Exterior-I am selling this beautiful 1970 Chevelle Malibu, which is a great cruiser, and is in good condition for its age. This vehicle has been painted 5 years ago. The exterior has minor cosmetic defects. The driver side front quarter panel has a scratch where Malibu emblem is located. The driver side door has a quarter sized dent. The trunk Chevelle Malibu emblem is missing. The passenger side rear finder light cover is missing, however these simple items can be purchased anywhere that carry after market parts. The engine is a rebuilt 350 V-8 with less than 500 new miles on it, MSD distributor, and Edelbrock carburetor. The engine also has dual cooling electric fans, in addition to a high performance alternator. The AC is also functional. Interior- The headliner and seats in good condition. This car has minor cosmetics on inside door panels. Lock for glove box needs to be reinstalled. This car also has Viper alarm installed hooked to air-horns for theft deterrent. Vipor alarm also starts vehicle. |

The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.
GM recalls full-size truck, SUVs and vans over faulty shifter mechanism
Mon, 07 Jan 2013Twelve different General Motors vehicles from the 2013 model year, up to 54,686 units in total, are being recalled over two potential issues with their steering columns. The models in question, all full-size trucks, SUVs or vans, are the: Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Express, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Savana, Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL.
The affected vehicles were built with a fractured parking lock cable or "a malformed steering column lock actuator gear in the lock module assembly." As a consequence, they could shift out of park without the brake pedal being applied or with the key removed or in the off position.
A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicates that the recall should begin on January 17. GM will notify owners, at which time they can take their vehicles to their dealers for repair free of charge. Have a look at the bulletin below for more information.
