1970 El Camino, 4-Speed Muncie, HP 350 4-Bolt Main. Camel Hump 202 Heads. Power steering, power disc brakes and straight as a laser!!!I picked this beautiful El Camino up several years ago for my daughter, 14 at the time and now she is not all that in love with it. She is much happier with the 2013 SS Camaro than the El Camino.Since we have owned it, we may have put only 200 miles on it in the past 4 years. We have only taken it to a few shows and a couple sunday drives. Other than that, it has been stored in the garage. This El Camino was fully restored when I bought it for $14,000. This is one of the nicest I have seen and thats why I purchased this one. I'm sure the pictures will speak for themselves. This El Camino drives great and is not lacking any power what so ever!!! The motor and transmission do not have much time on them and I have tons of paperwork for this car. . I really dont know what else to say about this El Camino that the pictures won't say. Please feel free to ask any questions. This is a turn key vehicle with no problems or concerns. Oh, also, this was a Flordia Car nick named "The Gator. That is why there is an alagator head in the car and stickers on the window. My daughrter bought that large gator head when we went to New Orleans. We would set it on the air cleaner when we took the car to the car shows. Also if you notice, she put a couple girl type stickers on the window since it was her car. I didnt mind because any time your daughter shows interest in hot rods with dad, that was a great thing. Dads with daughters can understand that. She said she wants keep the gator head as there are just to many memories tied to it... There is also a matching spare tire and wheel and many spare pieces and parts that were left with the car when it was done years ago. I really like the bed cover because all the others that you see around, people have put snaps around the bed and in my opinion destroys the bed and is a great spot for rust to start. I would just like to stress that this El Camino runs and drives like a dream. The motor is far from stock with some old school 202 camel hump heads. Seems to run really good on 91 octain pump gas. Please look at all the pictures very close to the detail and you will see what a beautiful car this is. Feel free to call me also if you need to. 303-513-1767 Mike I have owned this car for 4 years and have only put a couple hundred miles on it just with a few car shows and a few sunday drives. Always been in the garage and have never had any problems what so ever!!!

Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon get updated tachometers due to graphical error
Sun, Feb 8 2015After James Bearing bought a Chevrolet Colorado, he noticed a discrepancy between the truck's spec sheet and the truck's tachometer: Chevrolet said 3.6-liter V6 in the little pickup produces 305 horsepower at 6,800 rpm, but the the tachometer indicates a redline at 6,500 rpm. So either he wasn't making as much power as he was promised, or the tachometer display was incorrect. Bearing said he asked Chevy about it but got no response. Until now. A General Motors spokesman said the rev limiter is indeed set for 6,800 rpm, but the tach graphics "are slightly off" in the Colorado and the GMC Canyon, and submitted an SAE horsepower certification to back him up. If you're wondering how such a thing got past quality control... well, let's just say you're not alone. GM is going to fix "the graphics on future trucks," which makes it sound like Bearing will just have to learn to live with the indicated redline he's got. He could always pretend he's driving a sleeper, with four more ponies waiting to be unlocked in the danger zone for those who dare. The Volt Dance had precedent; meet the Chevy Footlockers
Sun, Dec 14 2014Marketing in the auto industry can get weird sometimes – really quite bizarre, in fact. For example, remember the Chevy Volt dance from the 2009 Los Angles Auto Show? If not, a group boogied to a song about the electric car, and it was every bit as awkward (and hilarious) as that sounds. In fact, that innocent bit of promotion lives in infamy, as some pundits grabbed hold of it during General Motors' bailout and asked why America's tax dollars were going to such things. The Chicago Auto Show has been digging through its vault of vintage videos, and it has come up with something that might actually be worse than that Volt-themed routine. They're called the Chevy Footlockers, and they're a dance troupe somehow promoting the Cavalier at the 1988 Chicago show. The connection between the car and their routine is unclear, but it's gloriously cheesy in a Chippendales-meets-AC Slater sort of way. Also, there are props towards the end, but we aren't going to spoil them for you, because you just have to watch for yourself. As a bonus, there's another (brief) clip below showing a female dance group with the Geo Tracker at the '91 Chicago show, and they sing, too. Scroll down to watch both of these oddities. It's time for Corvette to attack Porsche
Fri, Jun 26 2015For most of its existence, Porsche was a smug little sports car company with a fairly limited lineup and small but steady sales. Any time the company strayed from its air-cooled, rear engine formula, the purists would turn their noses. The 944? The 948? "Not a proper Porsche," they'd sniff. And then came the greatest sin of them all: the Cayenne. To the purists, this was treason. Porsche making an SUV? Horrors! Of course, you all know how it turned out. Porsche grew to be a profit-generating juggernaut within the Volkswagen Group. And since one SUV wasn't enough they added another, the Macan. By the end of the decade Porsche will have quadrupled its global sales. You have to wonder what else it has up its sleeve. Couldn't this be a lesson for General Motors? It has a terrific sports car brand in Corvette. In fact, it's arguably the most iconic brand within GM's full-line portfolio. But for its entire existence that brand has been locked up within Chevrolet. Maybe it's time for GM to treat Corvette as a stand-alone company. Maybe it's time for GM to unlock that brand and treat Corvette as a stand-alone company. A Corvette SUV could be a killer first step. Since Porsche only makes two SUVs, maybe Corvette could make three. Small, medium, and large. And just as Porsche has the Panamera, an executive sedan from team Corvette could become an instant "gotta-have" for the yacht-buying jet set. Of course, the Corvette purists will cringe. And the biggest hue and cry will come from Chevrolet's US dealers. That's why the best place to launch the new Corvette brand would be far away from those franchisees: in China. Chinese consumers have no pre-conceived ideas that 'Vettes can only be sold in Chevy stores. And Chinese enthusiasts very much admire Corvette's historic pedigree. You've no doubt read about how Chinese authorities are cracking down on conspicuous consumption. That makes the timing even better. Corvette's selling point has always been that it is an amazing bargain for the performance you get. What a perfect way to undercut Porsche. In fact, pairing the Corvette brand with Cadillac in China could be just the shot in the arm that Cadillac's Chinese dealers need. Despite having very competitive cars, Cadillac lags far behind Audi, Mercedes, and BMW. What Cadillac dealers need is a lot more showroom traffic. And a jaw dropping lineup of Corvette-branded vehicles could bring in throngs of buyers.
