This car has 24,400 orginal miles with orginal Brown metallic lacqure paint and Light beige interior. Paint is amazing for a 33 year old car. It has some road chips and front bumper paint is thin. Again this paint is amazing for factory paint. This car is 100% stock. Car was bought from orginal owner who bought it new in 1979 from Bast Chevrolet in Seaford New York.
Orginal owner retitled the car in 2001due to a divorce and did not know about actual miles on the title and got a title with exempt miles from the state of New York. So I can not document orginal miles. If you look at the pictures of this cars it is as orginal as they get. When I got the car it had the orginal hoses still on it. I replaced every rubber bushing in the rear and replaced the orginal radiator . Have orginal radiator. I replaced all front end compontents and bushings. New A/C delco shocks.
I put on the corvette valve covers and crome alternator. Have orginal parts. Interior is 100% complete no cracks with the orginal carpet, door panels, seats and steering wheel ( has a crack on top see picture). Car starts and drives like a 24,000 mile car. Mufflers had been replaced by previous owner. The rest of the exhust is factory.
Everything in the car work as it should cold Air conditioning, clock, Instrumentation, Seat belt reminder, Key buzzer, Alarm ect.
Previous owner did not save the window sticker and I tried to get out the tank build sheet but it was all beat up and in many pieces. I was unable to find a build sheet under the carpeting.
I do have some of the delivery paperwork see photos. This car was undercoated from the factory and has no rust what so every on the chassis or the bird cage. This car was also garaged from the day it was picked up and it shows. It still had the orginal brake calipers and pads from GM when I got it. I have since changed them to SS sleeved o ring calipers. This car is really unmolested and stock.
500 dollar deposit and remainder to be paid with wire transfer or bank check.
car is for sale locally and can be withdrawn at any time

Suzuki recalls 2 million cars globally
Wed, Apr 22 2015Suzuki is recalling two million vehicles across the globe, including a number of Chevrolet Cruze sedans that it builds for General Motors, because the ignition switches may begin to smoke. None of the Cruzes being recalled were sold in the US, though. This recall is limited to the Japanese, European and Australian markets. In Suzuki's home market, 1,873,000 vehicles are being recalled, including the Cruze and a number kei cars built for Mazda (the Carol and AZ-Wagon), as well as the automaker's own Alto, Wagon R and Swift. Affected vehicles were built between 1998 and 2009. The remaining 133,000 vehicles include Cruzes and other Suzuki products sold in Europe and Australia. There have been no reports of injuries or accidents due to the 67 reported incidents, all of which come from the Japanese market, a Suzuki spokesperson told Automotive News. Related Video:
GM extends production at Detroit factory until early 2020
Fri, Feb 22 2019General Motors Co said on Friday it had extended the production at its Detroit Hamtramck plant until January 2020, against an earlier plan to discontinue production in June this year. The No.1 U.S. automaker is revamping its operations, which include plant closures and thousands of job cuts, as it looks to boost profitability in the wake of declining U.S. auto sales. The Hamtramck plant will continue to produce the Chevrolet Impala and Cadillac CT6 sedans until early next year, the company said. "We are balancing production timing while continuing the availability of Cadillac advanced technology features currently included in the CT6-V — the Blackwing Twin-Turbo V-8 (engine) and Super Cruise (driver assistance system)," GM said. The plant has already discontinued production of the Buick LaCrosse sedan and Chevrolet Volt electric hybrid car. Detroit-based union United Auto Workers' President Gary Jones said GM's decision to continue production at the plant was a relief for the workers as well as their families. "We commend GM for today's decision and we reiterate the importance of a collective bargaining process in times like these," Jones said. Reporting by Ankit Ajmera. Related Video:
Autoblog In Cuba: 1957 Chevy Bel Air Review
Mon, Oct 5 2015If you've been following the Autoblog In Cuba series, you may remember that my efforts to rent a car in the country were ultimately unsuccessful. Misinformation, bad planning, and a lack of rental car inventory conspired to disrupt my hoped-for driving adventure. I discovered in my week of exploration, however, that the terrific thing about Havana is that there's always another adventure to be found – if you're willing to look. A car I could drive myself might have been impossible to come by, but a ride to remember was not. After all, even when reviewing a new car, I've found that impressions about the car and the route can be credibly formed from the right seat. Starting from the parking lot of the grand Hotel Nacional, finding an interesting car for hire is as simple as walking up and down the block. Scads of classic American iron wait just outside the hotel gates, in a riot of colors and conditions befitting the tropical climate. Fords from the 1940s are plentiful – more sedans than coupes – and the glory days of General Motors are represented by enough Pontiacs and Cadillacs to fill a Bruce Springsteen B-sides album. But the Chevy Bel Air is the king of the road here, by some margin. View 30 Photos I settled on a burnt orange 1957 Chevy Bel Air convertible, in tourist-appropriate condition. I was looking for a hardtop at the request of my crew's audio/video needs, but settled on a burnt orange 1957 Chevy Bel Air convertible, in tourist-appropriate condition. This car might look good as a prop in the background on your vacation photos – hair blowing in the breeze with the ocean at your back, parked in front of Che's face in Revolution Square, etc. – but was far from pristine on a closer inspection. A perfect representative of the Cuban average. At least the price was right: $50 for two hours to make it 12 miles to Hemingway's house, and back. My driver was a kid named Daniel who looked to be about 20 years old. The Chevy doesn't belong to him, he co-drives it with the owner, but he was able to give me the basic mechanical rundown. The eight- or six-cylinder engine that Chevy shipped this convertible with was long gone. No surprise there, as nearly every American-made car I'd ridden in so far was powered by some belching Mercedes diesel. Despite it's clattering note, Daniel said the lump under the hood of the '57 drinks gas: a four-cylinder of Russian origins, pulled out of a GAZ Volga as best I can understand.
