I'm listing this 1984 Corvette with about 100 miles on engine for a gentleman here in St. Petersburg, Florida. He's selling because of health issues, and purchased it with the intention in taking it to the next level, but plans never materialized.
The great thing about this Corvette is that the gauges where converted to analog. It has a carburetor so many of the electronics have been minimized. Also, it has a new rebuilt 350 engine (rods, heads, etc) and transmission (see receipts). New exhaust, battery, and fuel pump too. I drove the Corvette around town and it runs very well. Engine is strong, but brakes turn to the right a bit. I think because it's been sitting there for a while. Actually, what the car needs is a good run. The A/C works and it's cold, but was not blowing well. I think that flaps may be closed. Again, I think that after a good drive some of these issues may vanish away.
Cosmetically the car is not strong. The interior could benefit from a good cleaning, and some adjustments, like door locks, plastic trims, etc. The body has some cracks and spider cracks, some are obvious and some are less (see photos). The floor under the driver side has a missing broken piece (see photo). This could easily be fixed with fiberglass panel. The MPH, and gas gauges are not working, but the owner said that they were functional not too long ago, and that he will try fixing them before the new owner collects the vehicle. I forgot to take photos of the front seats but know that these are in good condition. I will try to go to the owner's house and shoot the seats and email them upon request!
In conclusion, this Corvette has lots of potential. The drivetrain is solid, so the rest can be improved with some vision. Again, please understand that this car will require some dedication to improve it cosmetically. Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions, and thanks for looking!
This is a NO RESERVE Listing: This is a great opportunity to buy a nice Corvette at a fabulous price! PLEASE...Serious eBay Members Only! If Not Sure How eBay Works Don’t Hesitate to Contact Me First!!
Required Deposit: A $500.00 deposit is due within 24 hours from the end of the auction and is payable through Pay Pal. The deposit is refundable ONLY in the event I failed to accurately describe the vehicle, OR if you uncover an issue that I wasn't aware of. I cannot accept balance through Pay Pal because Electronic Tracking is required to maintain Pay Pal Buyer/Seller Guarantees.
Payment of Balance: The balance is payable to the seller at the time you take possession of the vehicle. Payments can be made by personal check (upon clearance), cashiers checks (upon clearance) bank wire transfers, or good old fashion cash.
Taking Possession of The Vehicle: Our policy is that you take possession of the vehicle and finalize the transaction within 7 days. If you require additional time, please let me know so I can make the arrangements with the seller. Please note, that the Seller has possession of the vehicle, so it'll be picked up at the Seller's address. Although I've examined the title, it's also in the possession of the Seller and will be endorsed when the transaction is finalized.
Out of Town Buyers – Shipping the Vehicle: If you're an out-of-town buyer, full payment must be made prior to shipping. I'll be glad to assist buyers in making shipping arrangements and I can refer buyers to a trusted transportation company that I personally use, but all costs are buyer's responsibility.
Car History Reports: eBay no longer offers complementary car history reports since I transact such a quantity of sales. So, I leave it to the buyer to pull one if desired.
Warranties & Guarantees: As is customary, the vehicle is being sold “As Is,” and there are No Warranties or Guarantees offered.
Prior Sale of Vehicle: Keep in mind that I'm listing vehicles for others, and on a very rare occasion it happened that a seller changed his mind during the course of the auction. We ALL act in good faith, but an unforeseen circumstance can arise.... in two years of conducting eBay vehicle auctions and having sold hundreds of vehicles, this kind of thing happened once, but I wanted to mention this VERY REMOTE possibility right up-front.

ABOUT ME – The Listing Agent
My name is Jose I'm a Graphic Artist by profession and a car lover by choice...In fact, I worked my way through college doing mainly sports car restorations. Although I'm not a “master mechanic,” I know cars VERY well and have an eye for value. I'm not a “Car Dealer,” or a “Broker,” but I provide a valuable service to individuals who don't have the time or expertise to list their vehicles on e-Bay.
While I provide this service as a “Business,” I'm VERY particular about who I deal with, and I'm especially careful when it comes to the vehicle being sold. In fact, I reject vehicles that don’t meet my criteria, and this accounts for my success! I utilize an extensive “Check List,” on every vehicle. I personally check all the paperwork, inspect the vehicle (including paint, bodywork and engine) and finally test drive myself if applicable. While I do my best to uncover and disclose all possible issues relating to a vehicle, I always suggest that buyers have the vehicle inspected before finalizing a transaction.
