Only 1700 miles on new odometer since complete and total frame off nut and bolt build.

700HP engine that started out as a big block tall deck 427,  bored out and stroked with 454 crank and .400 longer rods. Can’t remember,  but think that makes it a 502.  1050 CFM Dominator carb, square port Edlebrock aluminum Victor JR heads,  all dyno’d to 700HP!! Estimated to be nearly 975HP at the crank when the nitrous is hooked up.  It starts right up with a simple turn of the key, producing a crisply beautiful and soothing,  albeit Satanic  thumpy purr. The transmission is a Turbo 350  featuring a manual shift body rated to back up over 1000 HP. Transmission is at your service compliments of  B & M.  The explosive force is mated to a rock solid bullet proof four link race suspension with QA1 adjustable coil overs, 9 inch race rated custom hand built rear end with full spool 3.55 gearing.  And contrary to the beastly specs,  it all goes down the highway as smooth and as effortlessly as any muscle car around.

All of this insanity is brought to its senses by a brand new 4 wheel power disc brake system with all braided stainless lines.

Flawless show quality era correct “Richard Rawlings Green” metallic paint with not a single chip,  scratch or imperfection,  stripes are flush and flat with clearcoat over all and not just laid on top.  Floors,   trunk,  frame rails,  etc. are all 100% solid.  Custom flush firewall and hi gloss detailed and painted engine compartment. All new chrome front to back.

Too much else to list;  will try to include it all here:

All 4 brand new Nitto tires,  all 4 brand new Boss Wheels,  All new interior,  again in era correct “Richard Rawlings Green”,  Aluminum radiator,  dual electric fan, line lock system, Grant GT steering wheel, Auto Meter Phantom gauges in custom billet dash panel,  Alpine CD,  all new moldings and seals,  QA1 fully adjustable coil overs at all 4 corners..

This truly is a serious no excuses high quality Chevelle SS tribute resto-mod in literally perfect concourse condition.  If there is a flaw anywhere on the car it has yet to disclose itself.   This is a must see to believe car.  Talking about it,  showing it,  and taking it out to play is always a pleasure.  If you are a seasoned car collector ready to step up and you are serious and have the cash,  I look forward to meeting you.

Estimated cost to recreate: over $55,000.00.

2020 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra recalled due to faulty brake component

Wed, Mar 11 2020

General Motors is recalling 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups to fix a defect in the trucks' brake system. Certain Silverado and Sierra pickups were produced with brake-caliper bolts that were not heat-treated. Without heat-treating, the bolts are weaker than they should be, and there is a risk that they could fail, which would affect the trucks' braking performance, possibly leading to a crash. In total, 20,352 vehicles are affected. Owners of affected trucks will be contacted by GM. Dealers will inspect the bolts and replace those that are defective. Related Video:

Driving McLaren's Sports Car and 'The Best Corvette' at the M1 Concourse | AutoblogVR

Wed, Apr 12 2017

There's nothing better than a track day. Great cars on a great track are always great fun. Recently, we had the opportunity to check out the new M1 Concourse in Pontiac, MI, with two of the coolest cars in the game; a McLaren 570S and a Corvette Grand Sport. Driving the 570S was Autoblog senior editor Greg Migliore, and he didn't hold back. Getting behind the wheel of the McLaren, Greg explains that although this is McLaren's idea of a sports car, "it's all relative." Topping out at 204 miles per hour with 562 horsepower, there's no two ways about it: this thing is a monster. While the 570S was fantastic, we had another sports car we wanted to drive and editor-in-chief Mike Austin was just the man for the job. Enter the Corvette Grand Sport. Mike pushed all 460 horses of the 'Vette to the limit and came away impressed with the car, even calling it "the best Corvette." Comparing it to its more powerful sibling, the Z06, Mike goes so far as to say the Z06 has too much power, while the Grand Sport seems to be the third bear's bowl of porridge in the Corvette family... It's just right. We captured all the action of the day with 360° cameras so you can feel like you're right there in the car sitting shotgun with us! You can check out the McLaren and Corvette laps above, but the best way to view them is through the AutoblogVR app, where you can watch the videos on your VR headset or in a nice swivel-y office chair so you can take in the sights all around you. Each month, new episodes will launch on the AutoblogVR App. We'll be posting them here on Autoblog, but for the best experience, head over to the app, which you can download for free from the App store and Google Play. Be sure to try it with a cardboard viewer, too!
