My baby, 2002 Chevrolet C5
Corvette has just over 83,000 miles (7545 mi yr) and comes with several dealer
maintenance records that show my car has been properly maintained. Free Carfax vehicle history
report (see pics)-NO Accidents! I’m the 2nd non-smoking owner
(Carfax report shows a dealer between the first owner and me as a 3rd
owner). She starts and drives
perfectly, no rattles or noises. A/C is
cold and all controls/knobs work as they should. The interior with fully
powered driver and passenger seats and twin memory is in better shape than any
2002 car you’ll normally see and has the very convenient and safe adjustable Heads-Up-Display
projecting the gauges onto the windshield, enabling you to keep your eyes on
the road at all times. The Premium Bose audio
system with additional 12 CD disk changer in the rear sounds incredible. The 4 speed with overdrive automatic
transmission is powered by a very well maintained 350HP 5.7L V8 that is more powerful
than the day she was new and incredibly efficient on gas for a V8
getting**19MPG CITY**and**28MPG HWY**. I have used injector cleaner
in every tank of gas over the 6 years 8 months I’ve owned her. The exterior paint is the beautiful
and rare Magnetic Red Metallic and comes with two easy to take on and off Targa
tops, one painted and one smoke glass with secure storage of one in the rear. !NOW THIS IS WHAT SETS THIS CAR APART FROM ALL THE OTHER C5 CORVETTES!; The car has been lowered one
inch front and back. The stock rear 18x9.5” wheels
are in the front with 295/35ZR18 Toyo Proxes T1 R tires (No Rubbing). New 18x10.5” wheels are in
the back with huge 335/30ZR18 Toyo Proxes RA-1 tires (No Rubbing). The car handles and looks so
good, I get looks all the time! The original front wheels
come with the car and when I bought the new rear 335/30ZR18 Toyo Proxes RA1
tires, I bought two sets. The second set
are new/unwrapped and also come with the car worth over $1000. I replaced the stock intake
with a huge haltech intake and the stock intake also comes with the car. A top of the line car cover
and dash protector also comes with the car. She has been garage kept but
has been moved out, replaced with a Dodge Viper and is why I’m selling her. The only repairs I’ve had to
do to the car was replace the window regulators, replace the alternator, driver
side headlight plastic gear with a copper gear and replaced the battery, so now
you don’t have to! The only thing I haven’t
gotten around to doing is replace the oil pleasure sensor (doesn’t affect the
operation of the car). Also, occasionally
the handling light comes on but doesn’t affect the handling control and is only
intermittent. Come inspect and drive this car but look at others first so you see what a great car and deal this is!

C7 Corvette makes inaugural ad appearance in Chevy's first spot with new slogan
Mon, 11 Feb 2013Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" tagline has finally been run into the ground, replaced with the Bowtie brand's "Find New Roads" slogan that's part of parent General Motors' plan to unify its everyday brand's marketing efforts worldwide. The new Chevrolet campaign was ushered in on prime time last night during the Grammy Awards on CBS, and the first spot, a 90-second full-line ad, also marks the first appearance of the 2014 Corvette Stingray in a commercial.
Being a full-line ad, the commercial is composed of vignettes centered on different vehicles in the brand's lineup. The all-new 2014 Impala also makes its first commercial appearance in dapper fashion, and time is spent on a skateboarding Sonic and a bouquet of brightly colored Spark hatchbacks driven by fashionable women. The ad starts and ends with Chevy's green halo car, the Volt, along with a young girl with her robotic dog (yes, really).
Chevrolet's "Runs Deep" campaign got off to a rocky start in the fall of 2010, but it did last for a couple of years with some tweaks. This new one, "Find New Roads" seems more intent on drawing new customers into the fold than the outgoing tagline, which seemed to play more toward the brand faithful. It admittedly reminds us more than a little the short-lived "Find Your Own Road" Saab motto (which, we note, was conceived while the Swedish brand was under GM's control), but no matter, we still think it's got more long-term potential than "Runs Deep."
Use this PowerPoint when convincing your spouse to let you buy a Corvette
Thu, 14 Feb 2013When you are not the one in charge of the purse strings, creativity is a must when trying to get the string-holder to bankroll that next shiny object you just can't live without.
When I was a kid, I decided that life wasn't worth living if it weren't in pursuit of owning a GMC Typhoon. My 12-year-old self crafted a fiscal strategy that, when combined with my offer of a 49-percent share of ownership in the car in return for my parents' contribution of 80-percent of the purchase price, would see me behind the wheel of a Typhoon by the time I hit college. They walked away from the negotiating table and, the economic climate of the 8th grade being what it was at the time, another partner wasn't found before the Typhoon was discontinued.
Roy El-Rayes, however, has succeeded where 12-year-old me failed, and he did it by using the sort of professionalism that only a PowerPoint presentation can provide, along with some humor and bold-faced flattery.
2016 Chevy Volt to make auto show debut this season
Wed, Jul 30 2014Ever since we saw that spy shots of the 2016 Chevy Volt, we've been hungering for more information on the next-gen version of GM's green halo car. It appears we might not have long to wait, at least for an official tease. An inside source that wishes to remain anonymous told AutoblogGreen that GM will make two announcements regarding the second-gen Volt at the CAR Management Briefing Seminars in Traverse City, MI next week. The first, and most intriguing, is that that we will get our first glimpse of the new Volt at some point during the upcoming auto show season. That means either Los Angeles later this year or else Detroit, Chicago or New York in early 2015. The second bit of news is that GM will be moving production of the electric motors from Mexico to Michigan. Details and official confirmation are, of course, missing and Chevrolet declined comment to AutoblogGreen. We should know more next week.
