1972 CHEVY CHEYENNE SUPER SHORT BED 4X4 PICKUP TRUCK
350 ENGINE, 4 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION, A/C, POWER STEERING, POWER BREAKS, 4" LIFT, MATCHING NUMBERS ON FRAME AND BODY, THE ENGINE I AM UNABLE TO CHECK BUT IT SHOULD BE THE ORIGINAL MOTOR AS WELL. LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THIS TRUCK AS MUCH AS I CAN: TRUCK IS LOCATED IN ARIZONA AT MY FATHERS HOUSE WHO IS THE ONE SELLING IT...BUT IS OLD SCHOOL :) AND DON'T KNOW HOW TO ADVERTISE ON EBAY....SO HERE I AM DOING IT FOR HIM. THIS TRUCK WAS RUNNING WHEN PARKED ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO WHEN MY FATHER WANTED TO RESTORE IT. HE STARTED WITH THE BED BY TAKING IT OFF AND SANDBLASTING THE FRAME AND PAINTING IT. UNDER THE CAB HAS NOT BEEN DONE. THEN HE TOOK OUT THE STUFF IN THE CAB SO HE COULD GET THE SEAT REUPHOLSTERED...I DO NOT HAVE A PICTURE OF THE SEAT BUT IT IS INCLUDED AND STILL NEEDS TO BE REUPHOLSTERED. EVERYTHING FOR THE DASH IS INCLUDED. THERE IS A CRACK ON THE FRONT WINDOW AND THE REAR WINDOW IS OUT BUT IS INCLUDED. THERE IS ONE SPOT OF RUST SHOWN IN PICTURE ON THE LOWER CORNER OF THE CAB ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. THE MAIN DRIVE LINE AND TAILGATE IS OFF BUT DOES COME WITH THE TRUCK. THERE IS NO RUST ON FLOOR OF THE CAB AND IS VERY SOLID. THIS TRUCK DOES HAVE A SALVAGE TITLE FOR A REASON WE DO NOT KNOW. MY FATHER BOUGHT THE TRUCK WITH THE SALVAGE TITLE ABOUT 11 YEARS AGO. Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica
Fri, 03 Aug 2012If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.

Sat, 16 Feb 2013Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.

For those of you still with us, the first race in the United SportsCar Championship (USCC) is done, but the discussions about it certainly won't end for a while. Daytona Prototypes claimed the first four overall places, the top spot taken by the No. 5 Action Express Coyote-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Joao Barbosa, Christian Fittipaldi, Sebastien Bourdain and Burt Friselle. The 16th and final caution of the race bunched the field up for an eight-minute sprint to the flag, so the first place getter finished just 1.4 seconds ahead of the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Dallara-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Max Angelelli. Third place went to Brian Friselle in the No. 9 Action Express Chevrolet Corvette DP, 20 seconds down. Chevrolet power hasn't taken the overall win since 2003, eleven years later it scores a one-two-three-four. The No. 6 Muscle Milk/Pickett Racing ORECA-Nissan 03 scored fifth place, the top LMP2 finisher.
The Prototype Challenge class win went to the No. 54 CORE Autosport team of Colin Braun, Jon Bennett, Mark Wilkins and James Gue.
