1972 Chevrolet Malibu Chevelle

Here is a real nice car for summer cruising. I love this car!! If you look at my feedback you will notice that I buy and sell stuff. This car came to me through Ebay. I had listed a 1999 camaro ss convertible last summer. An Ebay member contacted me to possibly trade. I took this car in all original unmolested condition on trade for the camaro. I am a high school teacher and I work in the tech school. I use the autobody shop to my advantage. I did all of the body work in my home garage and sprayed it at school. I am a student of collision repair myself. I am getting better but this is not a barrett jackson car by any means. But it is really nice. I like taking things and making them nice enough that my wife will drive around in them. She always yells at me when they roll in the driveway but she loves them when they come back from school.

About the car....I drive this everyday!!!! It is the best driving, smooth cruising older car that I have ever owned. It has every piece that it came with from the factory. I took the AC off but have everything to put back on. I took the bumpers off and replaced with GM quality reproductions. I also took some stuff from my 72 corvette and put it on here. I put the dual snorkel air cleaner, intake and carb from vett. I also placed headers on the car but I have all original pieces in my basement. This is originally a base 2 barrel malibu with air but I had to click it up a notch and give it the appearance package "HEAVY CHEVY" My father would have loved it! I remember he had a Heavy Chevy T-shirt when I was a squirt. I do these cars to remember my dad and try to keep them on the road. The interior is really nice. I will add pictures when I detail it up. There is an old school SUN tach on the column. The look is awesome. The only thing missing from this car is the radio. I even have the original jack. I bought a stereo to put in but haven't got to it yet. It will go with the car. You need modern tunes. This car has the electric rear defrost add on. It also has the single 6x9 in the rear deck. I put new carpet and reupholstered front seat. The one bugger in the interior is the crack in the hole for stereo. The head unit I bought would cut that whole section out and finish it off nicely.
The speedo quit working recently too. It may just be the gear but I have not gone under to check. Everything else works. Again I drive this everyday without fail. I purposely drove it this week during the heat wave to make sure everything is 100% for the sale. I would drive this car anywhere.

The Paint Job... It is number matching code 75 cranberry red. You can pick out my errors on this car but I will also tell you that people spin their head for this car. I was just offered 12,500 at sheetz the other day and think the car is worthy of more. This car would be a great LS swap. That is where the market is now.  I am not handy enough for that or I would do it.  These cars are in the high 20s low 30s with the LS. That leaves a lot of meat on the bone to reflip this ride. In hind site I would have epoxy primed and blocked the car. It is worth the extra $$ and time. But this car is very respectful for the price.

Tires, Brakes, Shocks, Springs ALL brand new. Under carriage is detailed nicely.

I am a horse trader and will entertain all offers. I prefer GM but I will put a value to all trades. I usually get bike offers on cars and I will except them but I will be honest that I don't give much value in trade for bikes. I will do Paypal for payment but you must pay the fee. I would also do cash + whatever.  I like Boats, Backhoes, ATVs, PWC....You name it. I would definitely look at RVs as well.  I am a PA licensed salesman on my family car lot. I am in it to feed my car addiction. I lovem and leavem. I love this process, when I see all the email offers and the excitement of picking up the next love. It is my hobby not business. I don't need to sell this car so 10 grand won't take it. Guys...try to find a project. Getting a nice car to start is tough and getting them to this level is costly. If you can't do stuff yourself, you will never get your project this nice under $15K. It is not worth wasting your time when you can get them this nice for this price. I troll every night looking cars. I am obsessed with car value. Good Luck finding this car again for the money. GETR NOW!!

I can take pictures of anything you need to see and text it to you. I am located near the top of the 80s. Exit 145 off I81 or 256 off I80. I sell everything to the first pile of cash that shows up. I end these auctions early because there are way too many couch buyers and tire kickers. I like guys like me....We put the line in the water and see whats out there. When we see it...We move quickly to get the deal done...I don't post my personal stuff here but you can email  me through Ebay and I will text anybody anything who has a bid in on my car. Good Luck and I hope I covered everything!!!! If not, shoot me an email and i will fire back as soon as I can

2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV output jumps to 754 hp and 785 lb-ft

Sun, Oct 23 2022

A couple of days ago, GMC unleashed its 2024 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 pickup, the luxury truck division's version of the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV. As has been the case between Chevy and GMC for decades, GMC designers worked to put ample visual difference between the two pickups that share the similar underpinnings. Unlike what's been the historical case, GMC announced output figures for the Sierra EV well above those for the Silverado. Preliminary estimates for the battery-electric Sierra with the dual-motor powertrain are 754 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque. Chevy revealed the 2024 Silverado EV in January with 664 hp and 785 lb-ft in RST trim. We're not sure what happened after the GMC debut, but the Bowtie has updated the Silverado's output to match the GMC with 754 hp and 785 lb-ft. Chevy truck communications spokesperson Sean Szymkowski submitted a statement to various outlets explaining, "As we prepare for production of the Silverado EV, our engineering team has further refined the estimated performance specs for the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV RST First Edition. GM now estimates horsepower to be up to 754 and torque up to an estimated 785 lb-ft when Wide Open Watts mode is engaged." It's possible Chevrolet did so in order to forestall backlash about the disparity, or it's possible the automaker already planned to do so after the GMC dropped. On the ICE side, buyers have got used to powertrain parity, the Silverado and Sierra offering the same engines with the same outputs even with pricing about $3,600 apart on the respective top trims. No matter how the decision was made, the benefits redound to Silverado EV buyers. By the way, the "Wide Open Watts" reference refers to the driving mode required to extract these peak power figures. In the GMC Sierra EV, this is called Max Power Mode. We're still looking for clarity on the output figures in everyday driving modes, we believe those will be the same 510 hp and 615 lb-ft that's the maximum in the lower trim Silverado EV Work Truck.    With a year to wait before the Silverado RST EV reaches reservation holders, and with the Chevrolet Work Truck providing real-world feedback before the RST arrives, don't be surprised at more tweaks made to both the Silverado and Sierra EVs before they hit the market. Travis Kvapil tells Twitter his Sprint Cup car was stolen

