This is an immaculate 2005 Chevrolet Corvette black beauty. I had this car since new and am the only owner. This vehicle was purchased with every factory option: Z51 package, heated seats, heads up display, navigation, bose system, ventilated disc brakes, solid targa roof, power seats and more... everything!I brought this car personally to the Indiana Lingenfelter factory and had the twin turbo package installed at about 3500 miles. I have all the original chevy paperwork, sticker, 2 keys and all the lingenfelter paperwork as well.  This car has never been abused or tracked. It was in one curb rash accident that scuffed up the one rear rim. The rims have since been replaced with Z06 style rims. I just had four brand new Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 put on that have now less than 500 miles on them. The only reason I replaced the tires was to get a better ride on the vette. The car battery was just replaced as well. Oil changed twice a year, every year with Mobil One  Synthetic. Brakes are at 85 percent, clutch is at 90 percent. You will not find a better Corvette at this price. I have well over $90,000 invested in this car and it has only 10,412 miles on it. Always serviced at a Chevy Dealership and a well known local corvette center in Connecticut. Vehicle was gone through completely inside and out and is perfect. This is an unbeatable deal. The only reason I am selling this car is for remodeling work needed on my home. This car is immaculate inside and out. Absolutely no mechanical issues or any issues at all. Leather seats have always been treated with leather cleaner twice a year. Car was meticulously maintained and kept. This car will surpass all your expectations. This car dynoed at 551 hp to the rear tires and 549 foot pounds of torque. I have all the supporting documents. Has the chrome Lingenfelter badging on both sides and the Lingenfelter coil covers on the engine. Reserve the right to remove listing at any time due to vehicle listed locally for sale. This lingenfelter package alone cost $30,000. This car has always been in a heated garage and never seen rain or snow. This car also has the Lingenfelter hood ($1500) and inside turbo gauge ($400). All work completed by Lingenfelter and listed as follows: Lingenfelter Gen-2 twin turbo system

- Two Garrett true ball bearing turbochargers - liquid cooled and engine oil lubricated
- Lingenfelter turbo compressor housings & exhaust housings with integral waste gates
- Lingenfelter super high efficiency liquid to air chargecooler

Ford also working on 200-mile EV to compete with Bolt, Model 3

Fri, Mar 6 2015

The Chevrolet Bolt is on a lot of people's radars. You may have even noticed friends and colleagues who harbor very little interest in the automotive world, or anything labeled as "green," who have taken notice of a 200-mile electric vehicle coming out of Detroit. Mass appeal is the idea, after all. You can include Ford in the list of interested parties, in this case with the intention of taking direct aim at the Bolt – and, by proxy, the Tesla Model 3 – with an affordable, long-range EV of its own. Ford will unveil its own long-range EV, positioned to compete with Chevrolet, later this year, according to Automobile. Details are very scarce about Ford's plans, but we do know that the Bolt (or whatever the Chevy all-electric hatchback will end up being called) is expected to offer over 200 miles of driving between charges, with a sticker price around $30,000. The other major player, of course, is Tesla's smaller, more affordable sibling to the Model S. The Model 3, also slated to go on sale in 2017, should cost less than $40,000. While Tesla has established itself in the EV world, another long-range EV out of Detroit would win some customers from the California-based startup. For now, though, we'll just have to wait, as Ford remains tight-lipped about its plans for the car. Automobile predicts a possible unveiling at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, what with California's EV mandate being a driver of strategy for various automakers. Most can agree, though, that a larger field of options – while not ideal for backers of the Bolt or Model 3 – will only benefit the car-buying public. 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban and GMC Yukon all spied with production lights

