Auctioning off my daughter's 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt 4 door...no reserve!

Pros: It has 71,758 miles on it and starts and runs well. It starts and drives well. Kelly Blue Book value in fair condition is $4,844 and $5394 in good condition.

Cons: It needs some trim pieces, a new door handle on driver's door, a cover on the passenger side mirror (see pics) a trunk lock and front brakes are bad. But again, it starts and It drives well. When she bought it from someone in Indiana, it had a normal title but when she tried to title and register it in IL, the secretary of state claims to have issues a salvage title in the past and assumes it was rebuilt. As a result, it needs two inspections: one by the Secretary of state to ensure it is road safe and second, by the Illinois state police. Once those are completed, they will issue a rebuilt title. We don't have the resources to make the above mentioned repairs and just want to sell it as is. That is why the starting price is so low relative to the value. If you are auto-handy or have friends who are mechanics, you could get it ready for about $500 (my best guess).

I have great feedback on ebay and am describing this as best as I can. I encourage any questions you may have. She paid $4,500 for it in early 2012 and hasn't driven it due to these issues. Here's a chance to get it cheap! Again, no reserve.

Recharge Wrap-up: Phoenix Cars delivers ZEUS to Navy, Volt saves gas compared to i-MiEV

Phoenix Cars has delivered its first Zero Emissions Utility Shuttle (ZEUS) flatbed truck to the US Navy. The electric flatbed will be used to transport maintenance materials around Naval Base Ventura County Port Hueneme. The Phoenix ZEUS features a 100-mile range, and can charge in just three hours. It also features vehicle-to-grid technology and direct power capability, allowing it to function as a mobile power station. ZEUS customers enjoy an eight-year/300,000-mile battery warranty and round-the-clock technical support from Phoenix. Phoenix launched an electric passenger shuttle last year, and years ago worked on an electric sport utility truck before shifting over to larger vehicles. Read more in the press release from Phoenix Cars. A man found that he used less gas by trading in his Mitsubishi i-MiEV for a Chevrolet Volt. Ben Rich saved fuel in part by using his Volt for road trips rather than needing to rent cars. Rich also found other benefits to driving a Volt, including more comfort, more freedom of movement and less range anxiety. Rich often had to turn off the heat in the winter to eke out precious miles in the Mitsubishi, which he needn't do in the Chevy, though he did have a gripe about the Volt using the gas motor to warm the car. Read more at Green Car Reports. EV drivers using the ChargePoint network have traveled over 196 million miles without gasoline. ChargePoint has tallied over 9 million charging sessions for a total of 65 gigawatt hours of energy. Based on national efficiency averages of three miles per kWh and 23.9 miles per gallon, this has saved 8.2 million gallons of gasoline and 60 million pounds of CO2. MotorWeek's Retro Review series gives us a nostalgic look back at some of the best sports cars and luxury sedans available in the 1980s and '90s. For its latest clip, the show shifts gears to remember the 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. Similar to the success of crossovers today, SUVs were tallying big sales and making big money for automakers in the mid-'90s. The Tahoe and Yukon filled slots in the market as steps down from the larger Suburban. These twins weren't wanting for space, though, with plenty of room to haul around a family. MotorWeek came away generally impressed too, and called the models some "of the better riding sport utilities we've ever experienced." This review comes with some jazzy, electric guitar licks to enjoy in the background.
