Full March billet serpentine belts and pulley system as well as a March billet powersteering pump. Electric fuel pump, twin electric cooling fans, complete Hotchkis suspension- sway bars, coils, air bags in rear, adjustable rear upper and lower
eaton 3:73 gears, 12 bolt posi, Front power disc and rear drums with a vacuum reserve tank.

Car was painted 8 years ago but only a few chips and some slight bubbling (on lower front fender and corner of door)  you look for! I'd rate paint a solid 8, its PPG deep amethyst pearl, which looks like Fathom blue on deary days but on sunny days the pearl flashes a brilliant violet purple... PPL always comment on color! Bed has a textured roll-on liner that was painted same color as car.  No rust or rot, frame is rock solid, panels are straight, all bright work shines as almost new. Owner before me had new quarters and paint done. He choose to shave marker lights and "SS" badging to give it a sleeper look. He had the car for 23 years, I've had it for 5, no fire sale here I just bought a 3rd classic and can't drive them all.
Car has rally wheels with Mickey thompson street drag radials out back. Polished billet piston assist hood hinges, chrome, billet and stainless everywhere. ALL glass was replaced and had a light tint added prior to when I bought car.

CHEVELLE / MALIBU 2 dr sport coupe:
66K original miles, ALL numbers matching 327Ci 4brl,, powerglide w/ black bench seat Int. Factory A/C, power steering, manual drum brakes. All rubber seals and gaskets and window felts replaced when re-painted. Not a lot to say, it's a rock solid stock car my wife drove to the shows while I drove the Camino. I wanted to keep this one and save it .as I hate the idea of it becoming someone';s clone down the road. The color is island teal, and is a 2 stage paint now. The pic's will tell you more then I can. ANY questions, ASK!

Note: El Camino ss
I wish I had chosen a lower TQ converter as it being a stroker the power is there from idle. New headers didn't take heat paint well, large oil filter blocked by headers. Two choices, 1) relocation of filter, which I have kit and comes with car, or 2) short filter.
Elky is 98% done in my eyes, the personal touches you may want can still be added. Oh it runs on pump gas, engine has maybe 400 miles never tracked just local shows and cruising on weekends.  always used Zaino wax system, great stuff!

Note: Chevelle
When re-painted they sprayed underside with rustolem, it has peeled and I didn't respray so new owner can SEE how solid it is and no patches hidden under coating. 95% of car is as from factory, I did replace rear shelf where speaker holes were hacked in, Begore I got car the air cleaner and valve covers were changed. AC cold use a retro fit to 134A, compressor does engage. interior being almost 46 yrs old, the seat has 1 tiny seam pull at top edge and driver's seat low mid seat seam has a 2" separation, can be fixed! the rest of interior is mint, color draws attention asking if its a factory color, it is.

Car has its share of trophies and shows VERY well, Has taken 1st 3 yrs at El Camino / Chevelle regional's (1964-1972 stock-modified diversion)

Pics and what I've mentioned are to my best knowledge, I tried to be straight up and honest, I hope someone will enjoy this car for many years. P.S. cluster was changed at some point, actual mileage unknown, DMV miss labeled miles as 608,xxx because the "tenths" of a mile was listed.

Feel free to inquire if you have questions!

I reserve the right to end auction early

GM drops diesel engines for 2020 Chevy Equinox and GMC Terrain crossovers

Fri, Jul 12 2019

GM is officially discontinuing the diesel engine in the Chevy Equinox and GMC Terrain for the 2020 model year. The 1.6-liter turbodiesel was always an oddball of an engine in the compact crossover segment, and now the experiment has come to an end. The Car Connection initially reported the news, and a GMC spokesperson, Stuart Fowle, confirmed it to us this morning.  “A huge majority of our Terrain customers have opted for one of our two gas engines," says Fowle. We canÂ’t say this eventuality comes as a massive surprise, as we saw news from couple of months ago that GM was dropping all-wheel drive from the diesel-powered cars for 2020. Low demand was cited as the reason for that cull, and itÂ’s the same for the little GM crossovers this time around, too. These vehicles were the only ones powered with a diesel engine in their class, but thatÂ’s going to be changing. Just as GM is going away from the diesel, Mazda is finally bringing its diesel to market in the CX-5. YouÂ’ll only be able to get that engine in the most expensive ($42,045) trim level, combined with all-wheel drive, though. The cheapest Equinox diesel starts at a comparably low $30,795. ThatÂ’s a $2,400 upcharge over the base 1.5-liter turbo four-cylinder, and the value is questionable. Mileage is better, but diesel fuel is more expensive. Towing capability didnÂ’t increase over the base engineÂ’s 1,500-pound capacity, but the extra torque around town was nice. As diesels go in the U.S., this one was rather rough and noisy, possibly contributing to some turning their noses up after a test drive. Perhaps another reason for its demise was that the much quicker 2.0-liter turbo Equinox was only $100 more than the diesel. This engine offered significantly better towing at 3,500 pounds, too. You can read all about what we thought of the diesel in our first drive review here, but the 2019 model year is the last one if you had it on your shortlist. Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