Fri, Mar 22 2019

One of our spy photographers just caught a smattering of full-size GM SUVs out testing, including the Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban and GMC Yukon. Previous spy photos of the next-generation of these big GM SUVs have revealed that GM is going with an independent rear suspension design, and these shots confirm the news once again with our best look at the hardware yet. Check them out from the rear, lined up like ducks in a row to see the beefy control arms down there. This will undoubtedly give the big SUVs a more compliant ride, and should bring it back into touch with the refinement from the Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator. The new bits we get to see with these shots are production headlights and taillights that are shaping up to look pretty neat. Most distinguishable are the GMC Yukon's LED DRLs. These look a lot like the C-shaped LEDs outlining the headlights on the Sierra, but they have an extra LED strip on top of the C. The parts of the taillights that we can see look significantly different than that found on the Sierra, showing GM is planning on having a great deal of differentiation there. We can sort of see through the mesh covering the grille to what appears to be a classic horizontal bar style front opening. Chevy is predictably dialing the crazy LED strip design back for the Tahoe and Suburban. The parts that are lit up look a whole lot like the headlight fixtures on the 2019 Silverado. That truck uses a stack of lights with the actual headlights separated from the DRLs. We can see the same thing going on here, with the headlight up top and curved LED DRL strip sitting below. It's tough to say if the designs are exactly alike, but we expect to see an extremely Silverado-esque look once all the camouflage comes off. Chevrolet's taillight design differs from its donor truck like the GMC, showing off a curved, vertical series of LEDs out back. Once production lights start popping up like this, we know the vehicle is moving closer to its end game. A reveal sometime later this year could be in the cards for GM's next batch of full-size SUVs. It certainly needs them quick, as Ford rockets ahead with increased Expedition production announced earlier this week.

Impala SS vs. Marauder: Recalling Detroit’s muscle sedans

Thu, Apr 30 2020

Impala SS vs. Marauder — it was comparo that only really happened in theory. ChevyÂ’s muscle sedan ran from 1994-96, while MercuryÂ’s answer arrived in 2003 and only lasted until 2004. TheyÂ’re linked inextricably, as there were few options for powerful American sedans during that milquetoast period for enthusiasts. The debate was reignited recently among Autoblog editors when a pristine 1996 Chevy Impala SS with just 2,173 miles on the odometer hit the market on Bring a Trailer. Most of the staff favored the Impala for its sinister looks and said that it lived up to its billing as a legit muscle car. Nearly two-thirds of you agree. We ran an unscientific Twitter poll that generated 851 votes, 63.9 percent of which backed the Impala. Muscle sedans, take your pick: — Greg Migliore (@GregMigliore) April 14, 2020 Then and now enthusiasts felt the Impala was a more complete execution with guts. The Marauder, despite coming along later, felt more hacked together, according to prevailing sentiments. Why? On purpose and on paper theyÂ’re similar. The ImpalaÂ’s 5.7-liter LT1 V8 making 260 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque was impressive for a two-ton sedan in the mid-Â’90s. The Marauder was actually more powerful — its 4.6-liter V8 was rated at 302 hp and 318 lb-ft. The ImpalaÂ’s engine was also used in the C4 Corvette. The MarauderÂ’s mill was shared with the Mustang Mach 1. You can see why they resonated so deeply with Boomers longing for a bygone era and also captured the attention of coming-of-age Gen Xers. Car and DriverÂ’s staff gave the Marauder a lukewarm review back in ‘03, citing its solid handling and features, yet knocking the sedan for being slow off the line. In a Hemmings article appropriately called “Autopsy” from 2004, the ImpalaÂ’s stronger low-end torque and smooth shifting transmission earned praise, separating it from the more sluggish Mercury. All of this was captured in the carsÂ’ acceleration times, highlighting metrically the differences in their character. The Impala hit 60 miles per hour in 6.5 seconds, while the Marauder was a half-second slower, according to C/D testing. Other sites have them closer together, which reinforces the premise it really was the little things that separated these muscle cars. Both made the most of their genetics, riding on ancient platforms (FordÂ’s Panther and General MotorsÂ’ B-body) that preceded these cars by decades. Both had iconic names.
