1936 Dodge Ratrod Pickup on 2040-cars
El Reno, Oklahoma, United States
|
This is a 1936 Dodge Ratrod Pickup. This would be a very good classic streetrod project for someone to complete. This would make a very sharp and neat looking pickup. Much work has been done, but there is still work needed to finish the vehicle. This was originally a 1936 Plymouth Two Door Sedan and has been made into a pickup. The advantage of this is there is more leg room and more room inside the pickup. This vehicle is setup on a 1987 Toyota Pickup frame. The cab and front end fenders and radiator and front cowl are properly mounted to frame. There are custom motor mounts attached to inside of frame in the engine compartment area that will accomodate a 350 V8 small block Chevrolet Engine. The pickup has a 350 V8 small block engine and 350 Turbo Chevrolet automatic transmission setup in it. Front end includes disc brakes and is all intact and functional. Rearend differential is all intact and functional. Pickup frame rolls and is in good working condition. The hood for the front end of the pickup is in nice shape. The hood will need to be trimmed some to fit the front end correctly, due to where the front fenders and cowl are set to properly accomodate later model frame, cab, location of engine, and such. The hood fits nicely except for being a little too long from front to back. Interior floor of pickup is in good shape and new metal has been welded in place to repair floor. There are extra parts inside the pickup, that are being sold with the pickup. These parts include: a fuel tank which is in good conditon, two later model steering columns, a set of fiberglass running boards that are in good condition, two headlight buckets and pedistals, a set of two bucket seats from a mini van, and a few other parts. The pickup has a new front and rear windshield. There is not title for the vehicle, but the VIN plate is intact and mounted inside the passenger's side door jamb. I will gladly include a bill of sale to the buyer of the vehicle if requested. This pickup is being sold as is. Delivery and/or shipment, and all costs involved, is the buyers resposibility. Payment and arrangement of delivery or shipment must be made by the buyer along with the sale of the vehicle. I will not be responsible for sending any payment for delivery or shipment of the vehicle to the shipper or carrier, without having valid funds in hand before doing so. I will gladly assist in loading of the pickup for shipping or delivery to the buyer. Please send an email through ebay, regarding any questions you may have. Please feel free to make an offer. Price is negotiable. |

Mother's Day Suggestion No. 2,506
Thu, 02 May 2013With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. Scroll down for the video, but know that the action really gets going at around the 1:40 mark.
Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes
Tue, 28 Aug 2012
Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.
Chevrolet Silverado reportedly getting the GMC Sierra's MultiPro tailgate
Mon, Aug 17 2020GMC reinvented the pickup tailgate when it added a six-way option named MultiPro to the current-generation Sierra it introduced in 2019. It kept this clever feature to itself as a way to differentiate the Sierra from the Chevrolet Silverado, but a recent report claims it will begin sharing it in the not-too-distant future. Enthusiast website GM Authority learned from anonymous sources familiar with Chevrolet's product plans that the Silverado will soon receive its own version of the MultiPro tailgate. It will be called either MultiFlex or Multi-Flex, a name Chevrolet has already trademarked, and it was initially scheduled to make its debut for the 2021 model year. Its arrival might be delayed until the 2022 model year due to the coronavirus pandemic, however. Chevrolet's Silverado and GMC's Sierra are nearly identical under the sheet metal, so adding the latter's six-way tailgate to the former will be a relatively straightforward and cost-effective process. Interestingly, GM Authority wrote engineers could add a seventh function to the tailgate, though it didn't reveal what they have in store. It's also not sure whether both trucks will get the new feature, or if it will exclusively be offered on the Chevrolet. 2022 will bring major updates to the Silverado and the Sierra, potentially including — as we've previously reported — an independent rear suspension. Interior upgrades will allegedly be part of the mid-cycle changes, too, but we still don't know if the Silverado will receive the tough carbon fiber cargo box available in the Sierra. In the meantime, motorists in the market for a Sierra will temporarily have fewer options to choose from. GMC has asked its dealers to stop taking orders for the regular- and double-cab variants of the truck, according to a separate report from GM Authority. Putting the slower-selling regular- and double-cab trucks on hiatus will allow dealers to build up their inventory of crew-cabs, which sell far better and are in relatively short supply. These restrictions will remain in effect until the 2021 model year, which starts on September 14 for double- and crew-cab models and on September 21 for regular-cab trucks. All three body styles will be available in 2021. Related Video:
