1966 Chevrolet Corvette on 2040-cars
Van, Texas, United States
I am always available by mail at: luzlaamarian@ukdesigners.org .
This 1966 Corvette convertible is in good condition overall. Unlike most Corvettes this age, this is a matching
numbers 327/350 engine with the original 4 speed transmission and differential in the car, which were rebuilt
approximately 15 years ago. Roughly 25,000 miles on it since. It runs and drives well and Interior, exterior and
undercarriage are in nice weekend driver condition. AM/FM aftermarket radio, with the original '66 Corvette
design, allow you to play your mp3 player or music from your smartphone through the car audio system.
Besides the desirable 327/350 engine and 4 speed tranny, the car has an almost new white convertible top, and the
original hard top which goes with the car. The hard top is in good condition on the inside, but was not painted
with the rest of the car. Paint on this Corvette is nice. Paint on the hard top is fair and showing its age.
Interior is nice. Seats, carpet, dash, glass etc. are all in good condition. Engine, transmission, clutch are
solid. Engine compartment is leak free. Four wheel disc brakes. No power assist. E brake is inoperative and
needs repair. Undercarriage is clean and rust free. Would need under the hood detailing, minor maintenance and
repair to be a show car.
NADA current book values on a 66 Corvette Convertible optioned like this one range from a low of about $58,000 to a
high value of more than $100K. A copy of the most recent NADA Classic and Collectible Car guide is included with
the pictures as a reference.

Sunday Drive: Trucks and SUVs of all shapes and sizes
Sun, Nov 5 2017The American automotive marketplace is dominated by trucks and SUVs, and so was the last week of coverage on Autoblog. By far, the most popular story of the week was our First Drive of the 2018 Lincoln Navigator. It may look like an old-school lumberer, but in reality Lincoln's flagship is a thoroughly modern, turbocharged-V6-powered, three-row, luxury people mover. The Jeep Wrangler is the world's most recognizable vehicle. So it's no surprise that the next version looks a whole heck of a lot like the last one, and the one before. It's all in the details, which is why we were so excited when Jeep decided to unleash a trio of images showing both two- and four-door Wranglers for us to dissect ahead of the SUV's official debut at the L.A. Auto Show later this year. Past that, spy photos of the next Chevy Silverado and Ram 1500 were predictably popular. See both of those below, and the cap it all off, check out the entire week's worth of SEMA coverage – including the bonkers Hennessey VelociRaptor 6x6 – in our mega image gallery at the bottom of this post. Enjoy! As always, tune in to Autoblog next week for a front-row seat to all the happenings worth following in the automotive industry. 2018 Lincoln Navigator First Drive | From black sheep to flagship 2018 Jeep Wrangler revealed: First photos released before L.A. Why Cadillac thinks it needs to succeed in Europe to sell cars elsewhere
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Ward's Auto has taken an interesting look at the renewed focus General Motors is showing towards Cadillac in Europe. Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe (pictured), says in order for the luxury brand to thrive in China, it first needs to succeed in the old country. The reason? Chinese buyers look to Europe for cues as to what's deemed worthy of the term "luxury." There are hurdles to the plan, however. In addition to the fact that the EU is flooded with high-end nameplates, GM doesn't necessarily have the distribution network in place to put buyers behind the wheel.
Combine that with persistent economic woes and Cadillac's checkered past marred by a lack of diesel engine options and a bankrupt distributor, and the road ahead for the brand looks like less of an uphill climb and more like a straight-up cliff face. But Docherty is optimistic and says she has a plan for the brand. We recommend heading over to Ward's for a closer look at the full read.
