2004 Chevy Corvette Z06 currently with 42,101 miles, mostly highway. Comes with an extended drive-train warranty that is transferable and remains in effect until Mar 2016 or 80,000 miles, whichever comes first. I am willing to pay any fee required to transfer the warranty to the next owner. What can I say about this car....if you know what you are looking at, you basically already know how the car is equipped. 405HP with 6-spd manual trans, sliver body, black leather interior. Bose sound system. Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Factory chrome wheels. This car was from a Hendricks SC dealership and it was moved to their Largo, FL dealership, which is where I purchased it in Feb of 2013. I wanted a Florida car because they have no corrosion issues from winter climates. This car was absolutely SPOTLESS. It is so fast and powerful that I sometimes wonder if it is actually an all stock motor. The only reason why I am selling this beautiful car is to free up cash to put into a new business that my wife and I have started. When I drove this car home from Florida, I was amazed that it averaged over 28-1/2 mpg over a 1400 mile drive, even with the AC on the whole time. That is amazing gas mileage considering that this is a high performance car. The car is located at my home in northern NJ (Andover 07821). I paid almost $35K for this car only 19 months ago, so this is a good deal for whoever buys it. This a NO RESERVE auction, highest bid wins it. I require a deposit to be paid thru Paypal within 24 hrs of auction end. Balance to be paid in cash or bank transfer within 7 days. No international bidders or shipping. This a LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. If you are from out of state, YOU must make any needed arrangements to have the car shipped or picked up if need be. Car must be picked up within 14 days max. I am willing to deliver this car at no charge to anywhere within a 100 mile radius, but only after it has been paid in full FIRST. Buyer will not be unhappy with this great Corvette Z06.

Why does the Corvette Stingray have so many vents? Here's why

Sun, 27 Jan 2013

Just looking at the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, it's not hard to see that the car's design was created with aerodynamics at the forefront, but Chevrolet designers point out exactly what went into designing the iconic coupe in a pair of recently released videos. The videos show the Corvette going through early design phases, including clay models and wind tunnel tests, as well as talking to the car's chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
Both videos help explain various aspects of the C7 Corvette, but it's the aero tuning of the car that is most interesting. This includes extra attention paid to the lower air dam and vented hood to help reduce drag and lift, while the rear quarter inlets are for differential and transmission cooling. Juechter said that some of these aero-tuned elements were inspired from GM's involvement in racing.
If you have about five minutes and you can't get enough information about the new 'Vette, then check out the videos posted below.

Chevy Corvette Stingray "colorizer" lets you chase the rainbow

Thu, 14 Feb 2013

After you've convinced your better half to let you buy a new Corvette, then comes the hard part... actually figuring out which 'Vette you want. While Chevrolet has yet to release the official configurator for the 2014 Corvette Stingray, it did give us something else to kill some time playing around with.
The C7 Corvette "colorizer" recently went online, and it lets you look at the car in all of its available colors and wheel options from four different angles so that when this car does go on sale, you know exactly which one you want. It includes the Corvette's full pallet of colors including Torch Red, Laguna Blue and the hue you see above, Velocity Yellow. Toss in the black wheels, and we're sold. If you have some time this afternoon, be sure to check it out the Corvette colorizer for yourself, and even if you don't have the time, we've put together a gallery with all of the possible color combinations.

GM throttles back Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse production over swollen inventories

Wed, 06 Feb 2013

As inventory of the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse continues to pile up, General Motors will be idling its Fairfax Assembly Plant for two weeks, according to Automotive News. This move comes about a month after the plant was shut down for three weeks in late December and early January for the same reason. As of January 31, the GM had a 94-day supply of Malibu stock while the LaCrosse was a little worse with a 117-day supply.
Just last week, GM announced that it would be investing $600 million in upgrading this plant, but it's unclear what future plans the company has in store for Fairfax considering slow sales of both the plant's models. We do expect a refreshed and more luxurious LaCrosse shortly and an early design update for the Malibu to be announced at some point this year, although we have had no official word as to when either will happen.