As you can see, I've achieved good rating on eBay, so my major objective is to provide eBay members with complete satisfaction, and a fair deal! eBay members are the most important part of any transaction that I make, so my goal is to be as accurate as possible. If an issue does arise, I'll do my best to solve it. I believe that communication can solve any problem, so if you buy or bid on a vehicle that I've listed, and a problem arises, please talk to me before leaving any negative feedback! Communication is the Key to a GREAT Deal. Don't Hesitate to Contact Me at 727.522.2531

Watch the National Corvette Museum sinkhole being filled in by R/C cars
Sun, Jan 11 2015Okay, so not exactly cars, but Bobcats - but still quite cool. You might remember that the National Corvette Museum had that little divot that needed to be filled in. Turns out the construction firm of Scott, Murphy & Daniel doing the work is using two remote-controlled Bobcats to fill the sinkhole with "manufactured sand," which in this case is crushed limestone. It appears that the Bobcat company has offered remote operation since at least 2007 via a wireless transmitter that works up to 1,500 feet away. So yes, that means two SMD employees stand on the edge of the pit and flick joystick levers for hours at a time, one in charge of a Bobcat with a roller-compactor attachment, the other in charge of a Bobcat with a bucket. And that, to us, is a pretty good way to earn the daily bread. Check out the video above for the latest sinkhole update. The Chevrolet Bolt is headed to China as a Buick SUV
Thu, Jan 16 2020When spy photos of what appeared to be Chevrolet Bolt EV with some minor front- and rear-end updates circulated last week, Autoblog surmised that GM was working on some sort of Bolt-based vehicle — potentially a crossover — to be sold in China as a Buick. We may just have corroboration for that theory. On Thursday, Motor1.com spotted a story published earlier this week on the Chinese site Auto Home which claims that GM has applied to sell an all-electric SUV under the Velite 7 nameplate in China. There's little differentiating the Velite 7's exterior from the Bolt EV's, apart from bumpers, badges, and a little extra ground clearance. Up front, the bowtie is replaced by a round Buick badge, and the bumper picks up an almost Prius-like appearance thanks to contrasting vertical elements and a thin grille bleeding into the head lights to give it a full-width appearance. Chevy Bolt-based prototype View 16 Photos If the Chinese report is accurate, there is one significant difference under the skin. Per the application, the Buick crossover variant is to be powered by a 174-horsepower electric powertrain. That's down 26 horsepower from the Bolt EV's powertrain, and we can't help but think that a lifted Buick variant might just need every pony it can get. The needs of the Chinese market are unique, and we're certain GM knows what it's doing if these figures are accurate. We have no reason to believe Buick plans to sell the Velite 7 EV here in the States, though we expect an updated Chevy Bolt eventually, and we wouldn't be surprised if Buick brings something along shortly to fill the void left by the departure of the Regal sedan and its variants. Related Video:
1956 Corvette SR-2 factory racer profiled
Mon, Jan 19 2015The Chevrolet Corvette has earned its place as America's sports car, capable of taking on the best the world can throw at it. Much of that winning reputation was earned with victories on the track. Now, there was a chance to own an early piece of the nameplate's motorsport history in the form of a 1956 Corvette SR-2 racer, but some deep pockets were necessary to get it, with an estimate of $6.885 million. The story behind the SR-2 is fascinating. In 1956, famous General Motors designer Harley Earl's son was racing in a Ferrari. Obviously, that wasn't going to work given his father's position within the automaker, and Harley and Corvette engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov got to work on a faster racecar. Three were made. This one was reportedly the first, and for 1957 it also received a fuel-injected V8 making a claimed 331 horsepower and four-speed manual gearbox, according to "Corvette Mike," the owner and seller. The SR-2 went on display in Scottsdale, AZ appropriately timed to coincide with the big Barrett-Jackson auction there that wrapped up this weekend. The car wasn't part of that event; instead marque specialist Mike Vietro sold the racer as a private treaty sale. Company spokesperson Troy Worrell told Autoblog both the bids and identities of the bidders will remain undisclosed. The video above goes into even deeper detail about this rare, finned Vette or check out the car's full description for even more info.
