1959 Chevrolet Chevy El Camino. Elcamino on 2040-cars
Wichita, Kansas, United States
This is a great starter project I believe the engine is a 283 it has power steering automatic transmission. it runs but needs brake work to drive. The Pontiac front clip is not actually mounted. it was just sitting on the car. as you can see in the pictures to use this clip you will have to alter the wheelbase or length of the front clip. We are putting the Chevy front clip back on before the auction ends. I believe all of the bed/fin trim is there missing the grille and the side moldings that go from front to rear. I have a 1964 mercury grill that would fit nicely for $50 The floors are a bit soft but not gone. I have pics of the rust through spots the bed has rust in the front and in the back. see pics for other rust areas. it has a funky late model front seat. There is a local guy with a hardtop seat he will sell for 100 needs covered but a good seat base. I will take 100 off of the sell if I keep the Pontiac front clip. the Pontiac clip does have some fairly large hail dents. The impala trim on the roof is not mounted it is just sitting there it looks cool but needs tabs.doors open and close smooth no rust in the door bottoms. needs driver door glass. front and rear glasses are in good shape with the exception of wiper marks. there are minor dents and dings but no collision damage This is a no reserve auction and no I will not end auction early please do not ask it isn't fair to other ebayers. I am willing to do the brake work and make it a driving functional vehicle for an extra cost of parts plus Labor @ 25hr it has new plug wires and points. 2 barrel carburetor works fine. This elcamino is really not too rusty like most i have seen. This was going to be my shop truck but other projects are needing funding. I can assist with loading or maybe even transporting depending on cost. I have the title in hand Call for more info 316-807-5372.

Final C6 Corvette built in Bowling Green
Fri, 01 Mar 2013With all of the attention given to the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray lately, you could be forgiven for thinking that it's already well along in production, yet tooling up for the new C7 has only just begun. In fact, production of the outgoing C6 generation in Bowling Green, Kentucky just halted on Thursday.
As the C6 has aged, production numbers have predictably ebbed along with demand, but this year, the addition of the 427 and 60th anniversary models resulted in an uptick in vehicles built - this, despite a model year shortened by around 25 percent to accomodate the new model changeover. The final C6 Corvette ever, No. 13,466 built this year, was a white 427 Convertible destined for the General Motors Heritage Center museum. The car's 7.0-liter V8 heart was assembled by Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter himself.
In total, Bowling Green pushed out 215,100 C6 Corvettes over nine years. If you're still a C6 fan at heart and are hoping to get a good deal on a phase-out model, step lively - Chevrolet reportedly had about 6,100 unsold units, which Autoweek suggests is good for around five and a half months of supply at the model's current sales rates. Given that demand will likely slacken even further as the C7 draws closer, that should be a big enough stockpile to keep dealers satisfied until 2014 Stingrays begin showing up on their forecourts in December.
