You are viewing low mileage, unmolested, 2002 Corvette Z06 in excellent condition! This vehicle has been adult driven and has been well maintained for the duration of the four year/18,000 mile period of ownership. I have only stored this vehicle in climate controlled environments. I am the fourth owner of this vehicle, having purchased this vehicle in South Carolina. I have exclusively driven this car in California and Texas. The car is currently registered in the state of Wisconsin, as I am a Military Officer and that is my home of record.

This vehicle is an extremely balanced performer that can be driven on a daily basis with incredible performance and excellent road manners. This vehicle is a capable of 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds and quarter mile times under 12 seconds according to the October 2004 Issue GM High-Performance Magazine, while capable of achieving 17 miles per gallon in the city / 26 miles per gallon on the highway according to fueleconomy.gov.
This vehicle comes very well-optioned from the factory. This vehicle has the upgraded LS6 5.7L V-8, modestly rated at 405 HP. The Z06 LS6 is mated to the altered/close-ratio M-12 six-speed transmission exclusive to the C5 Z06. This vehicle also maintains the factory original lightweight titanium cat-back exhaust .  This vehicle has the active handling option, catering to different driving situations that may require traction control, no traction control, and "competition mode" which offers ABS and altered suspension performance with no traction control. This vehicle is equipped with the Heads-up Display system or "HUD" that allows the driver to view customized information reflected on the windshield while driving, such as RPM, MPH, Oil Pressure, Temp, and Fuel Capacity in order to maximize driver's cognizance of vehicle's vital information while operating the vehicle.
This vehicle's interior is beautifully wrapped in black leather and is in excellent condition. With the exception of a small 3/8 inch split in the vinyl of the drivers-side windshield pillar (picture enclosed), the interior is in phenomenal condition and is very and comfortable for long trips as well as very accommodating for the driving enthusiast.
The exterior paint and condition of the exterior of the car are completely original and unmodified. This vehicle has had clay bar treatment twice during my four year ownership period and contains very few paint blemishes that would be expected from a twelve year old car. This vehicle does have two 1-inch scratches on the passenger's side rocker panel below the brake ducting. I did not  notice these scratches until my second week of ownership.  This vehicle was purchased with these scratches and  are barely visible to the average onlooker. I have provided pictures of the side profile of the car and close-up photos of the scratches.
This vehicle is currently priced to sell. Please do not let the lower than average price make you question the condition of this car.  I am fully prepared to speak to any questions the bidder may have regarding this car's history and current condition.  I am currently in the process of leaving the military with a two year-old boy and a daughter on the way.  This car has honorably served its purpose as my primary means of transportation and the family muscle car for the last four years and has reached a point of impracticality and utility for my family and I as we proceed into the future. Please let my situation benefit you and the ability to own this incredible vehicle at a more than reasonable price.
Buyer is responsible transfer/delivery of vehicle. Payment must be completed via cashiers check or cleared personal check in order to take possession of vehicle.

nuTonomy beats Uber to market with self-driving taxi rides, and the latest Corvette ZR1spy shots | Autoblog Minute

Sat, Aug 27 2016

Software developer nuTonomy beats Uber to market with self-driving taxi rides in Singapore. A 124 Coupe could soon join Fiat's roadster lineup, and we have the latest spy shots of the new Corvette ZR!. Senior Editor Greg Migliore reports on this edition of Autoblog Mintue. Senior Editor Greg Migliore reports on this edition of Autoblog Mintue. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Massachusetts based software company, nuTonomy, launched its self-driving taxi service in Singapore this week. nuTonomy specializes in developing software for self-driving cars. Testing of the companies ride-hailing smartphone app occurred in Singapore, where riders were able to book a free driverless ride. nuTonomy's robo-taxi fleet is comprised of Renault Zoes and Mitsubishi i-MiEVs. Engineers from nuTonomy were present at this public launch as a safety measure. [00:00:30] The company will now continue to collect data and conduct more testing with its self-driving cars in Singapore, Michigan and the United Kingdom. nuTonomy has plans to offer widely-available commercial service in Singapore in 2018. nuTonomy's aggressive play in Singapore has put Uber and its partner Volvo in the unlikely position of playing catch-up. Autocar reported this week that we should expect FCA to add a Coupe [00:01:00] to it's 124 roadster lineup. When? Well, seeing as the 124 Spider just recently made it US dealers we may have to wait until next year to see a hardtop Fiata. It's tough to predict what kind of performance we can expect out of a 124 Coupe but in the U.S. the Spider has 160hp using a 1.4-l turbocharged engine. So the car you see in these pictures is actually Fiat's 124 Rally car that will be used for competition. [00:01:30] Now that's not exactly how the street car will look but it gives you an idea of what a 124 with a fixed roof is gonna look like. This week we got another look at what we think is the Chevy Corvette ZR1 and its massive rear wing. Now to be clear, the images that we're seeing are actually demonstrations. The car was actually captured without the rear wing. However, our spy photographers photoshopped the wing, which we've seen before, on some of these new shots just so you could get [00:02:00] a sense of what the car looks like driving around in it's most recent state. Now we think this car will make more than 700hp, which is kind of a magic number. The Hellcats from Chrysler make 707 so certainly GM wants to beat them.

Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady gives Chevy Colorado to Malcolm Butler [w/poll]

Tue, Feb 3 2015

Winning the Super Bowl, we'd imagine, is pretty sweet. Winning the MVP award at the Super Bowl, even more so – for many reasons, among them that you get a brand new Chevy Colorado, packed full of, you know... technology and stuff. Of course this year's Most Valuable Player was none other than Tom Brady, the New England Patriots quaterback who was crowned Super Bowl MVP for the third time and lead the Pats to win the Super Bowl for the fourth time. He makes tens of millions every season, and Mrs. Brady (a.k.a. Gisele Bundchen) probably makes an extraordinarily pretty penny herself. So what does one of the most successful and wealthy players in NFL history need with a new pickup truck? Not a whole lot, apparently: the Boston Business Journal reports that he gave the truck to Malcolm Butler, the rookie cornerback who intercepted Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson's pass on the Patriots' one-yard line with only twenty seconds to go and sealed the victory for New England. Which strikes us as a fitting gesture, even if Brady did keep the MVP trophy for himself. Mustang, Camaro, Challenger gallop onto USPS pony car postage stamp set

Tue, Jul 19 2022

Some of America's most iconic cars are about to be immortalized on postage stamps. A new set by the U.S. Postal Service will celebrate the the golden era of pony cars, featuring five classic examples of Detroit iron. Each one is beautifully illustrated in oil-on-canvas style, with subjects in motion and sunlight glinting off the chrome, and would add a nice touch to any first-class letter. The pony car segment was all about (relatively) small, sporty alternatives to the full-size land yachts of the 1960s. They typically came equipped with 6-cylinder engines or small-block V8s. The category was named after the Ford Mustang, henceĀ  the name. Some, though, argue that the Plymouth Barracuda, which was launched a couple of weeks before the Mustang, is the first. Luckily, the Falcon-based Mustang's distinct styling generated a sales sensation, or we might be calling them fish cars. Appropriately, one of the featured cars is a Mustang. But it's not just any Mustang. The 1969 Boss 302, seen here resplendent in Bright Yellow, was created for the hotly-contested SCCA Trans-Am racing series. One of its main rivals would have been the 1969 Chevy Camaro Z/28, also created specifically for the series, and is included in the set in Fathom Green. Representing Auburn Hills in the set is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T in Plum Crazy, while Southfield's American Motors gets a nod with an AMC Javelin in Big Bad Orange. The Mustang's platform cousin, a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7, is portrayed in a gorgeous Burgundy Poly that almost looks incomplete without Neko Case on the hood. It's not the first time the USPS has honored America's rich car culture on its stamps. In 2013, it issues a series of muscle car stamps with the help of Richard Petty. That set featured a 1966 Pontiac GTO, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1970 Chevelle SS, 1970 Plymouth Hemi ’Cuda and, of course, a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. Another set in 2016 featured classic pickup trucks. Going further back, a 2008 release had chroed and finned automobiles of the 1950sĀ and a 2005 release featured sporty American cars of the same era. The pony car stamps will debut on August 25 at the Great American Stamp Show in Sacramento, California in partnership with theĀ American Philatelic Society. The public is free to attend the dedication ceremony, but you must RSVP first. After that, they will be available at local post offices and on line at the USPS store.
