1984 Chevrolet Corvette Base Hatchback 2-door 5.7l on 2040-cars

Year:1984 Mileage:76558 Color: approx
Location:

Durango, Colorado, United States

Durango, Colorado, United States

Engine: Runs good (too fast for me); Needs new brake booster; slow transmission fluid leak; mileage = 76558

Upgraded exhaust - sounds pretty sweet

Exterior: Looks nice; approx 6” trim piece missing; minor blems in original paint on hood and minor chips in paint, large crack in glass roof panel, sealed and doesn’t leak, but should be replaced - I rarely drive it with roof; brand new performance tires

Interior: Expected fading in carpeting; seat upholstery in poor shape, but mechanics of them work okay; I think dash screen needs replaced because the info is only visible when wearing polarized lenses (a pair included with sale); has upgraded stereo with cd player (I have the og stereo for you also)

Comes with all original sales docs from 1984 and maintenance receipts.  My dad was the second owner and he gave it to me not long ago. It's too much car for me :)

It's a good car and with some love would be very sick.

New Bright creating exclusive 1:8 scale radio-controlled C7 Corvette

Mon, 04 Feb 2013

If you want a new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette but can't quite save up enough pennies for the monthly payment, we have good news for you. Toymaker New Bright has pulled the covers off of its 1:8 scale remote-controlled version of the American sports car. Complete with a very detailed interior and LED headlights, this large-scale R/C is as close as most of us will ever come to having one of the menacing Chevrolet models to call our very own. New Bright still hasn't released pricing or availability, but word has it the coupe should hit the market soon.
Right now, it appears as if the C7 will hit shelves in Torch Red, though we don't know if other colors are planned as well. The good news is that New Bright isn't exactly turning its back on the old C6 - representatives say the company will continue to make its popular C6R racecar for those who prefer round taillights.

First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild

Tue, 12 Feb 2013

This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit

Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
