Details: 1963 VIN 115968, May build, 327/340hp, Silver Blue, dark blue interior, replacement 1964 block. Owned for 2.5 years; did not get any substantial history on the car but it was delivered new in Florida. Everything on this car has been touched except the paint! I wanted to do this car to a high level of correct technical and mechanical detail not worrying about the paint or driving it around. All that is left to do on this car to make it an overall high quality restoration is the paint.YOU CAN'T BUY ANY OTHER ENTRY LEVEL CAR AND DO ALL THE THINGS THAT HAVE BEEN DONE TO THIS CAR WITHOUT BEING WAY OVER MY ASKING PRICE.. The paint is very correct from a color and metallic size standpoint. It has a number of scratches and small door chips as well as shows age in the tiny spider cracking. It�s a decent 20-footer if you will 2. I have some of the best original hubcaps you will find anywhere. Drivetrain/frame/mechanics 1. Original rear spring was replaced with new correct Eaton unit, kept original. Ride height is perfect. 2. Original 4:11, correct dated, gear was replaced with a new 3:36 gear and a new Eaton posi unit 3. Original trailing arms were replaced with new units with all new bearings etc. 4. The supporting member that the pumpkin bolts to, that attaches to the sombrero�s was replaced. 5. One of the half shafts was replaced as well as all new u-joints everywhere. 6. Drive shaft balanced with new u-joints 7. Number 4 frame member was replaced with a new OEM unit and welded into place. 8. The rest of the frame has some rust but is serviceable and safe and has been looked at by multiple mechanic. IT IS SOLID 9. Original transmission (Muncie) with correct dates and VIN stamp was completely rebuilt and a new wide ratio gear installed to mate to the 3:36 rear end. 10. New Luk clutch was installed along with new correct 63 fork, throw out bearing and thrust bushing. 11. The engine block is an 870 correct casting block but is NOT dated correctly (DEC 64). I did a complete rebuild of the engine and found that most all the 340HP parts were correctly dated for the May build. The windage tray looked like the original lost a rod and that is why there is a replacement block. All engine parts were of good quality and documented, eagle rods, TRW pistons, crank turned .010 etc etc. Correct 609 water pump, carb, distributor (by Lars) etc etc. rebuilt Alt which is not correct but I have correct core that goes with the car. I restored the engine compartment to as close to factory as I could. New exhaust manifolds (2.5�) and all parts restored to high level of accuracy and appearance. Carb done to correct show factory condition. Used flat pistons for 10-1 CR and used stock 300HP cam and hydraulic lifters. Original balancer a restored by Damper Doctor. New fan clutch. 12. I took the liberty with adding the Borgeson power steering unit and pump. I have the original steering gear and in fine shape. Worth every cent! 13. The entire brake system has been checked and any issues were addressed. All drums in excellent shape and had been freshly turned. Pads in fine shape. Replaced rear hydraulic units and adjusted. Brand new GM correct replacement Master cylinder. Brakes function excellent. Emergency brake functions as well. 14. New aluminized exhaust system from corvette Central with the N-11 mufflers (welded). New tips and all hangers etc and new heat riser unit. 15.

2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vs Big Three-Row Crossovers | Spec comparison
Fri, Jan 8 2021The three-row 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is here, entering an ever-growing segment of big crossovers that Jeep has ignored since the Commander of the late 2000s. Of course, the Dodge Durango has basically been a three-row version of the current Grand Cherokee with Dodge styling and a different interior, so it's not like The Corporate Entity Formerly Known as Chrysler has been without a contender in the segment. Jeep is a stronger brand than Dodge, however, and the three-row midsize segment is stronger than those with two rows (there's a vast sales difference between the Chevrolet Traverse and Blazer, as well as the Honda Pilot and Passport). In other words, the Grand Cherokee L could be a very big deal. It is also, quite literally, a very big deal. As you're about to see, it is now the largest three-row crossover, besting the length, wheelbase and height of even the gargantuan Traverse. There's more to the story than that, however, so we put together the below comparison chart to show you how the new Grand Cherokee L lines up on paper versus the biggest three-row crossovers. That includes the 2021 Ford Explorer, 2021 Kia Telluride, 2021 Hyundai Palisade and 2022 Chevrolet Traverse. This group also represents some of the strongest entries in the segment as well as those we feel are most likely to be considered alongside the big Jeep. To that end, we also included the 2021 Lincoln Aviator in the chart since its base price is actually less than what we anticipate the luxurious, range-topping Grand Cherokee L Overland and Summit trim levels to start. Engines and drivetrains Note the differences in curb weight here. The Grand Cherokee L has the highest base curb weight of the group apart from the high-lux Aviator, yet its 3.6-liter V6 has the least amount of power and torque. Therefore, it'll be surprising if it's not the slowest in the group. There's of course the Hemi V8 available on the top Overland and Summit trim levels, but again, a hefty curb weight works against it. At 5,330 pounds, the lightest V8-powered JGCL weighs 600 pounds more than V6-power Explorer Platinum and ST models. On the other hand, nothing can touch the Hemi Jeep's towing capacity, and only the 400-hp Aviator betters the Jeep's base V6. Its 6,200-pound towing capacity greatly outdoes the 5,000-pound limits of not only the Telluride, Palisade and Traverse, but most others in the segment as well.

Chevy Malibu will become 45-mpg strong hybrid with next update
Wed, Mar 25 2015Come next year there'll be no more mild hybrid pretensions for the Chevrolet Malibu - the next-generation sedan will borrow technology from the 2016 Volt and get a proper hybrid powertrain. A 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine gets help from a two-motor drive unit adapted from the Volt for 182 system horsepower, the motor drive powered by an 80-cell, 1.5-kWh lithium-ion battery. Chevrolet says that when combined with features like grille shutters and a lower ride height, it expects the Malibu Hybrid will post a combined fuel economy rating of more than 45 miles per gallon, which would best the hybrid trims of the Ford Fusion, Toyota Camry and Hyundai Sonata. Electric power alone can power the car up to 55 miles per hour, and The Bowtie's first use of exhaust gas heat recovery will help maintain high hybrid performance in cold weather and be used to heat the engine and cabin. The Malibu Hybrid should go on sale in the Spring of next year, for now there's a press release below. Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid Derives Technology from Volt GM estimates combined fuel economy ratings to exceed 45 mpg DETROIT, 2015-03-25 – Chevrolet's recent production announcement of its all-electric vehicle based on the Bolt EV concept, as well as the introduction of the 2016 Chevrolet Volt, will be joined by a strong hybrid version of the next-generation Malibu. Using technology from the 2016 Chevrolet Volt propulsion system, Malibu Hybrid will offer an estimated combined fuel economy rating exceeding 45 mpg, higher than the combined mileage ratings of the Ford Fusion, Toyota Camry and Hyundai Sonata hybrid variants. "The 2016 Malibu Hybrid will offer impressive fuel economy, exceptional driving characteristics and gorgeous styling," said Jesse Ortega, Chevrolet Malibu chief engineer. "Besides leveraging innovation from the Chevrolet Volt, the Malibu Hybrid also has unique features that help improve aerodynamics, like upper and lower grille air shutters to improve airflow and a reduced ride height, all of which help reduce fuel consumption," Ortega said. An all-new direct-injection 1.8L 4-cylinder engine mated to a two-motor drive unit slightly modified from the 2016 Chevrolet Volt drive unit powers the Malibu Hybrid. The drive unit provides additional power to assist the engine during acceleration, for 182 horsepower (136 kW) of total system power.
