Super Nice 2005 Chevrolet Corvette Z51 Coupe Automatic Dsom Ultra Performance on 2040-cars
Houston, Texas, United States
This Auction is for a Very well maintained 2005 Chevy Corvette Z51 that I bought brand new in 2005. It is pretty much fully loaded at the time and it has been garaged keeped with very low milage and has been upgraded with the best performance parts avaiable including.
This car is a very a great find for someone who is into preformance cars or wants a ultra fast corvette that rides really well. All work is documented and has been done professionaly by either my perfomance shop or dealer. This car is extremley quick and should be bought by someone who knows how to drive and maintain a high performance cutom sports car. I will update the details as needed and answer any questions. Thank you for looking at my Auction and Good Luck Bidding ! On Apr-24-14 at 00:01:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Below is an Answer to some of the housepower and perfomance quistions that I have recieved, please let me know you you want me to send you a Dyno chart or any other information. Yes the car was dyno'd after the engine was put in and put out 475.7 RWHP and 466.6 of Torque on a Dyno Jet 248C at Motorsport Technologies. This is actual horsepower and not SAE corrected. Considering it is an automatic and the high stall that the horsepower from the engine is safely over 500 HP. When I got the engine I was not really trying to have the most horsepower but more usable power and torque from 3000 to 6500 RPM. The car was built to be a stock looking daily driver that is fun to drive with over 425 foot pounds of torque starting around 3500 RPM. I can tell you that this car has beaten other C6's heavily upgraded with superchargers with a lot more horsepower. In fact there was a time when I did not even waste my gas or danger with other cars as race bikes were more fun. The tires do break loose if you floor it going over 100MPH and it ran a 11.55 on the 1/4 mile with a 1.98 60ft time on all engine so it's a very fast car that looks, and for the most part sounds stock. Add some racing slicks and N20 spray and it would be close to a 10 sec. car no problem. Also there is a lot more horsepower that can be added if you change out the stock mufflers, add a larger CAM etc. But it drives like a dream the way it is and I have not changed anything on it since the engine was installed except for adding race main pulley to replace the stock one. It has driven stable with no issues for over 7 years and still takes my breath away !
Best of luck to the bidders.....

General Motors Recalls Nearly 780,000 Cars To Fix Deadly Problem
Thu, Feb 13 2014General Motors is recalling nearly 780,000 compact cars in North America because the engines can shut down unexpectedly and cause crashes. The company says six people have been killed in crashes related to the problem. The recall affects Chevrolet Cobalts and Pontiac G5s from the 2005 through 2007 model years. U.S. safety regulators say the weight of the key ring and rough roads can move the ignition switch out of the run position, cutting the engine and electricity. If that happens, air bags may not work. GM says there have been 22 crashes from the problem. All happened at high speeds. Dealers will replace the ignition switch for free. GM says owners should remove nonessential items from key rings until the problem is fixed. 2019 Toyota Avalon vs. full-size sedans: How they compare on paper
Mon, Apr 23 2018Full-size sedans aren't exactly in great demand at the moment, and at least one of the vehicles in this comparison has been rumored to be on the endangered species list. Yet, we've just had our first drive in the 2019 Toyota Avalon, and if anything has a chance of rejuvenating the segment a bit, it's an all-new version of what has long been the segment's benchmark. To see how the new Avalon compares, we've put together the below spreadsheet featuring the Avalon's primary apples-to-apples rivals, the Buick LaCrosse and Chevy Impala. We also included the Nissan Maxima, which is comparable in price, sales and non-luxury badge, and which offers the sort of increased driver engagement promised by the new Avalon XSE and Touring trim levels. We also included the outgoing Avalon for reference as well as that car's luxury cousin, the Lexus ES, which can definitely be cross-shopped with the luxuriously trimmed Avalon Limited. You can use our Compare Cars tool to create your own comparison, such as one featuring the rear-wheel-drive Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger or even Kia Stinger. Alright, enough chit chat. On to the spreadsheet. Performance and fuel economy The GM sedans may come standard with four cylinders, including a mild hybrid system in the LaCrosse, but puh-lease. The V6 is the name of the game in this segment, with outputs now surpassing the 300-horsepower mark. The LaCrosse is the horsepower and torque champ, though it also weighs a bit more than the new 2019 Avalon, so acceleration is likely to be comparable. The Impala weighs a lot more and has only a six-speed automatic, so despite having a wee bit more power, one should expect it to be pokier (not a good sign for a car rumored to be on the chopping block). One would expect the Maxima's 300 hp and lowest curb weight to result in the quickest acceleration, but then it's also strapped to a CVT, which despite being better than ever, is still a CVT. Things get worse for Chevy when you consider the Impala's base four-cylinder gets the same 25 mpg combined as the Avalon's V6 — once again a segment best. Now, should you really prioritize fuel economy, the 2019 Toyota Avalon Hybrid really stands out with a 43 mpg rating (or 44 with the base XLE trim) that bests the outgoing Avalon Hybrid. Honestly, after driving this new Hybrid, it actually seems like it would be the best bet for most buyers. There's sufficient power, and it only costs $1,000 more than the comparable V6 version.
2014 Chevrolet Silverado tows in new configurator, microsite
Mon, 21 Jan 2013Judging by your continued enthusiastic response to configurator notices, dear reader, you enjoy speccing out new cars as much as we do. Better still, there tends to be even more ways to personalize, configure and bloat theoretical MSRPs on full-size trucks as there are with more ordinary passenger cars. In addition to trim level, engine and transmission choices, truck buyers usually have to specify items like cab configuration, bed length, number of driven axles, tow packages, gear ratios and all sorts of bits and bobs.
That's why we're pleased to see the DIY specification utility for the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado come alive so soon after this week's Detroit Auto Show debut. While the configurator lacks pricing (General Motors hasn't announced numbers yet) and full options, you can still spec out your half-ton rig, and even print it out or email it to your friends. Beyond the configurator, the new model-specific site is pretty cool, too, with various videos and closer looks at the truck's new features.
The new Chevrolet pickup range won't be on dealer lots until sometime this summer, so whether you're a building contractor, an avid sportsman or just a guy or gal that loves full-size trucks, you might want to check out the link below to keep your appetite whetted. If you're more of a Sierra fan, well, it looks like you're going to have to wait a while - GMC hasn't updated its site yet.
