This is my dream car, but change in marital status makes me have to sell. This is a numbers matching first edition SS El Camino. Body restored professionaly approx. 3 years ago and painted back to the original "Harvest Gold" coler. Inetrion is about 80% complete and the engine has been refreshed, I added headers and a little hotter cam. This car is a great collector and so close to being finished it really pains me to sell. This car isnt perfect but it could be. The trim is original, most has been polished but the bumpers need to be re-chromed. The seat and headlines has been redone but the dash needs to be finished. I have not updated the brakes but have upgraded the exhaust and suspension. All the glass is good and the door locks work. I have nothing to hide with this ELKY so feel free to ask questions. Chevy confirms Corvette Stingray Convertible for Geneva
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Want proof that General Motors has increased global ambitions for its 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray? It's staging the world premiere of the model's convertible variant at the Geneva Motor Show early next month.
As previously rumored, the droptop rendered above will debut at the Swiss show, making its first appearance anywhere on March 5. According to Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet, the location makes sense because Corvette "...is an icon that has long been recognized and admired even in countries where it's never officially been offered."
While neither Chevrolet nor the Corvette has a major sales presence in Switzerland, the Bowtie's European headquarters is located in Zurich (about three hours to the northeast of Geneva) and GM has made it clear that it wants to build the Chevrolet brand up across Europe.

Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues
Wed, 28 Dec 2011'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
