Up for sale is a 2010 Chevrolet Colorado Z71 4x4 V8! The truck is a trooper and a looker I get compliments all the time on the truck. There's only a couple modifications on the Truck which include the following: exhaust system with a magnaflow muffler, an aftermarket Viper alarm with remote start, Spray in over the rail bedliner, aftermarket heated seats installed by the local Chevrolet dealer, Class 3 hitch and a Rough Country 2.5 inch suspension lift on BFG All Terrain LT tires. This vehicle is perfect for someone who wants the ease of parking a car but, has the need to tow or haul something in the bed and needs better than average fuel economy out of a truck (I Saw up to 22mpg) and the 4WD for when the weather is not cooperative. Winter is coming so buy it now before the weather gets too nasty! The rear drum brakes were just done 1,500 miles back and comes with a new set of front pads yet to be installed (the fronts were still good with 50% brake pad remaining). The Transfer Case, Transmission and differentials were serviced 15,000 miles back so you are ready to roll. The oil has been changed every 5k miles with mobil 1 sythetic and a delco filter since I've taken ownership of the vehicle. I just recently installed new headlight and marker lamp assemblys and applied headlight armor to the them to protect them from pitting and oxidation as well! I never took this truck offroading or back into mudholes the most it ever did was go down to the pond on our property. You will not find a nicer Truck at this price with these options and that has been this maintained and it is also still under GM's 5yr 100,000 mile drivetrain warranty. So Buy with confidence you will not be disapopinted in this Truck it is clean it is ready to go!! If you have any questions feel free to message me. I'm Also selling this vehicle locally and reserve the right too pull this vehicle from auction. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping. |

Opel's own ad shows Ampera-e beating Opels in drag race
Thu, Sep 8 2016The Opel Ampera-e isn't expected to set any world records on a quarter-mile drag strip. But when it comes to crossing a major boulevard, though, the European version of the Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicle will more than hold its own, potentially scaring inattentive pedestrians everywhere. According to a 35-second video posted by General Motors' Opel division, at least. Opel set up the Ampera-e against four other small-and-sporty vehicles, including racing versions of the Opel Adam and Opel Astra as well as stock versions of the Opel Insignia and Corsa (what, you expected a Corvette to be in there?). With the EV's off-the-line torque as a selling point, Opel showed the Ampera-e beating the other vehicles in a 30-meter (100-foot) drag race. Of course, the video also shows the EV getting passed by some of the others soon after, but the point was made. Opel doubled down by adding the tagline "Fun to Drive" at the end of the video. While Opel hasn't revealed the single-charge range of the Ampera-e, it should be roughly the same as the Chevrolet Bolt, which will be about 200 miles. In addition, the Ampera-e, like the Bolt in the US, will get 200 horsepower from its electric motor, and will be able to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than seven seconds. The Ampera-e will debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show later this month. General Motors said in February that Europe would get the Ampera-e by next year. Opel had previously used the Ampera name with the Euro version of the Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in. GM reintroduces Tripower name in the worst way possible
Wed, Aug 1 2018The story of General Motors' use of the Tripower moniker begins way back in 1957, when Semon E. "Bunkie" Knudsen, then General Manager of GM's Pontiac division, directed his engineers to inject more performance into his brand's line of V8-powered automobiles. Fuel injection was an option, but hot rodders flocked instead to Tri-Power (marketed way back when with a hyphen), which grafted a trio of two-barrel Rochester carburetors onto a single intake manifold. A legend was born. And that legend was born of performance. At idle and when full power wasn't required, Pontiac's Tri-Power system used just the middle carburetor, which helped make the setup easier to tune. Depending on the year and model, either a vacuum system or a mechanical linkage opened up the two outer carbs, thereby switching from two barrels to six, and allowing the engine to take in more fuel and air. And it was an easy marketing win – six barrels is better than four barrels, right? Because performance! So, when news filtered in that GM has resurrected the Tripower name, those of us who grew up attending classic car shows and wrenching on old Pontiacs did a double-take. And then we all collectively sighed. Turns out that today's Tripower refers to a trio of fuel-saving measures that include cylinder deactivation, active thermal management, and intake valve lift control, according to Automotive News. And, at least for now, it applies to GM's line of fullsize trucks powered by a 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. We're all for saving fuel whenever possible. And we have zero say in how any automaker chooses to market its products and technologies. But, we'll offer our two cents anyway: Relaunching a storied name from the past is fine. Relaunching a storied name from the past while completely overlooking the reasons the name got famous in the first place is only going to irritate the people who remember the name in the first place. Couldn't they just call this new technology package something else?
