2004 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 5.7l Commemorative Edition Manual on 2040-cars
Wickliffe, Ohio, United States

This car runs and looks great. With only 22,500 miles, it runs and drives like new. The tires are new as of last year and have less than 3,000 miles on them. Most of the pictures are from when I bought the car, but it has not change with the exception of about 2500 more miles. While I have owned this car it was stored over the winter and I tried pretty successfully not to drive in the rain. Please see the window sticker for what the car has on it or feel free to contact me. The major options include: Commemorative Package, 6 speed manual transmission, 12 disc cd changer, performance handling package and body side molding. All else was standard on the car. The car does have a loan on it presently, so we would need to work that out upon sale of the car. I have listed this car locally also and subject to cancelation without notice. My reason for selling is that I am down sizing everything in preparation for retirement. Thanks for viewing my auction. |

MotorWeek's 80's GM muscle coupe roundup includes Regal GN and Monte Carlo SS
Thu, Jan 29 2015Even with just four brands in the family, General Motors still represents a performance powerhouse. Between the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Camaro Z/28, Cadillac CTS-V and ATS-V, The General can still deliver plenty of thrills. The 1980s, though, saw the brand go even crazier with performance. While the Camaro and Corvette were still around back in the day, GM had a number of other interesting performance offerings. The Bowtie was complemented by the long-deceased Monte Carlo SS, while the now-defunct Pontiac and Oldsmobile offered the Grand Prix and thumping 442, respectively. And Buick, which isn't short on performance with its Regal GS and Verano Turbo, offered a much more serious vehicle, in the form of the Grand National (not to mention the Darth Vader-spec GNX). MotorWeek, in its hugely entertaining retro flashbacks, looks back on these three long-lost GM performance icons, and it's just as good as you might expect. GM follows Ford and Honda in skipping SEMA
Fri, May 20 2022The list of automakers skipping SEMA has become longer. First reported by Muscle Cars and Trucks, and confirmed to us by a company representative, General Motors will not have an official presence at the aftermarket show. It joins Ford and Honda in leaving the show. It will be a large hole in the show, with the GM brands typically filling a significant swath of available show space in one of the main halls. GM hasn't provided much explanation for the move, either. The GM representative provided Autoblog with the same statement that Muscle Cars and Trucks got: "GM has made the decision not to participate in the 2022 SEMA Show. The SEMA show has always inspired us, and accessories and performance parts remain an important part of our business." We also asked if we would see any sort of announcements around the time of the show — Ford said it has plans to share some things around that time — however, the GM representative said that the company has no immediate plans for announcements. Certainly things could change between now and the November show, though. SEMA had previously noted that other exhibitors would help fill in some of the space vacated by these major OEMs. Another OEM, Volkswagen, is returning to the show after an absence, which will also help with the display deficit.
