rotting cracks on the side wall but they have decent tread. They have been on the road so guess they are ok to run awhile yet. The rears aren't to good and will have to be replaced soon. The car also has dual exhaust with what sounds like glass pack mufflers on it, has a good sound for glass packs. That's all I know to tell you about this great Elcamino so email your questions about anything I may have missed. Remember guys this car has been on the road lately and the inspection is up to date. This car needs a little TLC to be real nice but its good the way it is. You can completely go through it or just drive it as it is. Its not everyday you find a Elcamino that you can get in and drive down the road for this price so don't miss out. Thanks for reading my novel and good luck should you decide to bid on this great Elcamino. Checkout my feedback guys as its well over 500 and all positive so rest assure your dealing with an honest ebayer. You don't get great feedback like that if you lie and cheat people, I tell it like it is. Also delivery is possible on this Elcamino depending on your location. It can stay here awhile while waiting to be picked up or shipped as long as its paid for according to the auction. I reserve the right to end the auction early as its advertised for sale locally also. If you have less than 10 positive feedback you must contact me before bidding to assure me you will follow through with the transaction shoud you be the winning bidder. Thanks and good luck!!!!

2016 Chevrolet Camaro powers up, slims down
Sat, May 16 2015Don't be fooled by its familiar appearance, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is vastly different than its iconic predecessors. It has a new chassis, a fresh engine lineup, and is loaded with clever technologies that promise to invigorate and improve the sixth generation of Chevy's legendary sports car. It was revealed Saturday before a crowd of enthusiastic Camaro revelers on Belle Isle in Detroit. Redesigning the sports coupe was a heady task, especially as its archrivals, the Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger, drive better and are more powerful than ever. But the new Camaro is aiming to be the best combination of handling and raw performance, with quick acceleration and competitive fuel economy. "Redesigning the Camaro is thrilling and challenging all at once, but the secret is to offer something more," Mark Reuss, General Motors executive vice president of product development, said in a statement. It all began with a weight-loss plan. The new Camaro shed more than 200 pounds compared with the outgoing car, with 133 pounds coming from a lighter body-in-white. Then engineers culled weight nearly everywhere, using aluminum for the instrumental panel frame and some suspension components to trim as much fat as possible. The slimmer body rests on new bones. The Camaro's rear-wheel-drive platform is lighter and stiffer in a bid to improve handling. It's a modified version of the underpinnings used by the Cadillac ATS, though about 70 percent of the architecture is unique to the Camaro. Chevy said structural rigidity is improved by 28 percent. As you'll see, healthy doses of Cadillac and Corvette technologies have been used to bolster the Camaro's drive character and performance. The new car is also expected to handle better thanks to a slightly smaller footprint. It is about two inches shorter in length, with most of that due to the more compact wheelbase. It's also an inch shorter in height and an inch slimmer in width. So yes, the Camaro will be leaner, but it will still be plenty mean. The Camaro SS tops the range (for now) with the Corvette's 6.2-liter V8 pushing put 455 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque. Known as the LT1, is has a cast aluminum block and cast aluminum cylinder heads, and it's fortified with direct injection, variable valve timing, and cylinder deactivation. About 20 percent of the engine's parts are said to be unique to the Camaro, including the exhaust manifolds.
Hagerty kicks back with Ringbrothers for a look at the Recoil
Sat, May 2 2015Over the years, Ringbrothers has shown the ability to mix a meticulous eye for style and serious amounts of horsepower with customs like the Pantera-based Adrnln. The company's recent project, a tuned 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle called Recoil, is some of its best work yet and already has Jay Leno's denim-clad stamp of approval. Now, Hagerty is taking a look, while digging into the history of the actual Ring brothers: Mike and Jim. The two guys grew up in a small town where owning a car was practically a necessity, and the brothers were already wrenching before they could even legally drive. Eventually, that passion grew into a business, which led to wonderfully customized performance vehicles like the Recoil. Hagerty gets a fascinating look into Ringbrothers tuning philosophy in its interview. Of course, the real interest lies in this custom Chevelle, and there's a chance to hear the absolutely ferocious sound from the Recoil's supercharged V8 in this clip.
2016 Chevrolet Volt First Drive
Fri, Oct 2 2015There's a hit vehicle hiding in GM's formula for the Chevy Volt. You can sense it in the enthusiasm that current Volt drivers have for their cars. You can see it in the amount of money GM has poured into its extended-range electric vehicle project. And perhaps most importantly, you can feel it from the driver's seat of the new, second-gen model. The big question is whether or not GM will be able to turn its much-hyped 'halo car' into a best-seller this time around. After driving it in northern California, I can tell you that the Volt is tremendous. But we all know it takes more than that to create a hit. GM has so far sold over 82,000 Volts in the US. That's respectable, but in the early, glory days before the car launched, company representatives were talking about much more impressive numbers. With a few years to talk to customers and potential prospects, GM has learned a lot about what makes someone buy a Volt. For the 2016 model, Chevy has changed just about everything for the better. The new Volt has more all-electric range (53 miles vs. 38 in the first generation), is more fuel efficient whether you're looking at the overall value (106 combined MPGe vs. 98) or just when the car burns gas (42 miles per gallon vs. 37). All of that means that the car's overall range is bumped up to 420 miles, from 380. The battery is smaller and lighter while offering more energy capacity. The range-extending gas engine is bigger (1.5 liters vs. 1.4) but it's also more efficient and can burn regular gasoline instead of just premium. The Volt's overall range is bumped up to 420 miles, from 380. The cost is lower, too: $33,995 vs. $34,170, before incentives. This is a car that GM thinks will compete against the Toyota Priuses and Nissan Leafs of the world (as its new ads make abundantly clear). All three cars have completely different powertrains, but we all know that they're the headline green cars of our time (along with Tesla), so buyers will have to want to pony up a bit more money if they like what the Volt is offering. The 2016 Leaf with its 107-mile range starts at $37,640 (before incentives), while a 2015 Prius can be had for $25,035 (pricing for the 2016 has not yet been announced). So, on paper, the new Volt is an all-around winner. I'm here to tell you that it wins on the road, too. You can't help but notice the changes. They are literally front and center.