Fri, Feb 27 2015

There's a bizarre story coming out of Atlanta today, as NASCAR racer Travis Kvapil is reporting that his Sprint Cup Car was stolen from a lot at the Drury Inn in Morrow, GA. Kvapil announced the theft, which included the black pickup that was hauling the trailer and the #44 Chevrolet SS Sprint Cup Car – shown above, with driver JJ Yeley at the wheel – on Twitter. According to Kvapil, the car wasn't going to be ready for the Thursday test session at Atlanta Motor Speedway, although forecasts of snow forced the team to dispatch their main trailer and tools to the track ahead of the car, which left for Atlanta later yesterday. According to ESPN, police in Morrow have video of the "incident," which happened at 5:34 AM Friday, with police investigating it as as criminal in nature. "Sometimes what happens when thieves see trailers, they might just assume there's something in the trailer they can go off and sell," Sgt. Larry Oglesby, of the Morrow PD, told USA Today. "Sometimes when things like this occur, they will drop off the items in a parking lot somewhere – like a Walmart parking lot – once they realize what they have." "All we know is it was a silver jeep," team owner John Cohen told USA Today. "One guy got out and they pulled off together." Earlier, Cohen told ESPN that the theft will force the team out of this weekend's race at the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500, at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Kvapil, meanwhile, has taken to Twitter to appeal to his followers to be on the lookout for the truck, trailer and race car. Here's hoping it turns up all together. Check out the driver's tweets, below. Wow. Anyone near Atlanta find my stolen Cup car let me know! Unreal - Travis Kvapil (@TravisKvapil) February 27, 2015 I bet when whoever has it, opens the trailer and is going to be like 'oh snap' - Travis Kvapil (@TravisKvapil) February 27, 2015 Ok, to clarify. @Teamxtreme44 transporter is @amsupdates. The guys stayed and worked on the car Thursday at the shop in NC. They drove.... - Travis Kvapil (@TravisKvapil) February 27, 2015 down last night in a Ford dually and enclosed trailer with racecar inside. That was stolen out of hotel parking lot this am in Morrow, GA - Travis Kvapil (@TravisKvapil) February 27, 2015 Black Ford dually, white enclosed tag behind trailer. New Jersey plates - Travis Kvapil (@TravisKvapil) February 27, 2015 Dang.... I'm wishing we had LoJack or something on it!

8 cars we're most looking forward to driving in 2015

Mon, Jan 5 2015

Now that 2014 is officially in the books, it's time to look ahead. And following our list of the cars we liked best last year, we're now setting our sights at the hot new metal that's coming our way in 2015. Some of these, we've already seen. And some are still set to debut during the 2015 auto show season. But these are the machines that keep us going – the things on the horizon that we're particularly stoked to drive, and drive hard. Jeep Renegade Not the Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Not the Ford Mustang GT350. Not the new John Cooper Works Mini. Nope, I'm looking forward to the adorable, trail-rated Jeep Renegade. And that's because I really, really, really like our long-term Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I do not, however, care too much for the Cherokee's looks, and I really don't like its $38,059 price tag. The Renegade Trailhawk, meanwhile, promises much of the same rough-and-tumble character as its big brother, but at what we expect will be a more reasonable price (I'm personally wagering on the baby Jeep's off-road model starting at no more than $23,000). With a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a nine-speed automatic, it should also be a bit easier to fill than the V6-powered Cherokee. Also, I can't help but love the way the Renegade looks. It's like someone took a Wrangler, squished it by 50 percent and then handed it off to George Clinton for a healthy dose of funk. The interior, with its bright, expressive trims and color schemes should also be a really nice place to spend some time. I'll be attending the Renegade's launch later this month, so I'll have a much shorter wait than my colleagues. Here's hoping the baby Jeep lives up to my expectations. – Brandon Turkus Associate Editor Mazda MX-5 Miata Here's an uncomfortable truth: I'd rather spend a day driving a properly sorted Mazda MX-5 Miata of any generation on a winding road than I would nearly any other vehicle, regardless of power, price or prestige. It's not just that I prize top-down driving and enjoy the Miata's small size because it gives me more road to play with. I just find there's more motoring joy to be had with high-fidelity handling and an uncorrupted car-to-driver communication loop than I do with face-distorting power or grip – let alone valet-stand gravitas. But perhaps most of all, I love Miatas because they can deliver that level of feedback and driver reward at modest speeds that won't put the locals on edge or endanger lives – you can use more of the car more of the time.
