Please read carefully:

We purchased this truck from an insurance auction with the intention to use it as a Part Runner Truck for our dealership. It had damage to the passenger side doors. Both doors were replaced. No mechanical/ drivetrain was damaged in accident.

We had it for 1 year without any problems, when one day it would not start. Our mechanic fixed the no start problem but after that, the mileage went up 50000 miles because he installed a BCM from another truck- but it starts/runs now. Anyway the TCM went out after we got it back and we honestly do not have the knowledge to fix this truck.

We got the truck with 104,995 miles and did not drive much, last odometer before “fix” was 109,xxx. It is stuck at 159855. Its sold as True mileage unkown/not actual.

The 4x4 worked without problem but the 4wd switch lights/buttons do not work- we are pretty sure it’s the transfer case control module (says “service 4wd” in dash). It is stuck in 2wd and it was working before the BCM problem started.

The body shop also removed the seats and unplugged the seatbelts with the battery connected which triggered the airbag light. Airbags did not deploy.

It drives straight, no aligment needed.

It is a nice truck, in good shape mechanically- just the electrical needs to be repaired.

Needs:

- Cracked Windshield (see pic)

- Electrical

It comes with or without the camper top, it is up to the buyer, the top is not a perfect fit and the lift gate rods are not working.

Please contact me through ebay if you have any question, prior to auction end.

The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs/arrangements. Location Edgewater, Md21037

We are not allowed to sell to Maryland Residents.

Any other state is welcome to bid/buy.

The truck is sold as is. We described all defects to the best of our knowledge.

The truck has smoke holes in the seats but does not smell. Also hole and stain in the back seat area. Airbag light, check engine light, service 4wd are on. Normal wear, small dings/ scratches, clear silicone where camper meets cab/3rd brake light (from camper install). black silicone residue on passenger door top from plastic window cover.

2015 Chevrolet Trax

Thu, Dec 4 2014

After the obligatory product presentation for the 2015 Trax, I caught up with Steve Majoros, Chevrolet's director of marketing for crossovers and cars, and asked him to elaborate on which markets his planners believe will be the hot starters for this tiny CUV. Without much hesitation, Majoros began to click off traditional sales havens for Subaru, namely, New England and the snowy bits of the East Coast, Colorado and the Pacific Northwest. That news might not surprise you, but it did me. Perhaps it's something as basic as the Trax's tall-hatchback looks, or the emphasis Chevrolet put on the urban driving cycle during my test in San Diego. But before my chat with Majoros, I'd considered this a crossover pointed at the Millennial city mouse more than his bumpkin cousin. But a closer look had me re-examining the granola cred of Chevy's smallest crossover. Having spent my fair share of time in New England and around New Englanders, I started by mentally listing the Trax's Subaru-like traits: practicality, thrift, all-weather ability and, well, just a dash of ugliness. (I suppose a hatchback needn't always be ugly to sell in Maine, or Boulder or Portland... but a 'distinctive' face doesn't seem to hurt.) After a day of driving through sunny San Diego and its surroundings, I can say that Trax makes an interesting case for itself against the standard bearers of the L.L. Bean set, but I'm less sure of its argument for young urbanites. The Trax looks a lot like an Equinox whose suit shrunk in the wash. Chevy's has downsized its own, rather conservative crossover styling to fit the proportions of the subcompact Trax; to my eyes, it looks a lot like an Equinox whose suit shrunk in the wash. That's fine for offering a cohesive look for the Chevy family of crossovers, but it seems out of step with the rest of the segment. If the Trax's current competitive set were the cast of a high school-based TV show, the Kia Soul would play the lovable nerd, the Nissan Juke perhaps the outsider musician and the Subaru XV Crosstrek the athletic outdoorsy kid. Chevy may see the Trax as the hipster chick wearing intentionally ironic mom jeans, but to me the styling is a little too on the nose; more like an actual grownup trying to hang with the kids. These mom jeans are genuine. Per my earlier point, that quasi-conservative look may be just fast enough for staid New Englanders, but I have a hard time seeing the bluff, big-Bowtied front end playing in Bushwick or Wicker Park.

GM recalls 740,000 vehicles over daytime running light issue

Wed, Dec 14 2022

General Motors is recalling over 740,000 vehicles due to a daytime running light issue that causes all of the affected cars to run afoul of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Vehicles affected by this recall are spread across many of GM’s brands. Models include the 2020-2023 Cadillac CT4 and CT5, 2021-2023 Buick Envision, 2022-2023 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV, 2022-2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Suburban, Tahoe and 2022-2023 GMC Sierra 1500, Yukon, and Yukon XL. GM says that the daytime running lights may remain on in these cars when the headlights are activated. This is a problem, because FMVSS rules require that the daytime running lights deactivate once the headlights turn on. If the DRLs remain on, GM says that could result in additional glare, thereby increasing the risk of an accident. The cause of this failure to deactivate the DRLs comes from body control module software that “under a combination of certain pre-conditions, could fail to deactivate the DRLs,” according to GM. Other GM vehicles were tested, but due to a difference in software or hardware, they remain unaffected. If this is reminding you of another recent GM recall, youÂ’d be right, as GM recalled another 340,000 vehicles for the same issue last month. After that original issue was found within GM, the company began looking into its other cars to determine if the population was larger than originally thought. GM found the additional vehicles included in todayÂ’s recall have the problem. The fix will either be via an over-the-air update or it will require you to bring the vehicle into a dealer for a software update, depending on which vehicle you have. Owner notification letters letting folks know what is necessary are currently scheduled to go out on January 23, 2023. Related video: Cadillac Escalade Infotainment Review
